  1. "We need to get a job," Hunter said as they walked through the town. "A job means money. Money means better equipment. Better equipment means better chance at beating the game, which means we can get out sooner." Everyone more or less agreed, so Hunter continued.

"I say either blacksmith or merchant. A merchant would probably make more money, and as a blacksmith we'd be able to make our own equipment."

"Well," said Cade. "I was thinking something more along the lines of a performer..." Hunter stopped dead in his tracks.

"A performer?!" He exclaimed. "How the hell would being a performer help us?!" Several people looked at them, so they continued walking.

"Hey, man," Ryan said. "It would be more fun!" Hunter scowled.

    "This isn't a game..."

"Well..." started Ryan, before Hunter interrupted.

    "Shut. Your. Mouth."

Cade sighed. "Look, Hunter, we need some way to make this not such a terrible time. I mean, we're going to be stuck here awhile, so why not just try to enjoy it?" Ryan agreed. Hunter scowled again, but gave in.

"Fine," he said, to which the others cheered.

"But," he said once they had finished. "How are we going to even become a performer?" The others went completely silent, as none of them knew the answer. Given no answer, Hunter kept walking, with everyone on the lookout for some way to attain this profession.

  4. Cade nodded in agreement to everyone, but looked at MacGrath with a certain kind of look which I can't really explain right now for some reason.

"We have something just like that," he said. Donald cleared his throat.

"Alright, now what? Oy, 'old on. Just real quick, what levels are yous?"

  5. Cade stood up, smiling.

"Let's do it," he said. The others all mentally agreed that this was the best course of action, except Hunter, who said no thoughts about it.

Cade looked at each of the other players, this time his face completely serious.

"I need your word," he told them. "That none of you will do anything to hurt anyone else, unless it is absolutely necessary to defend yourself or someone else. I'm not fighting for myself- I'm fighting for everyone else. Everyone who can't fight for themselves. I need you to promise you won't let yourselves be corrupted." He drew his sword and put a foot on his chair, striking a dramatic pose.

"We aren't fighting to get ourselves out, we're fighting to get everyone out. Are you with me?"

  6. Hunter sighed.

"Alright," he said. "We'll do what it takes. I am NOT spending my life in some game." Cade thought for a moment.

"Hmmm...well, we don't actually know much about how to play, really...we just dove in without any thought."

"When we were supposed to be doing schoolwork," Hunter added. Then, Donald spoke.

"Oy," he said. "So...what 'appens to our bodies while we're in 'ere?"

  7. I seem to have a slight problem.

Supposedly, there should be a toolbar to edit my posts, such as text color, size, and other such options. However, I seem to lack these options, and I have searched high and low for them. Any help available for my dilemma?

  8. Cassius rolled his eyes.

"Oh, yeah, it sure took a lot of work to accomplish," he said sarcastically. "But, we did it!"

Cade frowned, then spoke to the other players.

"Sorry," he said. "That's Cassius...don't mind him. But, to answer your question, we don't know the exact reason we all came to exist. We think it was our brain finding a way to deal with life." He looked at Arekkusu. "Hey."

    Hunter scowled.

"Enough chatting," he said to the other players. "If we need to beat the game to get out, then let's just do it already."

  9. Cade sighed. "Whatever, we kinda suck at hiding it... I'm Cade."

    "Oy, me name's Donald."

    "Hunter."

    "Duuuude, I'm Ryan."

"I am CalligraphyJack." He did a small bow in his seat. "A pleasure to meet you both."

"I am Joseph," he said in a Russian accent.

    He smirked. "Name's Cassius."

    "Umm...I...I'm C-Casey..."

"So," Cade said once all of them had been introduced. "That's us. Who are you two?"

  10. After finishing the drink, Donald stood up.

"Alright," he said. "Let's find ourselves some pals!" Hunter scowled again.

"I thought the plan was to sit tight until-" Ryan interrupted him.

"Nah, man. That's waaaaaaaaaay too boring." He grinned.

"We can't just do nothing," said Cade. "Besides, there are likely to be others who need help." Hunter was silent for a moment, then spoke again.

"...Cade, I swear...sometimes your good nature gets us into so much trouble. It'd better not get us into trouble THIS time." Cade smiled.

    "Yaay!~" exclaimed Casey.

  11. Hunter growled as they slammed down another mug, attracting a few glances in their direction.

"You idiots," he said, causing more to look their way. "How the hell can you drink at a time like this?"

    Ryan grinned. "...because depression?"

"IT'S NOT EVEN REAL!" Hunter shouted in response, silencing the entire tavern as everyone looked at them.

"Hunter..." Cade said. "People are looking. We don't want anyone knowing about us, remember?" Hunter only scowled, but said no more.

"Alright," said Cade in a much quieter voice than what Hunter was using. "What we need is some help." However, Hunter shook his head.

"No...no, we don't. What we need is to sit still until everything fixes itself. And we ESPECIALLY need to keep to ourselves. Like you said, we don't want anyone to know about us." Donald sighed, and took another swig.

"An' I t'ought life was complicated before..."

Cassius= A bit narcissistic and arrogant, and very much a jerk. Also very sarcastic.

Joseph= A natural leader and very willfully strong. Craves power, but wouldn't betray his comrades for it.

Donald= A tad prideful of himself, but MUCH more so for his homeland, Ireland. Likes to have fun, and talks a bit too much. Fights hard.

CalligraphyJack= Polite and respectful, and not very strong. However, he is quite intelligent, and skilled in the art of written word.

The Mad Jack= As his name implies, he is quite insane. He is psychotic, and desires a world inside of his own mind. He is quite dangerous when fully active, but is extremely rarely so.

    COMPASSIONATE/REBELLIOUS (Cade)

Cade can't stand injustice, and will stand up and/or help everyone he can.

Casey doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He has a younger mentality than the others, and doesn't like to speak much.

    STRONGWILLED (Joseph)

Joseph is always there whenever the system requires a bit of strength. He disregards pain and focuses on whatever needs to be accomplished.

    LOGICAL (Hunter)

Hunter always thinks logically, and does whatever he thinks will benefit the system.

    FRIENDLY (Donald)

Donald likes to talk a lot, so it's no wonder he does so with others outside of the system.

Cassius enjoys fighting, and will do anything to win.

    DEPRESSED (Casey)

    POWER HUNGRY (Joseph)

Joseph desires power and control, but wouldn't hurt his friends to acquire it.

Hunter doesn't care much about people outside of the system, because he spends every waking moment trying to keep it out of trouble.

    PRIDEFUL (Donald)

Donald can be a bit prideful sometimes, and can be quite easily coaxed into a fight by a few hits to his ego, or anything negative about Ireland.

    LAZY (Ryan)

Ryan barely exerts any willpower in anything he ever does, which can potentially prevent the system from getting things done.

    SADISTIC/ANGER ISSUES (Cassius)

Cassius takes pleasure in hurting others, and is also quite easily angered. When angered, he will sometimes go into a blind rage.

    PSYCHOTIC (The Mad Jack)
