The game knew when to wind them as they stopped short of the exit of the alley. The screams and cries of people were still heard. He could hear them surrounding them, but none close enough to disturb them. Amber eyes searched hers for a moment. She had a better head on her shoulders than he had anticipated now that the game style was changed. His mind wondered a moment and the thoughts changed immediately that the news hit him. The game was now sudden death in every type of aspect. Did all death apply? Suicide, monster kills, or a simple prick of the finger? Would illness take place? This game could evolve and manifest. Not to mention the other 100 things that could kill you out in the real world. When she spoke again about having him stick around, a sense of serene washed over him. With her around, he felt that he could manifest abilities that would push them through the light. When he mentioned about her partner, he had realized that he had completely forgotten the one they were going to see. His thoughts shuffled in his mind to present time now as he realized that this was the sister that probably did not like him very much. Then again, he did not pay much mind to her. He kept the thoughts to himself first. “Make sure you tell her that we will meet her at the south gate. If she is stuck, we can hunt her own. She shouldn’t be hard to spot since we are in town and in the same party.” His eyes glanced by a wandering red head samurai looking fellow who passed them. “Just tell her to be careful…” His game IQ was already kicking in. They'd been forced into the town square, so she couldn't have gone far. Looking for the girl was akin to searching for a needle in a haystack with how crowded it was. If the big red man's words rang true, not many would leave this town's safe zones today. Still skeptical, she didn't let the craze get to her head. Surely there was an explanation for this grand event. A message chimed in before Haine could hit submit. It was none other than her sister and a barrage of text, inquiring of her whereabouts. She took a deep breath and punched out a reply. "It'll be just a trek across town. We'll wait for it to clear first, I wouldn't wanna be separated again." She swiped away her HUD and tilted her head to the side. "C'mon Kil. Let's group up before the sun sets." She set off in the direction of her sister.
