  1. As Kal walked out of the Town of Beginnings, his spirits were obviously high. He'd heard word from an NPC about a little-known area of the floor that housed, if rumors were to be believed, undead versions of all the players who had died thus far... Scaled to the floor, of course. Sword on his back, he made his way through the fields to where the area supposedly lay.

  2. Hey, all. So, I used to float around on here a LOT, but due to life being life, haven't been doing that in awhile. Like, maybe a year or two. So, that being said, I'm trying to get back into it. If anyone wants to rp, give me a holler. Though, pardon me for being so rusty. I'll probably be asking a ton of questions lol.

Alright, I'll see you in Aincrad,

    Kal

  3. Launching forwards, Kal would try and deliver a savage slice to the corpse's neck. However, the body would pause just a second, so that the blade faintly whistled in front of its neck, leaving the corpse untouched.

  4. Sword flashing in the faded sunlight area around the tomb, Kal would lunge forward towards the zombie. However, as he lunges, the zombie somehow slips out of the way, lining its self up for a shot against Kal.

  5. As Kal finishes off the last of a trio of boars, he turns and notices the small group assembled near him. Sheathing his sword, he'd begin walking towards them. Raising a hand in greeting, he'd yell out to the group. "How's everyone doin' today? Alright?" As he'd get closer, he'd stop and look them all over for a second. "Pleased to meet all of ya'."

  6. Charging forward, determined to finish this, Kal misses horribly again, his sword again becoming jammed in a tree. As he fights with it, the zombie delivers a slight blow across his back, mitigated by the armor. Rattled by this, Kal once again settles into the defensive.

  7. However, Kals shot once again goes wide, burying the sword in a nearby tree for a moment. In the time it takes to wrench the sword free, the zombie has already caught up to Kal, and is itsself poised to strike.

  8. As Kal lays there, the zombie once again lunges for him, swinging its arms in wide arcs. The mottled, undead hand would again slam into his armor, but wouldn't make contact with skin, or do any true damage. As Kal hops to his feet, he lines himself up for another shot.

  9. As Kal lines himself up for the next shot on the zombie, his foot catches on an outstretched root. Tumbling backward, he would not only fall, but slightly nick himself with his own sword. He is suddenly halted by an exposed rock become acquainted with the back of his skull, and he would lay there, dazed for a moment, before returning to his feet.

  10. Slightly aggravated by this trespasser on its grounds, the zombie would again stumble towards Kal. As it nears him, it would lunge forward, teeth bared, arms outstretched. However, Kal would merely lean to the side to avoid the blow, and again set himself up for another shot at the beast.

  11. Kal, slightly shaken by his failure to dodge the last blow, would line himself up for a shot at the offending undead. However, as he swings, a loud moan from a nearby zombie would distract him for the split second it took his target to shamble out of the way.

  12. Following the re-death of its companion, the remaining zombie would continue exactly as it had been: Stumbling towards Kal. It swung its rotting arm at him, but the blow would merely glance off his armor without touching him. Kal would then lean back, lining himself up for a shot at the abomination.

  13. Kal would slowly make his way nearer to the tomb. As he neared it, however, a pair of corpses stumbled towards him, arms extended. He would slow his pace to a crawl, allowing the undead horrors a moment to catch up, before swiftly drawing his sword. Running his finger along the flat of the blade, a deep green glow would appear as he lunged towards the front-most corpse. The edge of his blade caught the corpse on the bridge of its nose, severing the top of its skull from the rest of it in one clean stroke. As the corpse fell, it dissolved into crystalline shards.

  14. In a daze for most of his walk, Kal was suddenly ripped back to the current moment by a putrid stench. Looking around, it took him a moment to realize what and where he was. "No wonder this place is called 'The Broken Home'..." As he looked, he took in the site of several walking corpses, each and every one of them with some sort of deformity. A broken rib poking out of a chest here, a head turned 180 degrees there... The place was a nightmare.

  15. As Kal made his way out of the central city of floor 2, he would make his way, completely self-assured. His destination, aswell as his mind, were clear. He had heard several rumors of yet another crypt, similar to the one he fought in on the first floor, but assuredly more dangerous. As he walked, he found himself staring up at the sky once again. "Kayaba... You could have made this world a paradise for all. Instead, you made it hell... Why?" The world around him, oblivious to his worries, would continue on its way.

  16. Speed-walking into the store, Kal would take a moment to look around. "Huh, Zak, got some new pieces here. Any of it mi-" His mid-sentence cut off would indicate his noticing the black and green sword behind the countertop. "Is that... is it really?" Given the quick nod from Zak, Kal would move forward, picking up the sword lightly. "This... this right here is gorgeous." He'd initiate a trade with Zak, trading over 5 of his materials for the long-awaited sword. "Thank you, my friend." He'd quickly walk out of the store, new sword equipped over his back.

  17. Kal would sigh for a moment as a small boar would charge towards them. "Aw, someone's late to the party..." He'd lean back slightly, drawing his sword half out of it's sheath. As the beast would near him, he'd side step, allowing it to pass. As it'd go, he'd draw his sword fully, and continue the motion in a wide arc, slicing neatly through the boar's midsection. As it'd crumble into crystalline shards, he'd quickly dismiss the reward pop-up. "Congratulations! Gained 1 x Boar Tusk!" "Well then. Howsabout we head back to the city, hmm? I've got a sword waiting for me that I've been dying to get my hands on!"

  18. Zak would once again find a small blinking icon on his HUD. Upon tapping the small mail icon, he would see another message from Kalthios.

    Name: Wayward Defender

Type of Item: Light Metal Armor

Desired Effect: I'm just asking for +1 BD, and/or some sort of +HP. Anything beyond that is your call.

Additional Notes: Same color scheme as the sword. Black base, green around the edges, you get the idea.
