  • 500 Experience Points
  • Each player receives:
    • Nature’s Tablet

      • Not Transferrable
  • Unlocks the following quests:
    • <<Scents of the Wild>> quest line

Requirements:

  • Explore the cavern and find the tablet.
  • Decipher the tablet on the tree bark (Combined LD total of 60 from all players. Equipment and skill buffs apply, consumables do not.)

Summary:

Information brokers have found something amazing underground on Floor One. Near the edge of the floor, there is a cavern that was once known as a great farming location when the game was first started. With the recent unlock of floor twenty-five, people were amazed to find a sealed off location revealed! A rock wall had disappeared, leading into a smaller cavern. The most notable thing was a massive, closed door carved into the stone. No matter what is attempted, the door refuses to budge. Upon further inspection, you find six indents within the door in peculiar shapes.

The room also contains a giant tree, having somehow grown to tremendous size despite the barest hints of sunlight that reach down from above. At the base of the tree is a podium with a tablet. On one side, there are six markings similar to those on the door. On the other, there is a message written in another language. Luckily for you, there is a cipher etched against the tree bark. Do some research and figure the message out.

Outline:
Once the tablet is acquired, players must make a collective LD count of 60 to decipher the message on the back of the tablet. Once the tablet is readable, the words on the stone begin to change into the players' native language.

“If seeking power, wisdom and resilience, find ye those which embody nature’s graces: The fiercest of beasts with unmatched strength; a sentinel to the afterlife bound by the Stygian river; a wise and wily water-borne predator; the unmoved titan who is callous and free; a sly shadow high in the branches of the forest; and lastly, that which prowls and safeguards the sky. Only once vanquished will you harness their power to your benefit. These are the Keepers of Nature.”

Once translated, players may undertake the Scents of the Wild quests. For each quest completed, the tablet they carry with them will break into a shape of the indents in the door. These keys will be used to open the stone door and reach the ‘Power of Nature’ hidden within.

Epilogue:

Spoiler

With Mother Nature's blessing, the Player has acquired a stone tablet after transcribing the etchings. They may now undertake the "Scents of the Wild" quest line.

Things had suddenly changed, for better or for worse, Macradon was not sure. Quests, lore, the entire castle, mechanics, everything was new, it felt super jank, but everyone were probably in the same situation, it was new therefore it was jank. Sudden change was never accepted with joy, or at least very rarely. What really piqued the knight’s interest was his dip in level, his sudden heavy dip in level. For him it was a new start, a new fresh opportunity to grow, to experience, and to learn. He quickly went through his journal and thought “Wow, this is useless.” and found a place at his desk to really hide the old info that isn’t relevant anymore. He pondered for a few minutes, trying to think of what was his next go-to work to be done, and it dawned on him, he never finished the Scents of the Wild questline, maybe he should try that again.

A lot has changed, at least from what Macradon could tell at a glance. At first it wasn’t that bad, a lot had kept the same naming structure, a lot had kept the same etymology from descriptions of items, so it was a somewhat great transition despite the sudden happening. He opened up his skill HUD and began distributing skill points as before, and realized that he had quite a few despite his lower level, and a red level besides it which meant something he wasn’t sure about.

His level was much lower than before the sudden change, but luckily for him, Skill Point costs were also lowered, so he could afford quite the menagerie of skills to keep him going. Another skill he had never seen nor heard about before was some weird “Aerial Ace” skill. He wasn’t too sure what it did, but it just sat in his HUD, menacingly, waiting for him to do something about it. He shrugged and just accepted it as being present for now, perhaps he would invest in it later, but right now, it wasn’t available for him to even spec into, so there’s that.

As he looked out the window, Macradon donned his jacket and observed the light overcast digital weather outside. “This should suffice for now … I can always wear more later,” he thought to himself and ventured out. The new questline revamp seemed to start out on the first floor, which was very convenient for the first floor inhabitants, like himself.

The info-brokers hasn’t been taking any days off since the big update, which just seems to truly chisel down the hard work Hikoru (vanity tag: @Aru) has been putting into all the info-brokery he had been doing after the downfall of the Azure Brigade, and the not so successful timeliness of his other guild(s). Guild had seemed to be … somehow a weakness to some, a congregation where personalities could meet and mingle, and a huge downfall when a key person decides to vanish. It was somehow only possible to keep a guild alive if all the members were bright personalities that kept other members wanting to retain their positions, but with how few beacons of hope there were left in the frontlines, it was easy to see why guilds were crumbling left and right, there was no use trying anymore, frontlining as cooperative friends seemed to be the way, there were no bonuses to be in a guild at a raid. All you had to do was to find a group of close knitted friends, and that would be a great raid party with no real problems. A guild was just a fancy banner, no real grouping buffs, no real family bonds, it was just a fancy name for a group.
