[F15 - PP] A Meeting of Fates...

Recommended Posts

Nari stepped off the teleporter platform in what was essentially a rendition of a mountain city she had once seen in another MMORPG game. A tall structure – said to house a large bazaar, and her destination for the day, hovered over the rest of the area, standing out against the other locations in its immensity. She glanced about as she stepped off, eyeing up the numerous NPCs and assortment of players that had made their way to this same location, noticing the stark difference in them. The NPCs wore what appeared to be bold coloured woolen clothing, while the players moved around in either less eye-drawing materials, or battle garments.

Nari’s own armour had been left in her inventory, sporting only the violet dress that she wore on her days of relaxation, the glaive cradled carefully in her arm as she moved through the crowd. Atop her shoulders, curled around her neck, was the little white fox that never left her side – its eyes half closed, but very much aware of the going-ons around it.

“Maybe we’ll find you a nice little treat, for all your patience today, eh?” Nari reached up and gave a slight slide of her fingers along the fox’s snout, a playful gesture that brought forth a chirp of annoyance and happiness – conflicting emotions that Nari felt only she could understand. “Maybe if you’re really good, we can get something extra – like a full meal?”

Nari gave a slight giggle at the fox’s happy chirping, knowing damned well that she now had to either provide the proffered piece, or suffer a very upset little companion for a few days – something that she knew would eventually drag her down and make her regret missing out on the opportunity to spoil her. Happily carrying on her way, she pushed through the crowd, careful not to bump into anyone who may cause a scene for her, heading towards the bazaar’s main entrance.

Equipped Items

Dark Fox Tail [Tier 4; Polearm [One-handed Glaive]; Perfect] Standing at 150cm in length from pommel to blade tip, the glaive was crafted with a shaft of intertwining sky blue and dark violet polished wood. The blade, a mere 7cm in width and 45cm in length is a thin dark red colouring. Where the shaft connects with the blade is a metal seating, circular in design and black in colour. Twin tassels hang from the seating, intertwining sky blue and dark violet colours dancing as they move. Upon both sides of the blade, just above where it connects with the shaft, is a small curled white fox.

| Enhancement: Bleed [1 Slots] Effect: Natural critical attack rolls of 9-10 (1 slot) or natural successful attack rolls of 8-10 (2 slots) deal (12 * Tier) unmitigated bleed damage each enemy turn for 2 turns. Bleed damage does not stack, but can be refreshed. The highest tier of Bleed damage overrides lower tier versions; cannot be overridden by lower-tier versions.
| Enhancement: Accuracy [2 Slots] Effect: Gain +(1 per slot) to the BD when attacking. Cannot be used to cause a critical hit.

Dark Fox's Vengeance [Tier 4; Heavy/Plate Armour] Forged to be shapely, this piece appears thinner than most pieces of heavy armour - leaving what appear to be openings towards the neckline, and the sides of the torso. Smaller shoulders leave limited protection towards the neck, but allow for greater movement. Coloured a dark violet, the edges of the piece outlined in a dark forest colour, and upon the front's centre stands a white fox, slightly cured with fangs barred.

| Enhancement: Recovery [1 Slot] | Effect: Before your post action, make a separate CD roll. On a natural CD7+, regain (1 per slot * Tier) additional energy. This CD roll may also apply to activating the effects of Vamp-Def.

| Enhancement: Thorns [2 Slots] | Effect: Successful non-critical attacks against you deal (9 * Tier) unmitigated damage to the attacking enemy. Only activates on damage dealing, melee attacks.

Dark Fox's Retribution [Tier 4; Celtic Shield] Similar to a wall shield, this piece stands nearly 137cm tall, and nearly 76 cm wide - easily covering the form of a shorter individual. Tapered on the sides, the shield seems to bend inwards slightly on its edges, a perfect opening for an outwardly weapon to be levelled through. The top and bottom edges slightly bend inwards, giving the impression of a less than straight appearance. Coloured in a dark violet, with edges of dark forest green, a white fox, slightly cured with fangs barred is emblazoned on its centre, appearing as if ready to strike.

Violet was sitting on the rooftop of one of the buildings near the local bazaar, a lollipop in her mouth as she found herself people watching. She was keeping an eye on Ronan, who was smiling as she read fortune after fortune for the various players that lined up and paid the small fee. Violet was keeping an eye out for those that would appear to be a nice catch to take a look at. She caught sight of a girl with purple hair with a bow in her hair wandering around with a small familiar curled around her shoulders. Violet smirked, a glittering gleam in her eyes.

A few moments later, Violet jumped down, landing quietly behind the girl, the smirk becoming slightly wider. The soft whump of her hitting the ground behind Nari was more than likely to catch the other woman's attention. Akame chirped at the other girl, the feathery dragon wagging her tails madly as she stared at the other girl. "Excuse me, miss, but would you be interested in having your fortune read, dear?" she asked, an easygoing expression on her face. The girl in front of her seemed to be very interesting.

Nari glanced around, assuming the girl had been speaking to another – someone around her, perhaps. Her eyes scanned the crowd, but no other seemed to pay attention, and after a quick glance, she realized – this girl had meant to speak to her. Sighing softly to herself, Nari shook her head. ‘Fortune…really? In this…must be a money grab.’

“And how much is this going to cost me, exactly?” The words carried no tone of frustration – no tone of anger, or happiness of any kind. Instead they carried…nothing. A hollow sound rung behind them, as if the woman was…emotionless. The eyes carried a hint of curiosity to them, albeit one could not say whether it was at the telling of fortunes, or simply…the girl. “I do not normally take interest in such things. I don’t believe in destiny, especially not within a game like this. But…perhaps it’s worth hearing, if for no other reason than to see what you think of me.”

Her eyes glanced over the girl again, as if searching for something. Nari couldn’t see any signs of danger, at least nothing that immediately stood out – but that wasn’t saying much. Her left arm shifted, tilting the glaive in a less comfortable, but more easily twistable way. She would not be surprised, if things were to suddenly change – even a city wasn’t always the safest places, no matter how safe a zone it was labelled.
