Once Michael had finished with the thugs, he turned his attention back to the man and his captive. The woman managed to cry out, "Run! Please run!" before the man slapped his hand across her mouth and beat her aside the head once more. She didn't make a sound as she faced the abuse. While the mysterious man had his attention faced towards the girl, Michael drew out his own gun from a trench coat pocket. "Let her go," he said coldly as he aimed the weapon at the man. The mysterious man only laughed as the young Violet began to squirm, her eyes growing wide as she stared behind Michael, the man she loved. Dream Violet turned to where her younger counterpart was looking, and she froze in fear as she saw a masked man with a gun pointed towards the back of Michael's head. "Watch out!" she heard young Violet yell as the sound of a gunshot echoed in her head. Before she could see the bloody scene that happened next, she woke up in a cold sweat with Dahlia licking the tears from her cheeks. Her black leopard companion must have sensed that something was wrong and woken her up. Violet took a few moments to calm down, slowing her breathing and trying to clear her mind. "It's going to be okay, it's going to be okay..." she mumbled to herself until her heart rate had settled back to a normal rate. Once she had recovered, she looked over and smiled at Dahlia, "Thank you, girl. Seems we're growing that close already." She wrapped her arms around the leopard and buried her face in the thick black coat of her companion. Link to post Share on other sites

She raised her eyes and looked up at her display. A new achievement popped up in front of her. "Congratulations! Training Your Friend quest has been completed. Dahlia the leopard has now learned the Familiar Mastery: Accuracy skill. You shall now gain +1 ACC when fighting with your companion." Violet jumped up, her body fully healed, and exclaimed with excitement, "We did it Dahlia! Yes!" Dahlia roared happily and nuzzled Violet's leg happily. Violet laughed and pet her black cat companion. Then she heard the cat's stomach rumble. "Haha, let's head back to town. I'll buy us both nice juicy steaks to celebrate today." Dahlia purred excitedly and followed after the young woman as they both trekked through the jungle, heading back towards the main town on the third floor. Today had been a good day for the pair.
