There was no way that some idiot would possibly set up a camp, without a tent, in the middle of the damn wilds, looking like he's just cooking and trading?

"Too convenient." Dazia muttered to herself. As far as she was concerned, it was probably a trap, with ambushers. She did what she could to hide herself in the foliage, and began moving slowly as to seek out any potential ambushers, either to confirm it was a trap, or to catch a potential enemy off guard.

About half an hour of searching later, she came up absolutely empty. This damn fool's setup was legitimate. How it hadn't been raided by players or monsters yet was beyond her.

Now knowing that this was, for some stupid reason, an actual "shop", she made her way to take a look at what was in stock. She was going to need some col soon, so prosperity would be a good choice for the time being.

Just another random face in a crowd, masked by the benefits of Disguise and morphed into the image of some Nobody he'd passed in the marketplaces of Ladonia.    Supplies were running low again, and certain consumables were proving scarce.  Hopefully it was just a sign that things were especially busy across all floors, but Freyd worried that player numbers might be dwindling to a point where not enough crafters remained.  Certain PK guilds had proven especially active of late, and that posed an additional risk for those vendor crazy enough to set up shop in the wilds - this one in particular having come immediately to mind.

Things seemed safe and sound enough, for the moment.  IF Daemian was prepared to continue taking his risks, then the least he could do was buy a few things while he was here.  A few moments spared to check his own stocks found a few areas depleted.  It didn't take long at all to find what he required.

"Thanks," he mumbled, transferring his payment.  "And stay safe."

When lacking allies, get buffs, get good. When having allies, get buffs, get good. Basically Yona needed to get herself into a better state in terms of her stats and skills. For now, she'd have to train herself up to do so.

But how she ended up coming across this place was a mystery. She was just wandering the floors, and there was this campsite-shop, sticking out like a sore thumb.

Do you want thieves? Because this is how you get thieves.

After just standing there, confused, Yona tried to consider her options carefully...this was convenient...too convenient.

After taking a look around, however, it indeed was convenient. So naturally, she'd take a look at the sweet stuff, and see what she'd want. These particular foods were enhanced, so getting some of these would definitely be worth it. She pulled out some of the materials she'd found during her travels, and placed them down to exchange them for what she wanted.

With some enhanced sweets, Yona felt more prepared for what she set out to do.

Vigilon really had a lot he'd need to take care of at some point. Being out in the field as usual when training, he would wander throughout one of the many floors....

Oh, look, it's that guy and his camp again.

The fact that he hasn't been raided yet was a surprise to Vigilon. Was this player under a protection act or something? Honestly, he shouldn't be one to judge, he should really just appreciate that despite the buffs the guy makes aren't the best tasting, they were reliable and came in a pinch, which meant that whenever this guy's camp came into view, it was clearly an opportunity to stock up on buffs.

...but maybe a few essentials was all he needed for the time being. If he really wanted to stock up, then...nah, Vigilon was saving up for something big, he'd need every purchase to be an investment, rather than a "never know when you'll need 'em" scenario

Picking out three consumables, he'd proceed to make his purchase.

How this place still could be found just about anywhere was a recurring mystery to Dazia. At this rate, she just considered the whole damn thing unsolvable. There was no way this place could have gone on without getting raided...and yet, here it was.

The buffs were dull, but their enhancements served a purpose. Therefore, Dazia decided it wouldn't hurt to buy a few buffs again. She'd slain the wrong target, so now she had to prepare for the real one. Mitigation, Accuracy, Evasion...these three were all a must.

Such an investment had better come in handy. It wasn't like there was anyone else out there with such a damn convenient place.

There were just some delicacies that met her expectation. Those were few and far between, what with the amount of trial and error the commoners had to go through to rework the height of human luxury back into the game. Yet somehow there had been this dingy store off rumors she'd heard from some place or another. Upon a stroke of luck, she'd found gold.

And everything on display was exquisite.

Nian tabulated the cost in her head. Relatively cheap, given the quality at first glance. But even in her sour mood, inspecting blemishes in the chef's handiwork, she couldn't find any.

The royal huffed, almost offended, before shelling out the col necessary for her order. No unnecessary words were exchanged, and somehow it seemed like a satisfactory order was completed.

If only the king's demeanor expressed that fact first-hand.

daemien wouldn't have minded if she took the whole lot.

so she did. payment fulfilled and everything. the food was prepared even before she got there. and the woman grinned, watching the man's sullen face. he had no need to cater to others as such, and for a man who was set on a goal without caring what happened with his products, he was still bent on delivering a good service.

not that night could disagree on the same.

"what's the point of you go gallivanting around like that?" he asked, once she'd approached closer to pick up the order. "when you're here, i mean."

the woman just shrugged, giving him the same coy smile practiced over a hundred times, before taking her leave.

"Intriguing," Bahr mused as he happened upon the camp, eyeing the various snacks and meals that were strewn about. It was fortunate that he'd found the traveling cook, as the sun was now high in the sky, and he'd yet to eat that day. He was yet unsure as to the nature of hunger in this world, and whether or not he could actually fall ill from not consuming enough of it. Either way, he wasn't keen on finding out.

"Enough for the road, then." And so he grabbed as many things as his arms could carry, leaving adequate col to cover the costs.

Krysta had been needing to prepare herself for upcoming battles, but there were few places that were open, let alone any facilities that had what was needed.

Oddly enough, the fact that she had come across this particular player's nomadic establishment once again would seem to be good fortune in a time like this. The buffs this player sold were highly beneficial, but if only they had better taste. However, in a world such as this, the benefits would far outweigh the one and only minor consolation. It was simply mild, it wasn't entirely flavorless.

So it would be in Krysta's best interest to stock up for the journey ahead. It was likely she would soon need it.

she hated to admit that she needed to pop by for some supplies, especially after the encounter with the chef up on that random mountain, in pursuit of some distant sword art. what was he doing up there, anyway – it wasn't as though she'd seen him pick a fight elsewhere before, and he was always wandering around with his mess of a kitchen! night eyed him warily, as his demeanor shifted in the split second they made eye contact once again.

she dropped the col pouch on the table. he scooped it up, wordless, and handed the box of treats over. both of their expressions seemed steeled, one much more spiteful than the other, before the chef turned away from her, breaking their glare off once and for all.

The scritch and scratch of quill to paper serving as harbinger, the man's shock of white hair peeked above the large bound tome he held firmly trapped between his left arm and black armored chestpiece.

"Hmm?  Sunlight?  Here?  Where have I wandered this time?"  

Golden eyes peered up to the spec of blue sky peering in on their present location among the otherwise thick foliage of the forest.

"Is this supposed to be here?  It doesn't seem like a very practical location."  A glance upon his manual gave no indication, not that he'd yet had much time to annotate its barely sketched contents.  His efforts would take some time to bear fruit.  Quickly scribbling the location, hesitation crept in as he noted the very temporary nature of the encampment.  Such a shady venue might be geared towards less savoury characters.  Best not to linger too long.

"Maybe these will help me find it again, if I should ever have the need. Plus, who can resist a good mint gelato?  Mmmmmm."

Treats in tow, the strange knight wandered back into the woods, with nary another thought.

"Thank goodness you're still here!"  Winded by apparent haste, Ren had made his way back to the isolated encampment hoping to restock his already depleted inventory of good.  

"It, uh... seems that I like eating," he chuckled, gasping slightly in the aftermath of the run it took to get here.  "Turns out that digging is equally exhausting.  Since you're keen on barter, it seems, perhaps we can negotiate a suitable trade?  Gelato for ore seems odd, I know, but it seems that's how things work around here."  Ren didn't look like a miner.  His build was long and tall, but lanky and decidedly lacking in any apparent brawn.  Still, he was able to produce the goods.  How he'd actually obtained them was irrelevant.

"I'll take ten of those gelato-thingies, if you please."  The order packaged, an appropriate quantity of shiny metal was deposited on the makeshift counter, along with gratuitous thanks.
