  1. "I may hide a few things about myself, but that doesn't trivialize ANYTHING that I am saying to you.  You have people who care about you both here and out in the real world.  Getting over emotional and reckless is exactly how you get killed in here.  The same goes for trying to push everyone away and being all alone.  I may not have a right to tell you, your right.  I wouldn't be the man I am though if I didn't try to get it through that beautiful but stubborn head of yours."

As said his piece they reached the door to the old NPC couple's smithy.  The journey had come to an end and they were ready to reap the rewards.  Asagi wasn't sure he wanted to let her go on that note though.  He walked up to the NPCs with his materials.

"Here you go, we gathered the materials you required.  Now we just need you to smith them and let us be on with it."

Putting down the hides Asagi turned back to Mari and watched as she did the same.  It was decided in his head, he had to at least let her know this wasn't the end for them, he didn't want to lose one of the few connections he had in here.  Especially one who meant a good deal to him.

"Look, as stubborn as you may be I also admire it about you.  I won't just forget you and move on if you think thats what I plan on doing.  If you ever need me you censored better message me alright?  We may be done here but I hope we can still see eachother, as friends.  It would be a sad journey through this virtual hell if we were to never cross paths again.  So please, take care of yourself Mari."

  2. Mari said a few scornful words towards him as he attempted to apologize again.  It was obvious that nothing he did at this point would be help the situation.  Asagi had done all he could, and now Mari had to come to terms with things in her own mind.  Despite her words though she did start to show a more candid demeanor, explaining why the embrace made her uncomfortable.  The world was full of people with quirks and the like, it would seem that this was just another one of those encounters.  He would simply have to remember in the future that it was not something all that smiled upon.  It had to be done though, it definitely had changed the mood, and had made it feel as though a weight was lifted.  Even Mari was walking at his side, not happy but by no means in the state she had been before.

"Well instigated or not we will always have the knowledge that it happened.  Now it goes without saying, especially after this that unless you truly want to know more about it, or anything pertaining to that night, we just won't directly speak of it again.  It is simple as that, and the problem can be mitigated, we both must deal with the ramifications."

Asagi looked at her with serious tone, her words usually didn't get to him, but in this instance it seemed like they cut like glass rather than a playful scrape.  He had one last thing to say on the matter before they could drop it forever.

"Mari, your words are as cold as ever.  Pushing away everyone who would protect you, help you, give you companionship.  I understand it, in fact I dare say I understand a great deal more about that feeling than a lot of others.  That is why I didn't turn away from you just because you speak with an acidic tongue.  Your going to have to make exceptions to normal situation rules one of these days.  When that decision comes I hope you have the strength to make the right choice."

Pausing for a short bit they simply continued walking out of the cave and back onto the beaten path back to town.

"Now that the more pressing business was ousted in conversation it is time to get both of our materials back to that couple.  You may want to try and fix a few things yourself on the way.  I don't believe you realize how distraught your attire and form are at this moment."

  3. They both were not in the mindset to fight on much longer, too much had transpired.  It was obvious in the weak strikes they had been dealing out.  Mari was right, it was time to end this and move along, try to salvage the day by coming out with at least something to show for it.  Raising his sword his urgency to finish off the skeleton drove his blade.

    Rolled a 5 + 1 Acc on the d10 (battle) dice.

Asagi's slash seemed a bit off but it seemed that the fates had decided to end it as well, the sword landed with just enough force to crumble the boney enemy.  Seeing the item drop he hoped that this would be the end of it.

"I believe that is what we came for Mari.  The other material is right by the skeleton I felled over there."

A silence between them lingered for a moment and Asagi decided to walk up to the suffering woman.  He had to do something even if it upset her, and so believing it was for the best he wrapped his arms around her hugging her close.

"I am truly sorry I hurt you, I did not do it intentionally by any means.  Right now Im just glad that alive and well and even if it takes a long time I hope that you can forgive me."

Letting her go Asagi started to walk away, Mari had her materials and so did he.  They simply had to trek back to the smithy and get their reward.  No doubt the two of them looked a lot worse for wear but the damage that had to heal most wasn't that of a physical nature.

  4. The last mob danced around the strikes, but somehow this was feeling less frantic, less heated between the two of them.  Mari was calming down, though she was still immensely mad at him for the situation they had found themselves in.  Asagi decided before they continued any meaningful conversation he should remove this eyesore of a creature.  Raising his blade up he swung down upon it's boney body.

Rolled a 4 on the d10 (battle) dice.

Rolled a 1 on the d10 (mob) dice

Yet again the strike glanced off of it's frame, not direct enough to break the mob but merely annoy it.  Kicking it back as a counter Asagi sent the skeleton stumbling back a little causing it's wild swing to miss again.  Though they seemed to be having bad luck finishing their foe at least it was not much of a threat to them at the moment.

"Mari, of course I know everyone must take each-others words with a grain of salt.  I knew from the start I had to take yours in that way so you don't have to say it.  Don't take me wrong though, it is because you were always so abrasive with your words, but deep down I knew where they came from.  Your not the person your words portray you as, but unlike others the person inside is a much more caring person than you want to let on.  That is why I always found you intriguing, and why when others were not so quick to get close to you at first I was not so off-put by your demeanor."

He wanted to make things right between them, Mari was one of the people he would be upset about losing in this world.  In a world of death and betrayal someone such as her was very important to Asagi, he hoped one day she would forgive him.

  5. It was getting a little late in the day but Lotharian was not daunted, he was resolute in his wish to fulfill the customer's order.  With this in mind he once again removed a material from the stock and began work upon it.  As he smoothed the leather out on the tanning wrack he hoped to grab and hold the feeling he had attained upon crafting that first perfect item he had crafted for his first customer.  The creation started to take form and he wasn't all too sure what he was looking at.

Rolled a 6 on the d12 (craft) dice.

The time was taxing on him apparently as he was not quite in tip top shape for this one.  The item was an utter failure and as he grabbed it up he quickly threw it into the refuse been, at the very least he might be able to salvage some material from it later.  Putting down his tools Lotharian decided it might be a good time to rest for the moment and get back to this endeavor when he was refreshed.

  6. Encouraged by the not so unfavorable outcome of the last attempt Lotharian quickly took out another material hoping to keep the momentum going.  He was determined to produce another good item for his customer base.  It was important to make his name known.  As he finalized the last stitching on the materials they began to glow.

Rolled a 10 on the d12 (craft) dice.

Indeed the momentum had remained but not in the upward sense.  He seemed to have created another uncommon item, though this time it was not even a pair of boots as he had been going for.  It was odd albeit not a completely unwanted display of his improving skills as a tailor.

  7. Item : Striker Boots

  8. Resting for a moment Lotharian began to work upon his new project once more, the man had provided enough materials for quite a few attempts and they weren't going to go to waste.  Sweat ran down his forehead as he worked upon the boots the man had ordered.

Rolled a 10 on the d12 (craft) dice.

The item took form, though Lotharian could already tell they were not what he had intended.  They were boots alright but the way it looked was off from what he was attempting to do.  As he inspected it he found they were of uncommon quality and something a bit different.

  9. As the other two dealt severe blows to the queen Asagi watched Mari ruthlessly rip the wing off of the now helpless creature.  The mob was done for but now dead quite yet.  Mari proclaimed that the kill was all his to take as she stood upon the broken body of the giant  monster.

"Well it seems that this quest is wrapping up very nicely darling.  Now lets get this done with."

Raising his sword above the queen he slashed down upon her head to end it's suffering.

Rolled a 4 on the d10 (battle) dice.

Rolled a 3 on the d10 (mob) dice.

As the blade came down the giant pincer mouth of the queen whipped around at Asagi.  Jumping back to avoid the death throes of the boss mob he also lost the opportunity to strike at her correctly.

"That was close, guess the censored isn't as helpless in this state as we thought, sorry guys.  Watch out for those jaws of death when getting near her."

  10. Mari pushed him to the side, upset that he had put himself in harms way to protect her.  At least this showed that she still cared, if nothing else her actions spoke louder than her words.  As she stabbed one of the skeletons in the skull it stumbled back from the surprisingly vicious and damaging strike.  That was more like the Mari he knew, getting back to his feet Asagi saw the skeleton he had been fighting closing in.  Getting into a stance he let loose his strike upon the enemy mob.

Rolled a 7 on the d10 (battle) dice.

Rolled a 5 on the d10 (mob) dice.

The skeleton crumpled into pieces upon the ground before him, now there was merely one left.  Turning to join in the struggle against the last creature he looked at the still distressed Mari.  He wanted things to be alright again, she shouldn't be suffering so much.

"Mari what we did was an intoxicated, dumb decision.  In here though what chances do we really have to truly live though?  No matter what I can't bring myself to regret it, mostly because it was with you.  Even if you don't believe me I can tell you right now that in this virtual world there are only two people who matter to me.  Two who's well being I will fight ferociously to protect, and one of them is you.  That necklace was the first drop I got off of anything in this world.  A creature that brought me so close to death Im still not sure how I am alive to be here today.  I gave that to you, and even though whatever we are to eachother is complicated, I know that I wouldn't want to lose you as a friend.  Not when all we have inside Aincrad is the people we form bonds with."

He hoped that his words would find there way to her this time.  Even if she didn't forget about it he hoped that with time maybe she could forgive.

  11. As he watched the others charge in missing their marks his memories brought him back to the previous encounter.  The queen could be troublesome with her reinforced body, in the end though he knew where to strike next.  Smirking he concentrated on the spot underneath her right appendage, near the bundle of muscles and nerves there would be a good place to deal damage.

"Mari what's wrong?  I thought you were gonna show me up in this fight?"

Chuckling he charge in launching himself into the air while spinning himself around to increase the blades momentum.

Rolled a 9 on the d10 (battle) dice.

    Rolled a 6 - 1 Eva on the d10 (mob) dice.

The blade dug into the queen like a small saw blade slashing as he spun.  The mob whirled around to strike him but Asagi raised his legs and made himself into a ball as he flipped forward.  In that position he made himself as small a target as possible and he felt the swipe from the creature breeze over his back.  Stretching back out to land he hit the ground on the other side of the queen unscathed.  If his comrades could make their strikes equally as efficient they should be able to down her in no time.

  12. As Mari and Asagi exchanged the usual banter the sounds of the Wasp Queen came roaring through the open field.  He knew the sound of those massive wings well from the last encounter he had with her.  The enormous mob was just as imposing as before.  The wings beat heavily as they hovered the unbelievable beast above the grasslands.  This time he wasn't as weak though, this time he would show it what he was made of and do his part to bring down the monstrosity.  As he charged in his blade shined brightly powering up to send the mob reeling.

Rolled a 8 on the d10 (battle) dice.

    Rolled a 6 - 1 Eva on the d10 (mob) dice.

The blade sunk deep into the toughened flesh of the queen and stuck in the gaping wound.  As she thrashed around one of her sickle like appendages swung towards Asagi.  Smashing his foot against the queen's thorax he yanked the sword out and flipped back barely avoiding the mob's strike.  Hitting the ground he stared up at the gash in the side of the big old beastie.  A good few slashes like that and she would fall from that skyward kingdom of hers.

"No time to slack guys, lets bring the censored down!"

The thrill of an elite mob kill was exhilarating, as the adrenaline pumped he was ready for a real fight to unfold.  Speaking almost hushed to the queen herself Asagi simply made statement.

"Don't go and bore us now your highness."

  13. Shortly after finishing his first major work another customer made his way into the shop.  As the man stepped up he was very straight forward in what he wanted, Lotharian was filled with confidence after his last success.

"Well of course sir, I will get right on your boots, it will only take a little bit hopefully."

Picking up the mats Lotharian made his way into the back to start upon his new project.  As he prepared the materials he tried to repeat the process he had used to produce his masterpiece cloak.  He was hoping that he could recreate that feeling and make his name known for his ability to craft only the best.

Rolled a 5 on the d12 (craft) dice.

    "Hmmmmm"

Lotharian had again succeeded in making something, it just wasn't that good of something, a simply aesthetic item.  He decided that this would just be thrown into the scrap pile to reprocess later.

    Obtained salvageable item

  14. As Asagi faced down the skeleton before him Mari seemed to simply steam with anger.  Hearing her get struck by the other enemy he knew there was no time to dawdle.  She snapped at him, obviously still very upset, and frustrated with the situation they were in.  It was not time for her to break down, no matter how angry she was with him he wasn't going to just leave her alone to be hurt.

"Mari now is not the time, pull yourself together!  Where is the strong, beautiful, amazing woman I know who would simply show me up at any possible turn.  Instead when Im trying to protect you your laying there and acting as a child when they didn't get their way.  I can't say Im sorry forever, so whether or not you believe me is a moot point.  What is important to me is that you make it out of this situation safe, yell at me all you like after."

It may have been harsh but he needed to snap her out of her funk.  This was no game and as much as he probably deserved the verbal abuse she was in turn taking it out on herself in ways.  Slashing at the enemy before him he hoped the next good strike would make short work of the cracked and brittle boney abomination.

Rolled a 2 on the d10 (battle) dice.

Rolled a 5 on the d10 (mob) dice.

The skeleton dodged out of the way as it seemed Asagi wasn't completely focused during the encounter either.  Quickly strafing to the side he then barely avoided the mobs attempt at hitting him.  Frustrated that he let his emotion get to him he saw as the warrior Mari was facing started in on her again.  Ignoring the one he had been fighting for a moment he ran to protect the woman he had led to such a state.  Standing in between them he would not allow for this undead beast to lay a finger on her.

Rolled a 3 on the d10 (mob) dice.

As it now had a new enemy standing before it the skeleton took a surprised swing at Asagi.  Whirling around the side of it's blade Asagi deftly avoided the strike, as soon as he had the chance he knocked away the skeletal hand with his wrist-guards.  Even if he had to stand before both enemies at once he wouldn't allow them to get closer to Mari.

  15. One more time he told himself, taking each stitch, each movement he was taking into consideration.  He had to do this or else both himself and his shop could lose the respect of the players right off the bat.  As the materials glowed upon the bench Lotharian noticed the light grow much brighter then before and almost a crackling of power could be seen as it took shape.

Rolled a 12 on the d12 (craft) dice.

Item : Cloak of the Forgotten

    Quality : Perfect

Enhancements : +2 Damage Mitigation and +1 Evasion

Description : A woven silk cloak reinforced with pieces of hide refined to be as hard as steel.  It shimmers as it flows upon the back of it's wearer, embroidered with golden stitching along the edges.

    "I DID IT!"

Lotharian wasn't even thinking about the customer out front as he shouted in triumph.  He had created not only a brilliant cloak but a masterpiece of tailoring.  As he gazed upon the cloak he felt pride in his work.  Bringing it out to the front counter Lotharian lay it down upon the display's glass and presented it to it's new owner.

"Sorry for the wait sir, but here is just the cloak you wanted.  I present you with the perfect quality Cloak of the Forgotten.  It is safe to say that with this upon your shoulders mobs and other players alike will be wary of you."

    [Dice ID # 1559]

  16. With the failures that came from previous attempts Lotharian hoped he could pull this off and give the customer what he wanted for an item.  His reputation as an up and coming tailor was on the line with this one.  As he took some of the materials he had in storage Lotharian began again trying to make what he set out to.

Rolled a 5 on the d12 (craft) dice.

As the object formed a cloak that didn't look all too fancy appeared.  It looked stylish as the black velvet flowed.  As he inspected it Lotharian realized it yet again failed to be anything more than a pretty object.  Hitting his hand against the workbench he was beginning to get frustrated.

    Item : Traveler's Cloak

    Quality : Good

Description : A black velvet cloak with a silver clasp in the front.  Stylish for anyone wanting to wander the lands with some class.

  17. Now taking out one of his own materials Lotharian yet again prepared for an attempt.  He was going to salvage this mess no matter what, it was utterly ridiculous how bad his luck had been.  It wouldn't stop him though, no way he was stopping until he made something worthwhile!

Rolled a 5 on the d12 (craft) dice.

As another fine mess appeared before him Lotharian held in his anger and just sighed.  He would have to walk away for a moment and recollect his thoughts, maybe then he could figure out how he was going to make anything of this.  Was he not destined to be a tailor?  Or was he just getting the raw end of luck's favor today.

  18. Scratching at his head Lotharian tried to figure out exactly where he was getting this wrong.  As he inspected the equipment he tightened every screw and sharpened every blade just in case.  Readying for another attempt he hoped that luck would finally be on his side.

Rolled a 4 on the d12 (craft) dice

Utter failure again!  He was truly frustrated and he messed with his hair in anger at the situation.

  19. Taking another piece of material and stretching it out on the tanning rack.  Taking what he had learned from the previous attempt Lotharian took some time cautiously going through every part of the process.  As the final touches were being done to the new product he crossed his fingers mentally.  He hoped that he could do something magnificent for both the sake of his customer and the future of his business.

Rolled a 5 on the d12 (craft) dice.

Before him lay a mess of a product, though he supposed that something was better than nothing.  Looking at the bad quality item again he thought to himself that may that wasn't indeed the fact.  This was embarrassing.  Putting it to the side for future salvage Lotharian brought out the next material, if he failed at this last piece from the client he would just use some of his own materials, he was resolute in making this work no matter what.

  20. "Don't think that should be a problem at all, lets see what I can do for you."

Lotharian took a look at the materials set out before him by the customer.  Picking them up he brought them back over to the workbench in the back.  Cracking his fingers and getting himself ready for process he hoped it would work out well.  So far he hadn't had as much luck as he had hope but this time it wasn't his materials on the line.  This was his first real customer, he was determined to create a masterpiece to thank him for the chance.  Carefully preparing the material pieces he began his work.

Rolled a 4 on the d12 (craft) dice.

    "Damn"

The process had failed, Lotharian put a frustrated hand up to his face passing his eyes over the tools before him.  Where had he gone wrong in the process?  Analyzing the possibilities he was hoping he could figure out the trick that veteran tailors used.

  21. Alyssa spoke of caution, and that he could understand.  In this world though, what other choice did they have but to push themselves?  What other choice was there but to continue on and attempt to win, to beat this nightmare and escape back to reality.

"Alyssa, I will grow stronger, I will push myself.  Don't worry though, I don't plan on making decisions stupid enough to get myself killed, I think you know me better than that.  That said, I will join you on the front lines and together I hope we can get out of here.  I won't stop until we have achieved that, and when Im stronger I want to be the one protecting you this time ok?"

He looked at her with a caring half-smile.  Fighting with her made him feel stronger, more focused on his goals.  Concentrating again to the task at hand he looked over to see some more interesting foes set out before them.  These wasps looked as though their bodies were hardened and more sleek.  Looking at the label above their heads it indicated them as "Wasp Queen's Guards."

"I believe we have gotten to the point of upsetting them, look over there.  I believe once we defeat those two we may have our boss fight to deal with."

Moving his sword to his side in a cross-slash stance Asagi charged upon the first of the guards.  Going for the largest section of the body with his swing he wanted to make sure his strike hit strong against the beast's thorax.

    Rolled a 5 + 1 Acc. on the d10 (battle) dice.

Rolled a 1 on the d10 (mob) dice.

His sword glided into the enemy slicing into the guards tough exo-skeleton.  As the crunch of it giving way to the force of the blow became audible the mob attempted to lash out as it nearly fell to the ground trying to regain it's balance in the air.  It buzzed as the large wasp wings frantically buzzed at Asagi angrily.

  22. Running deeper into the cave Asagi was worried he hadn't found Mari yet.  It was then that he heard the sounds of combat.  She was fighting all alone in this dark area of the mines, he wasn't going to let her be hurt anymore he decided.  Readying his new equipment he sprinted towards the sounds of the struggle.  As he approached a small area with an open chest he could tell that she had been through this place.  Another sound rang out through the cave, this time very close, at the other end of the room he saw an archway and rushed over.  Inside was Mari battling against two of the skeletons by herself.  She looked like hell had happened since she walked away from him.  Without a second though he jumped into the fight and attacked mercilessly the skeleton to her right.

Rolled a 9 on the d10 (battle) dice.

Rolled a 1 on the d10 (mob) dice.

The sound of bone cracking at the impact of the strong blade resonated throughout the room.  With the force of the blow the skeleton could hardly even maneuver let alone hit Asagi as it swung wildly.  Mari wouldn't be doing this by herself and so Asagi stood right between her and the skeleton he had attacked, he could do at least that to aid her.

"Mari, please I didn't think that it would end up like this.  You are a magnificent woman and I meant no harm, I honestly believed in the state we were in that we both wanted the same thing.  Inhibitions gone I just gave in to your advances as you did mine and...........and I wish it could have been as fond a memory for you as it was for me.  Being with you was truly a dream in this censored up world we are stuck in.  Even if you can't forgive me Im not about to let anything happen to you, this virtual purgatory would be so very much darker without you in it."

  23. As he stood before the last wasp guard with his comrades Asagi was ready to fight, he wished for the thrill of combat and he wanted to prove he could pull his own weight in a fight.  Claim walked up to his side and gave a strange look not saying much.  The man truly was the silent, mysterious type, that much become abundantly clear.  A hand touched Asagi's shoulder a he saw that he recovered a sliver of health.  This was a skill that he had not anticipated or even knew about really.  Perhaps he should look into it in the future for now he was just thankful to Claim for thinking of his teammates.

"Thank you Claim, every bit helps and it shows the caliber of a man when he thinks of his teammates well-being."

As this transpired Mari seemed to be getting inpatient and she charge in on the wasp.  Taking a wild somewhat frustrated swing at it she missed, her judgement was off target.  Asagi didn't know what had riled her up so but he knew that he wouldn't just stand by.  With the show of force that his comrades had shown already he thought maybe it was time to unveil what he was capable of now.  Dropping his wakazashi to the ground he began to simply stroll up towards the new enemy with a new confidence.

"Mari, I was hoping you might be the first one to see this.  Now lets get to this queen of yours."

Quickly opening up his inventory he equipped his newly obtained weapon he had been lucky enough to have crafted.  His trip to the 9th floor to find the mysterious weapon shop had not been in vain.  The long curved chinese dao materialized in his hand.  Shining steel with a silk wrapped grip brilliantly fashioned in his opinion.  At the bottom of the hilt hung a green flair of silk, the whole sword felt comfortable in his hand, it felt ready to cut down his enemies.  Ready to see what his new weapon could do Asagi let the power flow through him as he bent his knees ready to pounce at the mob that was currently more interested in Mari.  He launched the air bringing the sword up in a diagonal slash ready to cleave through this pest.

Rolled a 10 on the d10 (battle) dice.

    (Dealt 7 Damage!)

The blade sliced deep into the creature and the new sword ripped a deep and open wound straight into the mobs thorax.  It's health bar dropped abruptly at a fantastically surprising rate.  His new sword would indeed be the pride of his arsenal.  As his feet touched the ground he whirled around to face his foe.  Smiling he glanced over to Mari.

"Now thats more like it.  So do you like my big sword Mari?"

  24. As Lotharian had been taking his time tidying up the back rooms of the store he heard the sounds of moving around from the front.  A knock at the door resounded through the shop and the voice of his first real customer.  Happy about this new opportunity Lotharian strolled out to the front.  The first time he would be able to attempt work for another player was a bit of an exciting idea.  Getting behind his counter Lotharian placed his hands on the display and looked over to face his new client.

"Hey there, yes Im open for business.  In fact so newly open you happen to have the distinct honor of being my first customer.  So how can I help you my friend,  Name an item out of cloth or leather and I can make it here in my shop."
