Background Information - An old NPC man, dubbed 'Zackariah', is in the Town of Beginnings. He plans on helping the new players of SAO by helping them understand the basic's of Sword Art Online.

Quest Objective
- Go fetch five(5) Tier one materials and give them to Zakariah.
(Go into the wild and gain materials though non-combat gathering and by rolling the LD, and linking it to a post. These materials are then given to the NPC.)

- Players over the level threshold may still participate and complete the quest, but will be denied SP rewards. (Other rewards will still be earned.)

-Help Zakariah in his workshop by crafting a Healing Potion.
(Roll the CD by linking it to a post.)
1-3 = Fail, try again | 4-6 = Uncommon Quality - Success | 7-9 = Rare Quality - Success | 10-12 = Perfect Quality - Success)
Zackariah will give players materials until they roll a success, but the player is helping him, so he keeps the crafted potion(s). You may roll as many times within a single post as it takes to succeed, or split the rolls into multiple posts.
Zackariah is kind hearted, and will not berate the player should they fail, merely try to talk them through to process and help them.

-Zakariah asks you to deliver a package to Lyle Tealeaf, a local Blacksmith
The Blacksmith, Lyle Tealeaf, thanks you and says he could use your help on another matter.

Requirements:

-At least one [1] Page (20 or more posts)
-Players can find Materials by rolling the LD (11+)
-Must RP traveling to his workshop and from Zackariah's place to Lyle's workshop
-Maximum Party size of 4.

Please note, the reduced gathering LD threshold only applies to the quest materials. If you find more than you needed this way, you do not get to keep them because this LD roll amount is reduced for the quest only. All other non-combat gathering needs to conform to the standard rules. You CANNOT selectively choose whether it's a quest material or not - in other words, specify the type of material you are gathering (normal or quest) in your roll purpose.

Rewards:

  1. Questers will be rewarded the following items
    - 5 Tier One Health Potions of Rare quality. (+40 HP)
    - 1 Tier One Damage Potion of Uncommon quality. (+1 Damage)
    - 1 Tier One Over-Health Potion of Special quality. (+50 HP to maximum HP for remainder of thread)

  2. 2 Additional Skill Points
    - If a party of players undertakes this quest together, each must succeed on their own task list (e.g. each must gather 5 materials on their own). Quest materials may not be shared between quest participants, as they are considered bound to the player.

"The Town of Beginnings..." Oni muttered aloud to himself, looking around the streets and alleys that had been his home for the last several years. "What a trash settlement this is," he scoffed, slumping down from the window sill where he had been observing the bustle of the main square and landing hard on the flats of his feet. "I know it's safe here, but Christ is it boring." He stuffed his hands into his pockets and scuffed his feet along the cobblestones, making his way away from the hubbub of the main hub. Pulling up his menu, he searched for his destination - a small workshop just on the edge of the settlement. It had taken him several weeks to work himself up to this point, and although he told himself it was out of boredom, part of him knew that he was unhappy with his cowardice. He had sat too long in the beginning settlement, hiding well within the walls of the safe zone, and it was becoming more and more apparent that his usual banter of tough talk had nothing to back it up.

He had not leveled up once. All of the tough players that he picked fights with would have easily laid him out. As proud as he was, he knew how stats in games worked. Skill could only go so far in an RPG.

Soon, the little workshop came into view - a cramped little abode with an annexed little workspace, complete with smokestack and windows that showed workbenches scattered with tools and alchemical equipment. Sighing, he trotted up to the door and knocked.

"Come in!" chimed the overly-friendly voice inside. Oni almost convinced himself that it wasn't worth it to have to deal with someone so insufferably inviting, but sighing heavily, he opened the door. "Greetings!" called out the shopkeep. "I am Zachariah. I take it you are here for the quest?" Oni nodded, not even opening his mouth. "Splendid. You can begin by gathering some ingredients in my garden. I will need five flowers from the red flower bed, all in full bloom. Nothing partially opened or withered."
