[PP-F3] Discount Minos Labyrinth (Search For The Hoya) <COMPLETE>

Recommended Posts

The Forest Of Wavering Mist. Probably an even unbearable place compared to the forests in Floor 1. At least you can see. With the mist being present in such a remote location, it doesn't really help in navigating through these woods. A perfect place for monsters to ambush unsuspecting players. Kioshi wonders if Night Vision might positively affect this environment's visibility.

The fog isn't actually that thick, in fact one might still see what is a few meters ahead of him. Only the trees and other flora are recognizable among the fog. Anything else is a mystery unless it gets closer. Either way, nothing can be trusted there.

Kioshi is just standing at the entrance, fully donned in his Kelly armor. Though the visor is still a bit wide enough for him to see well, it would still be troubling with the limited visibility of the woods. It would be like walking blindly with a tin can stuck around his head. But to him, a helmet is still a crucial part of armor in every battle scenario, so he doesnt remove it.

Enna was walking around trying not to get any attention from people as he walked around on floor three. It was not that Enna choice to be here, more like he was having fun exploring and all and got to floor three. As Enna then enters a forest that was filled with a fog, the fog messed up his long purple hair and Enna was not in the mood for it now so he went on until he spotted someone. Enna moved closer to see who it was maybe it was a player or maybe an NPC, He got out his Dagger just in case, Once close Enna saw that the person standing there was a man in full armor and was a green player. "Jeez, Lucky me then," Enna said with a low voice and looked around for one last time before walking up on behind the man.

He got his act together and was again the Enna that tricked people into believing that he was a girl. "Hey, Big guy!," Enna yelled at his as his voices sounded that just as one from a girl. He Skipped up to the man and looked the man up and down, He then puts his hand behind his back as one hand was holding his dagger just in case. "What you doing?" Enna Asked too the man now standing in front of him.

A voice calls out to him. A feminine one, though Kioshi thinks there is something off about it. As he is faced with the question regarding his current business, he turns his head around to see a player skipping and observing him up and down. Just by looking at the absence of a pair of cups is enough for him to deduce two possibilities: either the player is a female or the opposite with a trap appearance.

Kioshi slowly shrugs the pauldrons of his shoulders. What does it matter? It is nothing but a minor matter that isn't worth debating. Aside from that, he remembers that he never even asked for any companionship. Whatever partners he had in previous quests, he mostly happen to cross paths with them. One of them were actually willing to help him in Floor 4, and he just let her do whatever she wanted. At least he had help.

In response to that question the player asks, he doesn't utter a word, having nothing particular to say. All he does is to briefly stare at them through the visor of his helmet, then he moves on. Simple as that.

There is a paper sign on a nearby tree, scribbled in what seems to be chicken scratch writing. It reads: "LABYRINTH THIS WAY NORTH." He follows.

Enna looks as the man looks at him and then moves on with what he was doing, "Hey! Don't leave me here," he said after the guy as he follows him. Enna did not really want to be left in this forest and his only option was to go with this person, maybe he got something interesting out of it as well. "Big Guy, please just hold up of a second, I want to know what you... " he stops saying a thing standing still for a sign, as he reads the sign he knew what the man was doing and where he was going now. Enna then takes a sprint to keep up with the man, once he gets close he stops right in front of the man "Up to fight a Mino? Mind if I tag along then?" he asks getting he dagger out from his back, the dagger was small but it had a nasty curve on the end of the blade, with green handle and a green feather logo imprinted in the blade itself. "I can fight so no worry, I just tag along if that is alright with you." he then says and looks into the man's helmet in the hopes to get at least a bit of eye contact.

His eyes gazes at the player's face who is hopelessly trying to have a look the face behind this helmet. Second person to directly offer him assistance. He gives them a single nod while he keeps walking on like a robot. An armed robot with fleshy legs.

His walking pace slows down as the fog seemingly becomes thicker, yet he keeps his path straight since he passed what probably was the only sign in this forsaken forest. He looks ahead as hard he can, trying to distinguish the slightest visible figure among this mess.

Weird. There doesn't seem to be any trees ahead, as if there is a clearing. Kioshi walks a bit faster until his foot stops just at the edge of said clearing.

There, ahead of him is a pyramid temple. Full of moss. The inside of the temple is a bit too dark to see from the outside. Whatever that is inside the temple must be full of valuable and historical artifacts hidden among the entire labyrinth. But Kioshi isn't in a mood to go treasure hunting now. All he wants is to kill the Minotaurs and receive the quest item all to himself.

As the man nodded in agreement of letting him help Enna lets out a small smile, the man was not much of a talker so Enna did not really have something to talk about. Enna followed the man behind as the fog got thicker but that did not stop Enna a bit as he kept up following the man behind. Not shortly after that the two came at a clearing and they could see the temple, Enna got his dagger ready as he heard about this quest and that a Minotaurus was guarding the entrance. His eyes then spot a shadow at the entrance of the temple, "Hey Big guy, Over there I think I spotted your Mino," Enna said as he points to the shadow at the entrance. for sure the shadow standing there was from the Mino and it would be very easy to get his attention. "Hold here for a sec," Enna said as he sneaked away from the man. He was looking around in the fog if there were any other monsters around just to make clear they would not be attacked from behind. As it seems only the Mino was there and Enna made his way back, "So no other monsters around, we can focus on the Mino over there," he said once again pointing to the shadow standing at the entrance.

Slender and tall-built, a Minos is standing guard at the entrance of the labyrinth, snorting while its eyes are scanning the horizon for intruders. Its legs are hoofed and long like that of a kangaroo's, its arms and hands human and muscular. It sports two large horns, both showing signs of wear from their frequent usage as weapons against previous victims that were either stuck in the labyrinth or foolish enough to try to challenge itself or its comrade: another Minos.

It catches its sights towards a tin man and an androgynous human, the former already noticing its presence and drew his large two handed sword. Feeling threatened by this, the Minos quickly retreats as Kioshi calmly walks into the entrance, letting out a series of growls and roars.

He stops just near the mouth of the temple, hearing more growls before these sounds fade away, accompanied by running feet disappearing deep into this building. Looks like they intend to lure him in.

He notices a moss dangling loosely on the ceiling, and gently pulls it, noticing its great length crawling along the ceiling. In fact, the diameter seems a bit thicker than other mosses present. The color being bright green too, and it only takes great attention to use this certain moss as Theseus's thread, which can be tricky as Kioshi has to pay attention to watch out for the two Minos at the same time.

He turns his head to look at his partner, seeing if they are ready to confront the labyrinth with him. Or let him face it on his own, which he is fine by that too.

Enna got out is Dagger as they follow the man behind, seems like the Minotaurs had a plan or were just scared either way they should be careful if it did jump out again and started to attack them. Enna lets out a bit of a laugh as the Mino does run away, either way, the Mino was not sticking around to die by the hands of the players. "Well, I'm ready to go, so you can take the lead," Enna says as they are moving behind him as they flip their dagger in the air. anything that would happen beyond this entrance was a dangerous path to follow, But Enna liked Danger and they would always seek more of it. Part of them wanted to go but also a part of them did not want to go as they stood by the man's side, Enna looked at the man "Sir, if I may ask, What is your name before we go in here, If you like you can call me Enna," They said before going with the man.

"...Kioshi.." he mutters, and that is all he can answer as he keeps walking deeper into the depths of the underworld, his sword drawn moments ago, preparing for the imminent battles. His footsteps are silent at best as he is walking in either his toes or his soles to remain quiet. The clanging of the Kelly armor doesnt help much though, even if he is moving slowly.

He comes across a T junction. Simply put, it branches to left and right. Kioshi tries to hear any odd sounds, his head remaining still like a statue.

A single growl at the left. He takes it, looking behind him to ensure the absence of danger before moving on. The silence, for some reason, feels like some form of safety to Kioshi's psychological mind. If the silence ever breaks, the Minos are definitely close. And he is potentially f**ked.

...Kioshi stops as he hears a loud roar, then the scraping of rusty metal against the concrete walls, coming closer...and closer...

At least the man gave Enna a name, as the man called himself Kioshi as it was barely hearable. Whatever was his deal this guy did not really speak and was focused on the thing ahead. The path inside the structure was still looking as always as every dungeon in this game, but this time a big boss monster was walking around the place, Enna even heard that there were supposed to be two of them one on each side of the entrance. A loud roar came and Enna was a bit shocked at they did a bit of a jump but fast got into a combat stance and their dagger ready. "Where ever this thing is I will Stab it," Enna said with a small grin on their face. As they flip their dagger again and looked at Kioshi, "I'm ready if you are too," Enna said and walked after Kioshi.

Then out of nowhere one of the minotaurs rushes in, letting out a loud, demonic 'moo' as its the stomps of its large hooves practically shakes this passage of the temple. Kioshi immediately throws an overhead swing a little too early to the bull-man, which manages to jump away from the strike and draws out a large one handed, fragile and bloody axe. The weapon has seen better days. A fight commences as both Kioshi and the minotaur exchanges harsh blows against each other's weapons, neither of them show any sign of progress in this battle sequence.

After possibly a few minutes of weapons clanging, grunting and roaring, Kioshi picks up the pace by repetitively swings overhead again, this time without any signs of stopping as the minotaur is forced to back up while blocking his strikes with the handle of its axe. The clanging sounds resonate throughout this passage, no doubt the other minotaur would hear this and go to the battle site. Unless it has other plans to dispose both players here.

Enna Follows behind but then out of nowhere the Minotaur and attacked Kioshi, Enna jumped back as got their blade ready to attack as well. The man and the minotaurs were busy fighting and Enna did not see any change to butt in and help. Both the man and the minotaurs were looking for an equal match for each other, while Kioshi swung around with his two-handed Straight Sword the Mino did the same with his ax. Enna had no chance of getting in between them, It was not the best choice to have come with the man, But as Enna always was thinking better to seek danger than danger getting to seek you. Enna stood back as they waited with their dagger in their hand and once there was a change Enna would attack as well and get the small deadly cuts in with his dagger.

With a sadistic expression on his face within his helmet, Kioshi's sword suddenly glows green in color, illuminating this part of the passage. His body spins at an unnatural speed like a fan set to the highest speed, quickly advancing to the minotaur that wasn't expecting such an attack. Before it can even attempt to block it with its axe, it feels its stomach being cut open several times, roaring in pain as intestines spill out of the exposed cavity. Kioshi stops spinning and end the attack with an overhead strike, cutting off one of its arms.

He steps back quickly as the Minotaur drops its axe and scrapes the stone floor with its hooves, snorting aggressively like a bull ready to charge to a red velvet. The minotaur lets out a roar as it charges forward, its horns pointing directly towards its target. Kioshi hurriedly lifts up his sword as a response, preparing to strike at the moment it is close to the finish line.

Enna looks for a good opening to help as well, as they look close to the moves of the Mino as he charges at Kioshi and hits him. Thinking about it the Minotaurs was very distracted with Kioshi so it was a good time for Enna to jump in as well. Enna gets their dagger and moves quite quick to the Minotaurs as it is standing face to face with Kioshi, But somehow the Mino turns to Enna and moves out of the way of their dagger, as it gives Enna a bit of a push with the other arm. Enna falls to the ground and the minotaurs look at them and stare them into the eyes before turning his attention to Kioshi. Enna let out a deep breath and is all out of Energy as they sit on the ground against the wall. "Darn It, Am I really that weak," They say as Enna sits against the wall with anger and pain at the same time. He completely lost all of their energy and was unable to help Kioshi any more.

Feeling somewhat pitiful to Enna's failed attempt to attack the minotaur, he takes another risk to attack it in such a narrow passage. Not too narrow of course, but its space are still limited enough for him to not be able to take full swings against the target. Kioshi goes berserk as he rains down more strikes towards the minotaur without stopping, the latter now jumps away backwards, landing on a certain part of the passage with the walls now spread a few meters away from the path.

Seeing this convenience, Kioshi immediately sprints while preparing to unleash his Sword Art, then in an instant, he becomes the deadly cyclone again, speedily moving forward and slashing its legs off. The minotaur bellows in pain, dropping its axe by reflex. Kioshi stops spinning with his back facing it, quickly utilizing a full swing towards the minotaur's neck, decapitating it. The head flies off its stump of a neck before both itself and the body explodes into polygons.

One down, one more to go.

Enna got up from the ground only to see that it was already over, They scratched their head for a second and thought about what would be next on the quest Kioshi was doing, So Beat Mino, Check, Get special Item ... not Check after that get out of here and you get XP, They thought  and looked at Kioshi as Enna walks up to him. "congratulations Kioshi, You now have to get the item within the middle and get out, after that you will get all the XP as well. So according to my Info, the other Minotaurs should NOT Come here and you will not have to fight him," Enna said opening a small notebook they got out. Yes, Enna was kind of an Info breaker so They would carry something like that, This was their way of getting information and They already knew about this quest and area but was not sure, So this was their way of knowing for sure. "Trust me Kioshi I think, well I hope my Info is right so we would not meet the other Minotaurs even if we get to the middle, Think you don't even get something extra out of it if you kill it," Enna said looking into the notebook again.

Obtained the Hoya!

"...one more must die..." Kioshi mutters as he still feels like this place is nothing but a hellhole unless that one last minotaur is dead. Gripping his sword tightly, he starts taking only one step forward when a window suddenly pops up at his face, announcing that he has obtained the Hoya Amulet. He looks down to see the thing shining on the floor, and picks it up without hesitation.

The Hoya. Very valuable according to players both old and new. The reason? It is the equivalent to a wedding ring. A gift of friendship. A sign of great trust. Overall, it is a symbolic chain linking friends and lovers together into strong bonds.

The appearance varies to the holder. It could be a minotaur's head. It could be a falcon. It could be a simple circle. In Kioshi's case, it is a round transparent sphere with a gold ring in its middle. Glass in texture. In the sphere itself sits three triangles united into one big, single triangle. This symbol represents the Hojo clan in feudal Japan. At least to Kioshi's eyes.

He develops a second thought about engaging the final minotaur. Maybe that isn't worth it, since it looks like he has reached the finish line of this quest. As he still holds his sword in one hand and the Hoya in the other, he gazes blankly at the triangles like a robot, realizing that this is nothing more than a mere jewel to him. After all, it has already lost its purpose to him from the start. He has no one to give or propose his love too. Not even one person. The only person to gift to is himself, and himself only.

Enna looks at Kioshi and sees that he got the quest item, The Item was always random as pickup and could be something like a jewel to a gold head of some animal. Enna also knew that this item as a gift item, like, you were supposed to give it to someone special to you. Seeing how Kioshi was, He would not have met many people to help him as he was not much of a talker. Enna gave the man a warm smile and walked around to see if there was anything of interest around like items, but there were only a few stones that fell from the roof or the wall. "Kioshi, It's Up to you, Planning to give that thing to someone, It kind of useless if you kept it, but maybe you find someone who you want to give it to," Enna said going to the hallway from where they came from. They looked back at the fight scene and smiles a bit and then skips over to Kioshi, "If we get out of here I'm going to give you something, It is very useful for other things you need to know, But only If we BOTH get out of here," Enna says and starts to walk off again

Kioshi listens to Ennakai and their offer to give him something useful once both him and them are out of this temple. Looking away from the Hoya and glancing forward, he feels the urge to leave right away, seeing that the other minotaur isn't worth fighting since he is way stronger than itself. Basically he wouldn't obtain any worthy loot at all from the monster.

Holding on to the Hoya tightly, Kioshi turns around and walks past them, giving them a small, split second nudge on their shoulders to let them know that he is leaving now. Using the large green moss at the ceiling, he manages to trace it all the way to the exit, where the sun is still shining in the sky.

Outside, he dons the Hoya around his neck. It is now his personal necklace. Itself as a gift is useless to Kioshi. He begins to get attracted to this marvelous jewellery.

They look around has Enna gets a tap on their shoulder, and knows what Kioshi was meaning with this. Enna followed Kioshi out of the of the labyrinth, It was easy as they followed Kioshi and slowly they see the light of the sun again. "That was nice, You got your Item, What is the main event of coming here, Plus you got to fight a Mino," Enna said pointing at the jewel around his neck. It was a bit weird that he kept it but maybe one day he would give it to someone. Enna does a small spin on their feet and then does a small bow to Kioshi. "As I promised,  I will give you something," Enna opens his menu and sends Kioshi a contact invite, "That is a contact invite, It allows you to contact me at all time, I will be giving you Infomation as I am an Info breaker. I will have to do something If you do want special information, but most of the time you could just ask any time, and I even can pay you for new Info." Enna said as they stand there.
