[SP-F1] Seasoning Search

Recommended Posts

YinYang blinked a couple of times as he had just arrived in the town of Beginners while feeling a bit disoriented. A sigh escaped from Yin's lips as his hand had risen up to be placed over the right eye. Almost thinking that he could take off the headset if he was to move, but only find out that he couldn't grab onto anything other than his own face. Confusion appears on the young man's face before he accidentally opens up his menu when he lowered his hand. It actually surprised YinYang and he spent the next ten minutes figuring out where everything was at in his menu while seeing what he had too. YinYang quickly realized that this character he is playing as isn't exactly combat oriented as the only skill he has is the Search & Detect. However he noticed that he has a short sword in his inventory, and seeing of how he would still need something to defend himself with YinYang equips the blade to his side.

Once he has got his stuff together, YinYang takes a small stroll around the town that he is in. What's the harm of checking this town out? Well one thing he noticed is that there isn't that many players in the Town of Beginnings as majority of the time YinYang is confronted by NPCs. Mostly on wanting him to buy something or to check something out. Of course YinYang had always avoided those kind of people considering that he doesn't even have a single dime under his name either. Or excuse him, Col that is the currency of this world. It certainly made him wonder of how to start this game considering that it is so open that Yin wouldn't doubt that he could even climb over stuff. Though he most likely would get yelled at by the NPCs, so he refrained from testing that theory.

It wasn't until perhaps an hour of YinYang walking around the Town of Beginnings before he finally saw a notification pop up in his view. Confused at first, Yin swipes open his menu and goes to the help menu to see what the icon was about. For it was just an exclamation mark and he didn't want to waste time trying to find it. The help menu of course just told him what the icon meant. So Yin would go back from the help menu into the Quest section. There he sees the sub menu of the Completed, Active, and Available selection with the exclamation mark next to the Available selection. With a single poke of his index finger Yin presses the Available button and it opens up to quite a few quests. Some of them aren't recommended to him considering that he's a low level too, but after a minute of searching the young man finds an easy quest. All he needs to do is to find some Jasmine herbs out in the field. It was a simple thing to take and it was easy for a beginner too. Additionally it was also a great motive for YinYang to travel outside and get used to his surroundings.

So with a quick two pokes on that quest Yin puts it into following mode. Meaning that his map would lead him into the place that he's trying to go. After dismissing the menu, YinYang would begin to make his way over to the area where the quest was supposed to be at. This involved weaving through the mild crowds of NPCs and even some players that seem to be stopping by from a hunt in the fields. However Yin simply ignored them and continued on his way over to his first quest.
