✦CHILDHOOD YEARS✧
It was another day at the park, and the eight year old Mitoko had gotten into quite a sticky situation. Being ganged up on was never a good thing at all... especially if they tried to hurt you. She had always been picked on like this, but she never knew what she ever did to deserve such coldness from others. Maybe that's how it felt like to be labeled by peers... how unfortunate. "So where's my money kid?" the leader asked with eyes that scared her. "G-Go get your own!" she exclaimed before gulping as the group of bullies made the circle a little closer. "What will I do now? This is the money that mama worked hard for! But there isn't any way I can defend myself..." she'd sigh internally. "Go check her minions," the leader snapped, before they all grabbed the pinkette and pinned her to the ground, stealing her allowance and laughing at her teary eyed expression. "G-Give it back! It's m-mine... mommy worked hard for it!" she sniffled.

It was another ordinary day, and the nine year old Kaito was on his way home until he saw a group of kids surround a girl. I frowned and shook my head towards the group of kids and shouted towards them. "What do you think you're doing? Pick on someone your own size, geez." Kaito muttered as he glares at the group of "thieves". The leader of the group sent one of his friend after Kaito, but he was able to maneuver his way towards the leader. Kaito was able to kick the leader towards the group and stood in front of Mitoko. "Hey. Are you okay? I saw what they did and I'll make sure they give you back the money!" he said, as he smiled towards her. "Why are you jsut standing there? Go after him!" The leader said, but Kaito struck the group of kids instantaneously leaving all the "thieves" on the floor but the leader. "Man, you should have just left her alone." he said, as he run towards the leader. Kaito then dashes toward the leader with his fist aiming towards the leader's face. All you could hear was the impact of the kid hitting the ground. He walked over to the leader and took the money back and walked over to Mitoko. "Hey, here's your money back." Kaito said, as he flashes a smile at Mitoko. "Th-thank you for helping me... th-that was monthly allowance!" the pinkette beamed with a cheerful expression. They had never known that this encounter would grow into a long lasting friendship.

✦LATER YEARS✧
Jump ahead a couple of years, Kaito is found by himself at home. A normal day, but one strange thing. Who are Kaito's parents? He doesn't have any, but everyone thinks he still lives with them. Two years prior to the day he met Mitoko, was the day his parents met their ultimate demise. Kaito found himself in some big trouble, but always find his way to sneak around. In school, he isn't the most get along person. The only friend he had at school was.. you guess it. Mitoko. Except she had her own stuff to do as well. No one to watch out for him. Kaito would do the most extreme things and never thought about the consequence at all. One day, Kaito almost met his own demise as well. That faithful night, Kaito walked alone on the streets by himself late at night. That night was really foggy, but he didn't care. Rustling from the background and he continues to ignore it. As soon as Kaito turned a corner, -JAB- a knife enters his stomach. He falls down starting to bleed out, but fortunately Mitoko was able to show up on time and call for emergency. All he could hear during the time he was in the ER were the cries of Mitoko, but once he woke up from his coma.. She was gone. A couple of months after that, Kaito lost contact with Mitoko and has disappeared off the face of the earth. For a month, Kaito was considered missing and Mitoko started to worry. He suddenly popped back up, but no one knows what he had done all those months. Kaito would never tell Mitoko all the wrong he has done, but he makes it up by protecting her from anyone who dares hurt her.

After sometimes had passed, Mitoko and Kaito went grocery shopping and she made him hold the groceries for her. After helping them back into her home, he went back to the loneliest place.. Home. He slowly walks around his house and just takes in all that is left at home. Nothing. Kaito escaped his reality and found himself lying on his bed with his Nerve Gear on. "Link.. Start!" were the last words he spoke in the real world. "Good-bye, Insane world." were the last thoughts he had in the real world.

â€Appearanceâ€
Kaito is usually seen in a black coat with a scarf wrapped around his neck. He has brown hair with a light blond streak on the left side and red eyes. For his time with the First Floor, he wore the standard gear. Since he acted as the King of his school back in the real world, he wore a dark black coat, a scarf, a white t-shirt, black pants, and a chain. Kaito is five foot nine inches and is taller than most people around the age of sixteen to seventeen. He has a soft and friendly tone in his voice, but with a blunt attitude everyone is confused on why he is like that. Even Mitoko doesn't have a clue to why he is always so blunt towards everyone. Kaito also has a friendly face, but isn't quite friendly with anyone. There are some things that even Mitoko doesn't know. He isn't a secretive looking type of character, but no matter what he'll never show an act of kindness to those who hurt Mitoko or oppose him.

â€Personalityâ€
Kaito is known for his bravery, courage, and optimism. His bravery is driven by Mitoko, who has been nice to him ever since that "incident". He will protect her from anything from the dark to the scariest thing known to the world. His courage is what boosts his bravery a hundred times better. He's not afraid of anything, but one thing. Losing Mitoko. She's everything to him and he won't let anyone take her away. "Not for a million dollars, not for ten dollars, or even a dollar." - Patrick Star. Kaito's optimism keeps Mitoko feelings positive all the time and that's what drives him to wake up every morning and going to bed with a smile on his face. He'll do all he can to change a negative environment to a good one and he will never choose a "storm" when there can be a "rainbow".

â€VIRTUESâ€
✯ Bravery - Kaito does the craziest things you can ever imagine. He'd take on a monster floors above him even. In the world of Sword Art Online, bravery is a very scarce virtue. Many people are still trying to cope with their new reality, but its merely too hard to cope with. This was the same for the young adventurer as well, but he was able to cope rather quickly indeed. But for the emerald eyed boy, he was able to do the riskiest tasks with ease. He understood that if he dies, he dies. Mitoko is what drives him to stay brave and he'll always be that knight in shining armor. His bravery will always have him on his feet and alert, but mainly focused.

✯ Courage - Kaito has the ability and willingness to confront fear, pain, danger, uncertainty. and intimidation. He has both physical and moral courage. Physical courage is courage in the face of physical pain, hardship, death, or threat of death, while moral courage is the ability to act rightly in the face of popular opposition, shame, scandal, or discouragement. His courage will always get him out of tight situations no matter how difficult the situation might be. He will face any danger no matter what it is, as long as he is able to protect Mitoko. He'll do all he can to save her, even if his life is on the line.

✯ Optimistic - No matter what may happen, Kaito holds a very positive and cheerful attitude, which can get him through the toughest of times. After all, "After every storm... there will always be a rainbow.. so when things seem bad, there's nothing to worry about! For one day everything will be alright. He is the type that does not panic when he is worried, instead he shrugs it off and wears a smile. He will keep on telling himself to just smile. And now that became a habit, and he is RARELY ever negative. The only time he was ever negative is when he hurt Mitoko and he'll never forgive himself for that, but he's doing all he can to repay for his wrongdoings.

☢ Overprotective - While Kaito doesn't become attached to people easily, he will risk himself to save someone who is in clear need of help. Even if it puts himself in danger. He doesn't want to see anyone die if he could save them. He'll always find himself getting hurt, but make sure it'll save someone. He is afraid of death, but will take it on with full force if he's able to protect the people close to him. Mitoko always tell him to not worry so much, but he'll always worry about her no matter what she says or does.

☢ Claustrophobia - Kaito has the fear of having no escape, and being closed in to a small space. It is typically classified as an anxiety disorder and often results in a rather severe panic attack. It is also confused sometimes with Cleithrophobia. The cause of this was when he was trapped in the elevator and had no escape. All he could think of was the walls closing in, and he couldn't think the of any ideas of getting out. All that was running through his mind was never seeing Mitoko again, but he was saved by the local fight-fighters who came before Kaito would even pass out.

☢ Indecisive - Kaito can never choose between any options, whether it be to go eat or go sleep. He's never able to decide on anything and always had to rely on Mitoko to decide for him. There are times that he does decide, but they're usual bad decisions which leads to terrible or tragic events. On that tragic day, he'll never decide on anything ever and will always allow Mitoko to decide for him. Why let someone decide for him, especially Mitoko? Sometimes you do some wrongdoings and have to pay back what you did.

☢ Blunt - Kaito will be blunt towards other and will not show any type of kindness. People's emotion will never affect him and will not let his emotions get in the way. He's likely to become a player-killer to show other players that if they ever mess with or Mitoko, they'll never leave the game alive. In real life, he doesn't have any friends at all. Kaito always beats the living hell out of anyone who would piss him off, but in the inside he just doesn't want to be disturbed. Mitoko always critize him to change, but if he changes he won't be able to protect Mitoko.
