"Errands," NIGHT stated plainly. Between documents better written on paper than text, brokers needed the manpower to field detailed reports around. Especially after a large information update such as this; she bet it was akin to a datacenter being set alight at the moment. No doubt it felt exactly like that for Bistro.

Alternatively, and this was something that the player was expecting from her own master, she'd be out on fieldwork specifically, grabbing quests and completing them as soon as possible if only to verify rumors.

"I'll have to see what kind when I head back to my broker's store," she continued, starting to make her way out of the shop, hands in her pockets. The woman paused partway, tilting her head as she turned back to Alkor. Recollection. "But you have no obligations of the sort, do you?"

Freedom must be nice. Then again, NIGHT opted into the life to aid in working under someone else, so this turn of events was entirely her fault. Her hand rested on the door handle, trying not to force upon the shop's delicate frame too aggressively. "See you around, Alkor, shopkeep."

She wasn't really looking to get lucky. There was but an enhancement on one of her weapons she needed fixing. Everything else, then, was but an after thought.

The woman sauntered back into the store; no, ignore the stanchion, for with the word of Bistro she could've rushed her requests with the broker's known affiliates. Her entry caught the sights of a white-haired individual -- tanned skin, light cashmere clothing -- snapped out of a peace whilst raising a cup to sip tea.

NIGHT didn't bother to care. "The shopkeeper," she breathed, almost as though procuring an order from the heavy silence in the shop beforehand. A shifting of pupils from the stranger to the blonde rushing out from a side room of the store was enough for the player to summon a trade window, following her request.

"Apologies for the wait!"

Well, she wasn't kept waiting long.

"Rerolls." NIGHT was silent until she remembered to be polite. "Please."

"Be careful with the swords," the player had instructed. Upon the first attempt with the blade that glowed aflame, she raised her hand up, and the appraiser halted her movements.

No freedom with this one. How tiresome it was for Iris to be on edge all the time with her around. The other woman's eyes seemed to burn with conviction; a loose sort of wanting, pupils trailing between two points in space, back and forth. When she was ready, she raised her gaze to meet the shopkeeper's red sights. "That one's fine. Keep working on the others."

Before Iris could even breathe an affirmation to her instructions, the sword was already returned to its owner's inventory. The appraiser nearly winced at her customer's speed, but nevertheless complied with the order.

NIGHT's inventory looked like a mess, especially after the system update. And she figured a single junk-sale would've cleared out enough items to keep things organized. A second trade window, though it was set to the side of the shopkeeper's appraisal's; the player filled up her section's boxes with equipment, identified and otherwise, sorting them with a flag or two.

"Sell the consumables," she started, "then take a look at the equipment. Anything identified is yours to hold onto."

It wasn't out of goodwill, NIGHT had wanted to say. The blank look the blonde shot her way beckoned for an answer more than a justification. "Bistro," she'd lied, satisfying the appraiser's curiosity -- though, the player bet if she were to relay this to the alchemist, it would've earned her approval nonetheless.

In a darkened silver gloss it is a rather plain looking piece, but the metal is slightly toxic and can act as a driver should it connect with an opponent sword.

This blade is more of a crystalline block, void and rough and edged than a weapon to be held. It seems to rend its opponents with a nasty poison, but it is unclear how this effect comes into play. Avoid prolonged exposure.

His entry earned the confused stares of three women, he noticed, descending down the store's steps. The angry one -- brown hair in a ponytail, a cutting glare -- had her feet up on the arm of the couch, magazine splayed in her lap. Her more docile counterpart -- silver hair, tanned skin -- simply lounged around with a chocolate truffle in her hands. Daemien felt his eye twitch, upon noticing it. No doubt it tasted better than what he could possibly achieve...

He threw his gaze back to Iris -- that was the only character he was familiar with, according to Bistro's intel. "At my behest, do us all a favour. Avoid opening the bag. It doesn't look too good in there."

"Junksale."

In the quiet room, that single word pierced the thick silence. NIGHT simply stood idle, arms folded, fingers tapping on the sleeve of her track suit as she waited for the transaction to complete. Somewhere nearby, another woman lounged around, eating a chocolate covered breadstick -- did someone in Aincrad find a way to recreate Pocky?

The other player's stare was unnerving. It reminded her greatly of someone she knew, if only their hair wasn't tied up. NIGHT's eyes were shifty, checking in occasionally to see if she was being watched (she was) before going back to Iris' window, hoping to soon be freed of her engagement in the Scarlet Line.

Bistro's entry into the shop was a deviation from the regular customers. The broker knew this, of course, her gloved hand gliding down the handrail just as Masa watched her expectantly. Was that Pocky?

"I brought it for Jean," she'd replied when asked. With a blink, she repeated herself. "I brought it... to share."

The alchemist hadn't batted an eye to ask where the other woman was. Instead, Bistro raised her head after giving Masa a nod. "Iris," she called, starting to unveil a new stack of potions by the seconds that passed, "Be a dear and clean up your shop for me, would you? Just kidding."

All Bistro could see from the appraiser was her panicking, racing towards the newly constructed towers in a rushed attempt to take them down. When the fort had been built, four walls around Masa and the broker herself, the alchemist smiled back at the guild woman and leaned in to whisper in her ear.

"This is for your guild crafters. I don't suppose you have any potion makers on standby, do you...?"

"I could've told you at first glance that it would've made a profit," NIGHT commented. The artisan and alchemist duo were stationed right by iris' counter, once Bistro had the gall to scold her out of not knowing other players and their handles once again. Iris had her hands full with bundles upon bundles of burlap sacks; small, yet heavy, each one being marketed off to Cardinal, weight for col.

"But imagine the toil," her companion commented, watching the last of the sacks vanish off Iris' work station. NIGHT only closed her eyes in order to avoid meeting the appraiser's tired yet satisfied gaze, too sheepish from earlier in the day to have brought up a demeanor more confident than 'idle observer'.

"It's no different than yours." Her associate huffed, straightening her back; the front of her jacket stretched in accordance with her fingers still stuck in her suit's pockets. Bistro shared an exchange with Iris, her wince to the appraiser's worried gaze.

"Is there any reason you're here today, then?"

Iris' words were meant for the broker, who couldn't help chuckling at the question. "Same reason. You wouldn't appreciate—"

The eyes that lit up in a panic immediately at Bistro's revelation spoke enough for the troubled woman. So the broker cut her laughter. "Alright, alright. Send me a trade request. Your inventory's empty, right?"

Another troubled glare from within the shop. NIGHT nearly recoiled, feet shuffling across marble uneasily. "Then why'd you tell me to bring them out individually...?"

"Humor."

"Nobody's laughing."

Daemien stopped by hours later, just when the store was about to close — ah, but the store already was deemed to be closed, wasn't it?

Bistro was just the unfortunate intruder. And he was simply her beneficiary. So, then...

Most of the lights in the shop were already shut off. Only a small desk lamp was left on, and the shop's tanned guest, a woman, at the desk was rifling through several documents. Even with the slightest bit of concentration, he could've gleamed its descriptors despite the sigils upside down from his perspective.

But he was more concerned with the haul of his consumables today.

"Iris is done for the day, huh?"

The woman took her eyes off the papers for a moment, stoic, nodding once before her gaze shifted to Daemien's burlap sack. And the chef shrugged, lifting it off his shoulders and setting it down on one of the lush couches, not wanting to get too close to the shop handler's workspace.

"Have her sell these when you get the chance, would you? Appreciate it."

An exchange of nods, before the man left quicker than he'd entered.

The thief could get used to this. It helped to take it slow, on occasion.

"Fleur's orders," the hunter replied, alchemist captured within the corner of her vision. "If you want the details behind that information, it's going to cost you."

Sharp eyes met narrowed, Bistro's lips pulled further in a malicious smile. Though, it turned into a chuckle, the woman shaking her head. "I'd hear it from Fleur herself, then. Keep up that attitude, NIGHT."

For some reason, the woman swore she felt annoyance radiating from the other, just as she handed over her potions to the shop's keeper.

Late. Always late. Bistro had taken to accepting his lack of presence in her vicinity as something novel; that kindness she shared with the man wasn't taken for granted, the same way he kept his trap shut about details in the broker's operations. An eye for an eye.

"Jean," he spoke aloud, descending the stairs of the interior. The brown-haired woman in the dark of the eve was examining pages under candlelight, similar to her counterpart, and Daemien couldn't help but wonder if he'd gotten the two of them mixed up. Though, no objections came from the player, and so he continued with his duties. "I've a delivery for Iris."

"I'll make sure it gets to her," was the reply, alongside a trade window. He waved it off, wringing a burlap sack from over his shoulder to the couch by the side.

"Don't worry about it. Everything's in here."
