Through dim hallows with little more than the yellow stink that held the air in stagnancy to join him, a tapestry in crimson sways upon his shoulders. Each step mirroring days prior as he head northward. The blade spun and took ablaze in yellow light before it distorts and shifts into a deep orange, a dying sun. The clattering of teeth and talon alert him to that which rounded the corner. What sounds like thunder in his ferocity is a blast that scatters his opponents to the walls with enough force to rattle the interior with falling debris and all. They lay dormant and winded, a spin of his steel and a twitch of his spectacles accent his calm demeanor as if this was routine and practiced. The blade engulfs again, drawn with the same ire and flame. Ripping the weapon up and holding it aloft with the point drawn toward his targets, the onslaught would continue until success.

A high pitched whine as his arts trigger at his beck and call, drawing a flowing line of energy before a detonation in a spray of red data. Upon the arachnid damage shown in serrations in the same hue. HP plummeting in response as the power trickled in. A soft exhale without a word in serenity, his aggressors amounting some effort of defense before they expired. Clambering to spinal eight legs, and lunging with a tag team pincer. Reciprocating and blasting into his weapon on one side while fangs cast a burning into his skin on the other. The poison ticks as he decks the combatant in blue to keep it from latching in too deeply. His battle healing scatters and fights against the damage dealt. What shows upon his bar as a constant increase of drain of his HP total keeping it level in green showing just how high his stats had become.

Raidou recovers 86 HP via Battle Healing

A single broad stroke creates a chain explosion, clipping down the lowly remaining HP of weakened targets to 0. In a scatter of three bursts of data with decent force that causes the robe upon his shoulders to shuffle and sway. His HUD screams with recent additions. What was a mass of prompts of acquisition rip through the provided message box, showing that his method was working and providing what he needed for the cogs to continue to churn forward. Readjusting the sword in his hand, he'd eye the one that remained and as it screeched with feigned fear. It would bring about more reinforcements, which ironically was exactly what was anticipated and wanted. More targets meant more resources. A fact he'd gladly welcome, it was a save of time and energy hunting down more of these drones. A wave of his finger in disapproval before the hand upturns and waves inward, a persuation of 'attack me' in only a gesture.

As the reinforcement slide down the hall in a myriad of aggressively stomping and breaking of the stone below, weapons of eight with teeth to boot. Raidou lunges and shatters the sound emanating from the remaining. It causes it to spiral like a bowling ball through the wave of newly joining entities and the blast sends them scattering like bowling pins. A total strike and with a sound of what could only be imaginary cheer after a cartoonish sound of the latter. The glimmering and kindled blade in his hands spins leaving a trail akin to that of a glowstick in a fan, that deep amber still burning brightly upon its edge. It casts a protective concealment over his eyes as his lenses become obscured through the color. He was in his element isolated and alone like this, the nomad that was more than use to working alone without assistance.

The kindled flame burns bright with another iconic activation as he leaps toward his downed pins, shattering that which was left over from the last grouping and punching the newcomers into the ground harshly. The beast lets out one final rebuttal in the form of a pair of sharpened legs lunging through the swordsman's shoulders in red before it expires. "Worthless, but good effort." Raidou mutters as it fades to the ether. His HP was draining but at such a slow rate he hardly needed to worry, and with this newfound speed it would hardly matter in the grand scheme. It was obvious based on calculation alone that before they could reach anywhere close to projected lethality, they'd fall and he'd be long gone. But a bit of tact and caution was brought into every conflict, with every edge he could muster he'd not underestimate his opponents for this was his lesson.

Raidou recovers 86 HP via Battle Healing

The pieces were down and right where he wanted them, and with his weapon charged he lorded over them. A sway of his tapestry in crimson as the blade slammed rather cataclysmically into the writhing mass of incapacitated targets. His stamina reduces in the impact, his energy fueling the blow in a brilliant display of power to a choir of destruction. One late addition, finds the end of his steel as it lead a pack of more inbound. The blade enters cleanly through its mouth and clips off one of its two pincers that hung to the front of a row or red eyes. Looking deeply in the targets iris as the sword is ripped clean in a spray before kicking it back, his attacks were ruthless and unrelenting with a calm expression. It was clear this was nothing more than a recipe to him to which must be finished, as the record skipped back to the same tone.

In his silence being his weapon to pay response or rhetoric to those that opposed him in its absence, actions betrayed his intentions much louder than any word spoken would. Why discuss or verbally waste the sentiment on something that could hardly understand the gravity? They would hardly be able to process what this would mean for the guild? They would hardly understand that he wished things were different. This place had done something to him, changed him in a way he could never foresee. The question that remained to have an answer was if that beckoned alteration was in fact one that was in a fair light? Who exactly was he now? He had become so detached from himself and the man he once was, that it seemed like a different life with an end that had been long forgotten. What remained was this place and its hold on those he had found kinship, and what he would pay to see them out.

A flash recall of all he held sacred his mind wandering while his body performed the exercise in muscle memory. Freyd had been made aware of his issues, what remained were allowing that same sight to those he held just as dear. What would they think of him once the veil was removed? The thought was haunting and a bit fueled by turmoil. If they hated him after discovering the form he could take, that darkness that he chose to conceal and rip from his outward appearance. That desire to tear the life out of their enemies through a rip of teeth and fury. He would understand that hatred and accept it if it meant they came to no harm here upon this floating castle. With every life and name that did not grace that monument with its presence, was one more victory he could claim before his own was placed upon its surface.

The sounds of impacts bled through his ears in muffles, as if made underwater as his mind raced through possibilities. He had found strength in this little black creature that wrapped around his chest like a pacemaker and with its durability that was hard to shake. It was as undeniable as it was sickening that something so small and easy to conceal would offer such fuel to the fire. The reigns were hard to hold on to, this dynamo of his own growth threatening to outrun him if he was not careful and cautious. Raidou knew he'd have to temper himself and cast any semblance of ego aside, lest he falls prey to the very sentiments he wished to avoid. A crown was not worth wearing, he was but a human and would act as such. His peers needed that support and that growth shared and not held aloft like a carrot on a string.

The moment would soon come that he would take direct intervention in their gains to expedite the process. All that was required was convincing that he was ready to bring them into such impending danger, removing any potential of them receiving any backlash while in his tow. To this end, Freyd had given some insight, albeit the man was much stronger than others he'd wish to do the same. It was a proof of concept of his control of the field, his fury playing the part of drawing ire while his tactics and focus doing its part to control how the board would shift. Another impact left but one single lonely troop. Dropping the hammer of Auric Sol through the remaining carcass still lingering and clinging to life, it falls silent like all those before it. A flip to the right and a return to the scabbard behind his right shoulder, an autopiloted eye to his stamina, and a rough calculation meant he needed rest.

His weapon returned and his energy low, he ushers southbound through the rolling film of yellow that threatened his HP to no prevail. Through passive healing alone it could not deal anything that would stick, an ode to how large and inflated his own level had done to his recovery. Into the grove that welcomed him with open arms in a myriad of glimmering nodes of all professions: Ores, gemstone, silks, and his own in the form of dark blue herbs. Removing his robe and laying it down flat as a tarp, the routine the same as a method to the madness this place bestowed. A parade of his fingers brushes atop tufts of liberating water which revealed a glimmer of gold, gatherer playing back that which was mature and ripe for the picking. A pluck and pull to a snap of roots let loose three that quickly find hearth within the satchel on his right thigh.

A feeling of serenity washed over him with each pluck and pull of that which would make respite or antidote, the thought of who they would benefit further inspiring him to continue. His hands continued to dance and swell looking for anything that would offer themselves to him. Here he was considered in his prime, the wanderer considered himself outmatched only here among the plants. This is where he felt he was confident enough to teach, in this simple and humbling task. Truer than waving around a sword, without bloodlust or egos. There was nothing to prove, nothing to combat or fight against and it was here that that edge could be honed. But it seemed that someone perhaps had already been through here or his imprint still lingered, for the number for which to harvest was a bit below the bar is usually held. Tapping his hands together to rise as a ring alerted to his stamina finishing its timer.

Peeling his robe up from the cushion it had been made into, it flutters as it rings his shoulder and is anchored around his neck. Reaching for Auric Sol, this respite was over and it was back to business. Fleet footed but walking, all the same, Raidou returns from whence he came. Back to where the spawns were rich in hostiles that provided material wealth. A necessity to reach the goals he had shared with at least one of his other captains, the others still left outside the grand tapestry he was painting. The bastard sword in his grasp engulfs in energy as soon as her perceptions pick up on the beasts that had replenished in his absence. Tearing the ground asunder with a sudden rip forward blindsiding creatures, who in rebuttal through reflex pay him some damage as repentance. Claws and fangs through steel, a lethal exchange to which they cannot hold stance through.

Raidou recovers 86 HP via Battle Healing

The harrowing of his health and his frame goes without notice but through a lack of caution but rather an increase in abusing that which he had an excess of to expedite the process. He was eager to see if he could mop up more quickly if a bit less careful stepping would breed a quicker return. The damage shows and burns through HP bars chunking all but one into a critical threat, leaving only one straggler still in the green. His own HP was still well into the green, although notably lower than it was usual. Still reeling from the prior swing the arachnid wiggle and have issues regaining composure, the swordsman's blade recharging and alighting with more of what he had to offer. Raidou's intentions matched his blade, eager to end this and move on to the next wave with the same held tongue and placid demeanor on his brow.

With another wide sweep as a burning blade shreds through two, scattering what composed them into the wind. Two down and laid to rest with that which they hold dear added to his pool for offering to those in need, a blade twists and bend upward as he rebukes the others that aimed for his gullet. It would not be long now before they were felled in a similar fashion. The timing could not be more pristine and optimal. As it turned out his gambit and willing to allow just a further dip in his HP to bring about a quicker completion. The sword spun in his grasp up to greet his opponents after their failure to crack the shield he had formed. "Let us finish this, I'd like to move on." Raidou muttered loosely under his breath. The arachnid bend and weave as they knelt low, aiming to spring for the bladesman and the heart within his chest.

Raidou recovers 86 HP via Battle Healing

With power and finesse, a well refined version of himself being produced with every confrontation verse this rabble. Raidou cuts through the remaining pair causing one to scatter on the wind in a flare of red while the other is crippled. Its legs shake and it falls to the rough grey stone beneath it, weakened and out of options. Spinning the Auric Sol in his grasp to a blaze of yellow that leaves an echo behind it as it turns. "This is how it was always going to end." he comments for himself more than the target, it was melancholy and plain in tone. It appeared that this one clung to life, and he'd be forced to end it while it could not act back. There was nothing to glean from this, all it was was a mercy for an attempt on his life. It would respawn and forget it all, but even still its suffering should not last too awful long.

Stepping closer and breaching the gap he had made with the last swing, his blade still offering a dim glow. Raidou's health climbs back to full as if none of this had ever transpired. "A good attempt." The nomad offers on soft whisper, another sentiment alone for he knew this would be all lost to it in a moment. Dropping the hammer of his weapon like a gavel, it pierces clean and creates a shatter of glass. A soft exhale out allows the rigors of battle to pass, his weapon finds its holster on his back. Just a small amount of time left to spend, he'd not worry too harshly about trying to squeeze in another group. No ideal would be something quicker, and a perfect option was his little alcove to which he frequents. Leaving the battlefield empty from his presence, he'd head back to that grove to which only a few faces had joined him.

Through darkened halls, his robe flows with every step, in contrast to the yellow fog around him that he had become used to. The smell lingered on his robe from his repeated travels to the floor, it was difficult to get out so simplicity beckoned him to just get used to it. Kneeling down and sliding into the crevice having spent only about half an hour from its interior, it proved that it was in fact an ideal place to harvest. It had refilled itself, keeping forever an ample place to glean more resources for his devices. Slamming an open palm into one of the awaiting nodes of unrefined metals in dark blue, it shatters and falls to a pile of rubble. Before he'd utilize his weapon, but his strength was becoming so absurd that it was starting to become an unnecessary waste of time to do so on repeat.

Kneeling low and working on the rubble he collects up a fair amount of rich hunks of stone, which should prove of use to refine and make gear out of. A flutter of a linen sack as he shakes it open, moving them into its interior and pulling a cable to tie it shut. It is then affixed to his belt on his left hip, raising to his feet as a timer on his HUD rings. Time was up, now something else on the agenda must be done. Exiting and heading down the crags southward back into Tomoika, the village was still more than empty. Common for the settlement, he moves to the board and turns in the quest and checks through the yield. It was adequate and hopefully, it would hold starvation at bay for at least one more day. A few steps later he finds the warp gate, it activates in a ring of blue and with a phrase spoken he leaves the floor. Two hours well spent that would seem like more.
