  1. "Gyah! No, no, not again." She exclaimed and jumped a bit as the smell from before returned. Quickly, she strained the material from the water to try and salvage it for another time. "No, no, no, please, please, please. Come on, save it...." She spoke as though she could coax the Mats from the water with her words.

    Salvage:

    1-6 - Failed

    7-12 - Success

    Edit:

The salvage attempt failed, leaving Tokusie with nothing. She sighed and tossed out the stinky stuff before closing up for the night. It just wasn't her day.

    -1 Mats

    +1 Exp

  2. Tokusie cleaned out her set and tried again with a new bit of materials and warm liquid this time. She crushed the herbs with her pestle and whistled a tune. When it was nothing but a green powder, she poured it into the warm water. She stirred it a bit and waited for the chemicals to settle before checking to see what she had made.

  3. Tokusie placed her hands on her hips as she looked over the materials and equipment before her. She had done well in the testing of her skills to become an Alchemist, but now it was time to do it for real. For her own use and for sale. It made her nervous. She always had trouble killing things, her luck wasn't very good. Maybe, here, she was going to rule. Maybe this was where she was meant to be in the game. Supporting the lines with sublime potions. Her eyes sparkled as she thought about the money she could make and the cool potions out there. The woman shook her head to break the procrastination daze she found herself in. "Alright, to work, to work." She took some material and put it in her mortar and started grinding it with her pestle. She poured it into chilled water and looked to see what she got.

  4. The shop, if one could call it that, was more of a stall in between two buildings. It was an alleyway, really, but that was all Tokusie could afford for the time being. It was an investment. She was a starting alchemist and ready to provide items for players.

OOC: Like a few others, my quest thread hasn't been completed. I'm waiting for it to be approved though I sent it to a GM. So... let me know if I step out of bounds by starting.

  5. "Right." She kept her eyes on the boar as L went after it. She danced to the side again as the tusks got a little too close for comfort. Her weapon wasn't as good as his in reach, but she had to help kill the darn thing. She was the one who asked for help to begin with, after all.

    Edit:

She took a step back and readied her sword. With a deep breath, she charged. Something awesome happened... her blade glowed as it arched in the air towards the porker. It hit with great force and knocked the beast off its feet.

    L.: 4/5

    Tokusie: 5/5

    Boar: 0/5

    Loot roll: 11

  6. Tokusie stepped back up for her turn. These low level monsters were quite a pain... well, at least they weren't that painful. They were annoying. Who knew such a creature would have a high dodge rate. The woman flicked her wrist to make her blade whistle through the air before readying in a pose. Her feet push hard against the ground as she charges at the boar.

Edit: Tokusie yelped in surprise as her blade made contact, taring at the boar's rough hide. She staggered back and looked at her sword with a smile. That was how it was done. She could do this.

    L.: 4/5

    Tokusie: 5/5

    Boar: 1/5

  7. Tokusie rolled her shoulders and exhaled. She couldn't mess this up any more. It was time to learn, time to take things seriously. As the boar hit the impromptu party mate, she winced. Having not been hit yet, she wasn't sure if it actually hurt. For the time being, she pressed that thought aside and went at the boar again, holding her blade tighter.

Edit: "Arg!" She grunted at the boar as it danced out of the way of her blade. This was getting to be far more annoying than she thought it would be. "Do they ever just let you hit them?" She asked as she danced away from the beast.

    L.: 4/5

    Tokusie: 5/5

    Boar: 2/5

  8. "Call me Tokusie." She hissed out between her teeth as she maneuvered forward carefully. She planted her feet and sliced through the air. Her grip was still not very formal. It was more like a hand holding onto a frying pan than anything else. But this frying pan sure did sail towards its target.

Edit: Her attack missed again and the boar lept to the side. The woman glared at the beast in annoyance.

  9. Tokusie rolled her shoulders and smiled, looking for her next task. Now she was an alchemist and she knew it would help others on their journey. The woman looked over her recipe book again with only a few small items in it and smiled. It would grow in time. With experience and luck, she would make marvelous things.

    Loot: 11 Mats for Alchemy

    Col:15+400=415

    Profession as an Alchemist

  10. Tokusie shouted in glee. Her first try and she got just what she needed. The woman couldn't help but bounce around happily before taking the item back to the old man. She produced it to the NPC, who took it with a smile. "Well, now you know how to brew and many more potion recipes are out there for you to try. Good luck and enjoy your time as an alchemist." He turned back to his customers and Tokusie exited the building with her reward for the quest.

  11. Tokusie heated the water in the kettle and activated her menu. Selecting the book from her inventory added the information to her crafting window. The woman selected the Basic Potion recipe and it told her what ingredient to use. She picked up one of her mats and placed it in the pot of water as it boiled. The water turned color and solidified. Tokusie picked up a vial and scooped the contents to see what she had made. She selected the item to identify it.

    Basic Potion

    +2 HP recovered.

  12. The next morning, Tokusie slept in. Yesterday had been more than she had done in quite some time. She woke nearly at noon and strolled her way to the shop. Happily, she plopped the requested items before the alchemist. The NPC passed her a book and instructed her to practice making a basic potion of healing. He turned back to the customers and let Tokusie have the run of the alchemy tables behind him.

  13. It felt like a long way back to the city. That likely was because she had to hide three times from PKers looking for weak players like her to gank. How anyone could willingly kill others in a setting that actually killed the people was beyond her. Maybe they, deep down, didn't think people really died from this game. When she finally made it back to town and to the shop, it had closed for the night. With a groan of annoyance, she continued her way to the tavern to get a room.

  14. The cutlass swipes at the boar again, Tokusie starting to feel the mental strain of attacking so many so quickly.

    <>

Tokusie lands her hit and the boar dies with a squeal. The woman sighs in relief and looks at the loot.

    <>

    Loot: 4 materials

"Wonderful. I have more than enough. Now back to the old man."

  15. Tokusie didn't wait for the boar to get back on its feet. She was ready to get back to town. There was always the threat of PKers seeking out noobs like her out here. She swung her blade at the boar again.

    <>

She missed barely and rolled away from the boar's attack.

    <>

  16. Tokusie paused under a tree by the road where no mobs roamed to rest. She didn't need to rest long before her HP returned, but she decided to enjoy the weather of the afternoon. A breeze rustled the leaves in the trees and it made her smile. After a few minutes, the woman was ready to go again. She stood and walked along the field until she spotted a lone animal. Without hesitation, she rushed it.

    <>

Her hit landed, critical. The boar fell to its knees for a moment.

    <>

  17. Tokusie spun away as the boar attacked her, with great flourish. She posed and let the boar rush her. With the cutlass ready, she rushed back. The blade swung at the porker's flesh.

    <>

The hit landed and the boar fell over dead. Tokusie wiped her brow and checked the loot.

    <>

    Loot: 25 Col

Tokusie smiled, her first bit of money. It wasn't mats but she wouldn't turn it down.

  18. Tokusie quickly slashed back at the boar after pushing it away from the attack it made. She had to finish this, the boar was getting close to making another hit. She didn't have the best max health and she didn't want to get under 5.

    <>

Her hit landed and Tokusie smiled again.

    <>

  19. Feeling frustrated now, she plants her feet next to the boar. The curved blade shown in the light as she readied it for another attack. She put her heart in it and swung.

    <>

She missed as bad as one could it seemed and managed barely to block the boar's attack.

    <>

  20. Feeling bolder, she starts to smile. She hadn't smiled since the Admin had told them all of their fate. Things were looking up. The cutlass bit out at the boar again.

    <>

The attack missed and Tokusie was unprepared for the boar's tusk as it slashed at her arm.

    <>

  21. Tokusie added the items to her bag and smiled. "Wonderful. Only two more to go. I thought this was going to be more difficult." She selected another boar out on its own. This one was a higher level. Tokusie slashed with her cutlass.

    <>

The blade glows and hits with great power, knocking the boar back a few feet.
