He ushers the girl to a large boulder blasted with snow. He then turns to the other two girls. "You both find cover and strike once it rises, do not keep visible at any point. Attack and retreat." he comments as they both nod and look to each other before leap away with fades from existence. Raidou spins his weapon up and peruses the field with an advancing gaze. The information he had on this boss showed it to be quite the powerhouse, and he'd take no chances. It would spawn at dawn as it always had so they had time to prepare. Ripping his weapon from its sheath and watching the sky slowly shift in color they had but an hour to set up the titan's fall, with no risks it would be slain before it could act. "You got it dude, kick his butt bro." she shouts out as she scampers behind the rock as she was directed, unsure what she was facing but if book boy was so darn serious it was obviously something huge. In silence, the songstress wondered what it could be? maybe a giant dragon, maybe the sun itself was going to throw up its dukes and they'd be sun punching. Or maybe it was a giant popsicle made of orange cream. Shaking her head trying to keep her head in the game, Shiina cannot help but press her body against the rock and peer over the top of it carefully. What is it going to be? I bet it will be tasty. I mean we are basically in a freezer and only good things come out of freezers right? she looks off in an aimless direction as if looking to someone that wasn't there she could swear she heard tiny clicking noises. Looking to her master and paying him a nod before a glimpse to Kasumi for it seemed as though they would be acting in tandem this time. The reluctance twists her face for a moment, as much as she wasn't entirely on board with the idea but would not argue. She takes a leap backward as a shimmer of her mist causes her to fade from sight, taking to a highrise from a frozen solid tree. Kneeling low and lifting the mask on her face to cover the bottom half, she lays in wait for what was to come at her master's call with a low kneel. She was ready and willing to help slay the beast when it showed its frame to her it would die before it could act, she was sure of it. Seems it was going to be more bloodshed and with a turn of her head she looks into Setsuna's cold blue eyes and see the disdain in them. "We can do this." she mutters softly to the girl with silver hair before they turn from another and separate. With her back pressed to the flat of an incline, she peeks around to see Raidou standing out in the open as the sun began to rise and cause the sky to shift in color to a brighter tone. She could feel her spine jerk from the cold, not quite used to such a bitter place. Kasumi would do her best to remain out of sight and keep her eyes peeled to the field, waiting for the opportune moment upon which to strike. He rips the golden metal blade from his back, casting a blinding flash to his surroundings as the material hums with the motion. Auric Sol seemed as eager to fight as he was, it wouldn't be long now before the boss spawned, and as such his fighting spirit began to manifest on his back. He'd need to build pressure and draw the creatures focus with all he had to offer, it would take a wide dispersed fume to blind something so massive. The layer of sleet down the edge of the cliff began to swell and seem as though it was trying to 'stand' as Raidou looked on to it, switching his stance to a defensive one. It began to take shape as a humanoid frame albeit gigantic the size of a large building that easily dwarfed them all. Raidou activates Vengeful Riposte! We are fighting that!?" she looks to Raidou horrified then back at the creature. "What the hell dude I didn't know we were fighting Godzilla." Shiina slaps her hands together and begins to rub them feverishly together, humming a soft tone as the ground beneath her shakes in tone her hands charging red. "Well then if we are taking on a planet, gettum' cap'" she comments with a toothed grin pulling her hands apart as a wave of red pulses out from her along the floor in a ring. The light in Raidou's weapon magnifies and gains power in response "I sure hope you got dis, because this is wack but go kick his butt!" she remarks then taking to a continued hum to keep the effect active while taking shelter behind her rock, it was now her friend. Setsuna 0 Posted August 8, 2020 #7 Report Share Posted August 8, 2020 (edited) As the beast was still beginning to take shape, Setsuna saw her opportunity and shouts into the trees "Kasumi" before tearing away from the branch with a draw of her blade. The weapon glows hot as the anthem of music still echoed from Shiina's voice making it all that much brighter. As the art draws a jagged bouncing line through the air before it makes a connection with the construct's massive forearm, cleaving through it and causing it to shatter off in pieces. Setsuna parades up its appendage cleaving sizeable chunks off of it as she travels. Eventually, the light fades, and as she slides to a halt now standing on the titans shoulder she kneels low and does a vault off of it as she flickers out of existence. Landing in the canopy of a dead tree, she latches on to it with both hands and rounds it before pirouetting in the air and landing like a cat would on one of the lower branches. "I hope this is the correct decision, but I will follow your lead." Kasumi remarks slamming her hands together as they take a hue of pink, sliding her feet as she fuels them as well with the same energy. Placing her hand and one foot to the smoothed surface her back was placed to she ascends it quickly, sprinting down the length before leaping from where it breaks. She moves into an extended leg as her heel carries her through the air, as the titan looks down at Setsuna and the arm she wasn't attacking raises. Her foot connects with it as it begins to swing it down, and like a bullet Kasumi and the pink lance she was producing punch entirely through it. It shatters and the beast bellows as Kasumi spins and rights herself, landing to the ground and sliding on her feet. A twirl of pink and some cherry blossom petals fall as she vanishes from sight. "Good, then I suppose it's my turn." Raidou barks as the O&I drop and seemingly vanish from harm, a sonic burst of speed tears him from the ground as his blade burned hot with fueled stamina. The connection sounds like a clap of thunder as it shatters a good portion of the massive structure's chest causing it to fall away in large sections into the white frost below. Despite its size, the large titan drops onto its back it seems as though Raidou's blow had been more than sufficient to topple the thing before it could make an attack against the group. Standing on its chest like an uneven mountain, the blade lights again as his hatred grew. It casts the vision of the thing into darkness for all but him and him alone. In a quick show of strength, the other three members of the party scatter like beams, like shooting stars to the color of glowsticks it was like a fireworks festival. "YEEAH boi, gettum." Shiina remarks from her shelter keeping out of the mess and cheering from the sidelines as the ground beneath her shakes. She looks and watches Raidou walking on the thing's stomach. "Right right!" as she sees his weapon glow and she begins to hum producing the light again, causing the power it was generating to amplify and become even brighter. Despite the alluring and almost mystical tone of her voice, it was hard to take her seriously with her dancing around like a toddler while doing it. Looking off into the trees, she flashes a peace sign and a smile with a muttered phrase "How'd yah like that one chief?" with a beaming smile and a twirl. The mists build upon her and she gains speed. Exploiting her small stature to make toward the side of Absolute Zero's large face while Raidou although looking like a mite had it pinned. Clutching the handle of the blade on her hip, she tears it free in a quickly drawn blue line with the metal of the sword seemingly nonexistant. Carved into the side of its eye a gaping red wound that showed the cardinal's framework underneath it, having cleaved quite the amount of it out and with it a large portion of what the beast had left in its pool. She looks to Raidou, and with a silent nod meant finish it. With her part played she turns and extracts herself simply a precaution, keeping risk to a minimum is what Raidou had asked for. Kasumi's hand parade about her for a moment in long sweeping circles as the light builds. Shifting her foot forward and using her left arm as a pointer, her body in one fluid motion slides forward and extends one powerful palm with her right hand from her hip. The side of the titan's jaw seems to snap and dislocate, causing hairlines of red to form on the ice that composed its face as pieces fell free in sections. "It's up to you, should be easy now that its weakened." she flashes her cousin a smile before becoming ethereal and getting out of the thick of it. She'd not put herself in harm's way, it was what Raidou would want and he should be able to handle the rest. Kasumi and Setsuna blindside the creature in a one two punch cutting the life it had left into barely anything remaining. Pushing the blade down through its chest as it engulfs, the light of his blade spreading through its incapacitated prone frame. It begins to melt and sear in steam before it ceases to move and pops causing Raidou to fall to the ground rather hard. "Ugh." Raidou exhales, peeling himself up from the floor and looking to Shiina still standing on the edge of the cliff. He couldn't hear her but he could tell she was cheering despite the distance between them. Fixing the glasses on his face, he dusts the snow off his robe from the fall before moving for the cliff face where Shiina was waiting for their return with a grin and a shake of his head. Shiina 0 Posted August 8, 2020 #14 Report Share Posted August 8, 2020 Looking down over the swordsman as he began to ascend the cliff face he had attacked from, his robe becoming frost bitten with each handhold taken. "That was baus guys, and I helped!~" Shiina remarks with an exuberant grin as she took on a heroic pose with her fists on her hips. It seemed as though the job was long over, they had made it look easy. "Now what?" she asks in a random direction, seemingly talking to an imaginary friend before looking the rest of the party as they communed around her from their hiding places. She supposed she had a new song to write, so if there was nothing else she'd buzz out of here and dive into the scripture and try to make this glorious victory into the best of pop idol songs. A fixated gaze on Raidou, she'd wait for his dismissal practically bursting at the seams with excitement at the thought of penning this story to paper. Link to post Share on other sites
Setsuna 0 Posted August 8, 2020 #15 Report Share Posted August 8, 2020 With her disguise skill flickering out as its deactivated she joins Raidou and Shiina from the starting point, drawing the katana dull side down against her sheath and shutting it away to protect its edge. "I hope that was sufficient, my master." She looked to Raidou for acknowledgment of her deeds and to cement her actions as the correct ones. The sun was still on the rise on the horizon, they had given the beast mere moments before its demise and as such, they had the entire day left to spend. Setsuna had her own matters at which to attend if there was nothing else to take on for the day, waiting for the captain to confirm it as true before she would take her leave. She passes a hand to the cloth covering on her mouth, pulling it down to reveal the lower half of her face for it was no longer necessary as she had no reason to hide. Kasumi 0 Posted August 8, 2020 #16 Report Share Posted August 8, 2020 Being the last to join the celebration, Kasumi spins a loose strand of her orange hair around her ear and flashing a grin to the rest of the group. Listening on to Shiina and Setsuna the words 'My master' get stuck into her head. What does she mean master? is she referring to Raidou? her eyes advance to her cousin and then back to Setsuna who was paying no one but him any mind. Her thoughts trail back to blood in the sands, this must have been a result of what the final message she had received from Raidou. I hadn't noticed but she seems...different. another thought races through her mind as she loosens the hand wraps on her fists to let it breathe a little. It seems as though the task was more than finished which beckoned the question of what to do next, she looked forward to joining her cousin again on his journey even if it meant she'd need to be so violent. To Shiina and the rest he comments "That will be all for today, I have other matters to attend to. Compliments to you all for your work and teamwork." he turns and places an open hand on Setsuna's head and ruffles her hair, unsure why he had and it was slightly uncomfortable by it. She flinches before seeming to go limp under his grasp. "And this is for you, It needs some work but it should help you repair that sword if you bring it to Griswold with a couple of other pieces we will need." he mutters softly with his hand still in motion, paying her the reward he believed she sought from him with her words. Setsuna 0 Posted August 8, 2020 #18 Report Share Posted August 8, 2020 While looking at Raidou intently hoping for some praise or response to if her methods were what he was looking for, suddenly a hand moves for her face. She fritters and shuts her eyes, unsure what response to take. She then feels a softness mixed with warmth on her head, a jerk as it makes contact. With her eyes opening slightly as her head bends forward into his grasp, she stares at the floor, and with a mixture of being uncomfortable and simply enjoying it, she becomes silent and relaxed as it advances through her hair. Was this what I was after? Setsuna thinks feeling just a tad ashamed that perhaps it was, listening to Raidou as the words almost become muffled. Does he want to repair the sword I used to attack him? Why would he do that? between the contact and her confusion, Setsuna was slowly becoming fried. Link to post Share on other sites

As soon as she notices she contorts and backlashes, the words UH OH! jump through her head as she takes a strange pose with her hands near her face on one leg. The response she sees isn't the one she expected though, she thought that Setsuna might explode and start cussing or whatever. But instead, she just accepts the head pat from book boi like a puppy. Neat, I wanna try kinda Shiina thinks leaning forward for a moment before a chill down her spine draws her attention away. It was ominous like a feeling of death, as if someone looking on was warning her that doing so would probably not be the best idea. "I get chu, Later nerds." she barks into a seemingly random direction while heading for Snowfrost ahead of the others. Link to post Share on other sites

Then it hit her, Raidou was petting Setsuna's hair. Normally rather composed even Kasumi flinches and takes a step back. After a few seconds, it seems there was no response like the one she foresaw happening. A thought rung through her head I knew it something did happen, I would have never seen this being possible as she turned her back to the pair, rushing on toward Shiina as she was slipping away by the second. "Shiina wait, it's dangerous to go alone. Let me come with you." she shouts but over her shoulder, she looks back to Setsuna. The smile on her face returns, as it seems that Raidou may have found the girl's heart under all that pent up anger.
