  1. Drake was terrified, the anger in Daeron's eyes reminded him of... of... his dad. Drake felt his legs give way and found himself kneeling pitifully at the feet of Daeron. Drake WAS weak. He WAS a child. Drake wasn't strong, he wasn't who he had tried to be. He was just a pitiful child who could do nothing more than talk crap on others. Drake realized now that he was just a child in a world that he didn't belong in. He looked at Mari, and said through choked sobs, "I-I'm so sorry." He repeated that phrase again and again, like it was all that mattered, until he had calmed down enough to stand back up. He stood there whimpering and looking at the ground, expecting a harsh beating from Daeron, just like his father had always done.

(OOC: Huh, so he is a kid after all. Not surprising)

  2. Drake backed up, actually too scared to speak, and after several deep breaths, said, "Never had a sword pointed at me like that before. It's kinda intense." As he spoke, he scooted back around Mari, so that she served as more or less a wall so that Drake didn't have to meet the man's fiery gaze. He whimpered, and then cursed yet again. He was not a child, nowhere close. He couldn't be, children were weak in a sense.

Drake took a deep breath and stepped back out from behind Mari, staring at the man, staring straight into his eyes. There was no flinching, no fear at first. Drake had to establish that he wasn't afraid of this killer, that he wasn't a weak little child like some saw him to be. Drake took a step forward, and almost broke eye contact. He was breaking. Another step, his hands were shaking lightly now. After one last step, Drake held up his hand to formally introduce himself via handshake. Drake could feel the gaze tearing through his very being, and simply said, "I'm Drake, nice to meet you. Killing me is not the right course of action here, please use reason"

Inside his head were millions of explosions and screams as he freaked out, unsure of what to do. He was under pressure, this man could destroy him in less than  second. All Drake could do was stand there awkwardly, offering a handshake. He looked at Mari with a look that said: Help me please.

  3. Drake, now in this player's iron grip, said with a slight grin, "It is not a matter of 'Would I Rather', it is a matter of you needing to be more scary, because I, a 14 year old, was not scared." He shrugged and gently removed the players hand from his collar, saying, "Try not to get so angry, I was just giving you pointers." This player was one of the ones Drake sought, and they made Mari look like nothing. This man was a threat, and Drake knew it.

  4. Drake jumped with surprise at Mari's sudden appearance, and swore loudly. He smiled as he turned towards her, and said with the most child-like voice he had, "Whoops! I should watch my mouth." He stared at Mari for several long moments, and then remembered the guy behind him. Crap. Two PKers, in the middle of relatively nowhere. This was bad. He took took his hand off the hilt of the blade, and said quietly to her, "I swear if you intend to take my life, this will not go down well at all. Why are you here? Is this guy your buddy, here to help make me vanish forever?"

  5. Drake froze as the player spoke, and put on a face of false fear, which wouldn't last long. He added a warble and stutter to his voice to make him seem truly terrified, and said, "P-please don't kill me! I-I don't have much in the way of col right now, but you can have my scarf." Drake started laughing, unable to keep up the act anymore, and looked the player, who was obviously a high level. He smirked, trying not to laugh and also trying not to show his discomfort, and said, "Boo. I think you should go for more of a beastly noise next time, because boo is not intimidating." As he spoke, his hand moved to the hilt of his claymore, but he did not draw it, remembering what Mari had said. That the killer could only hurt him if he drew his sword.

Drake did a fancy bow, and as he stood up, said, "I am actually concerned with my safety right now." And he was, this appeared to be the strongest player Drake had ever encountered, and that was not safe at all.

  6. Drake trotted slowly down a beaten path that, on one side had beautiful trees and foliage, while the opposite side of the path was an open field with scarce plant life. Drake whistled a happy tune that sounded somewhat like Mary Had A Little Lamb, and smiled as he remembered the lyrics to HIS version. He whispered under his breath, so that nobody could hear him, "Mari had a daughter once..."

Drake looked at the crystalline blue sky and said, "God, what a nice day it is!" Doing a full 360 degree turn, he laughed loudly, acting odd for no real reason.

  7. Drake shrugged, he didn't need to know anything. They were all standing around like fools and he had gotten bored. Drake stood up and walked away, tired of waiting for them to speak. He was going to kill her, though, and that was a promise. He walked away, and this time kept walking, not turning back. He was done here.

(I'm gonna get this thread locked, so finish up if you need to.)

  8. Drake had gone with the players, but refused to enter the cave. He was unsure of what to think about the player. Jumping into a cave and rambling about mermaids, real normal. Drake looked at the girl and said with caution, "Is he crazy? I mean... he seems... a touch crazy." He was still irritated by the weather, but he was willing to stand in the heat rather than share a cave with a lunatic.

  9. Drake didn't understand X's humor, and shook his head. As they continued onward, Drake tripped here and there, and he cursed the floor under his breath. The sand storm had died down a bit, and Drake could see a bit further ahead now, but there was still no cave. He looked at X with concern and said in an irritated voice, "You better not be a liar. I might just gut you with my sword if this cave doesn't exist."

Drake grunted with effort and swung his claymore, cleaving the weaker wolf in two (1base + 1crit = 2dmg). He smiled and turned towards the other wolf, laughing lightly as it's companion exploded into fragments. He loved the feel of combat sometimes, and loved fighting these mobs because it was a great way to let out some stress. The remaining wolf was fierce, though, and Drake was sure it wouldn't go down without a fight.

  11. Drake glared at Ariel, upset by what she said, and barely managed to refrain from yelling, "You are saying that I should change? Me? I am not responsible for who I am." He felt like that made no sense, and continued, "I was shaped into who I was by a horrible man. He caused this!" He looked at Lessa, and said with a touch of bitterness, "I won't 'lay low'. I will confront them if I deem it necessary. I will be cautious, that much is obvious." He hated how these people saw him.

Mari had seen him as a child. Lessa seemed to see him as out of control. Malakath thought he as crazy. It wasn't right. He took several breaths and tried to calm down, saying, "Look, I know I have acted rashly. But this is my passion, this is my only goal. I can hold myself back, but I WILL accomplish my goals, okay?" He realized that he had stood up, and sat down, feeling all of his muscles relax.

Drake had followed the player, and laughed heartily when he missed, saying, "I thought we were fighting?" He drew his sword and swung as close to the boar as he could without hitting it. The boar reacted, even though Drake hadn't harmed it, and stood up, goring him in the side (1dmg = 1dmg). Drake staggered backwards, shouting curses, and prepared to fight.

  13. Drake nodded as she told him her name, and said, "Well, Rebekah, I'll have to pay you back for this water sometime." He had already finished it, and felt a little guilty, seeing as there were two other players out in the desert with him. He shrugged, it's not like they're going to die without a little bit of water. He shook his head about the cave and said, "Not possible, I've been wandering this area for... maybe a few hours... and I haven't seen a thing." He was interested though, and looked at Rebekah, hoping she would get things moving. After several moments he took a step towards where the cave supposedly was, and said, "Are you guys coming?"

  14. Drake accepted the water gratefully, saying, "Thank you." The cold liquid felt great, and Drake could have purred with pleasure, almost like a cat. As she asked him what he was doing in the desert, he shrugged and said, "I figured I would explore some of the floors, though this floor sucks." He frowned, guitar guy had gotten up and followed him. He turned to face him and said, "Are you insane? Shirtless with all this sand flying about."

  15. Drake heard the chair scrape across the floor, and turned his head just in time to see the newcomer, Ariel, fall out of her chair. He laughed, and offered his hand to help her up, saying, "I don't think you need a drink, I think you need lessons in balance." He looked at Lessa and said with a touch of humor, "If the guild is composed of people who fall over all the time, what type of reputation will it get?" He was glad the player had fallen, it took his mind off of other things, but it also showed that this world was still fun. It didn't have to be so serious all the time.

  16. Drake looked to his left, and then to his right, and saw a player with a guitar and a female player. Seeing as guitar guy had no shirt on and looked a touch crazy, Drake decided to talk to the female. He stood, knees shaking badly, and stumbled over to her, saying as loudly as he could without sounding threatening, "Hey! Do you know where-" The wind whipped up into a fury, and the rest of his words were gone. The heat was still diminishing his strength, but he stood there nonetheless.

  17. Drake staggered through the endless desert, his scarf wrapped around his head to cover his nose and mouth, and cursed himself for ever travelling to this cursed floor. The sheer heat was tiring Drake out more than actually traveling, and he couldn't see anything around him because sand was everywhere. The wind had swept up quite a sandstorm, and now Drake was lost. The grains in the air pelted him in the face, and led him to close his eyes from discomfort.

He fell to his knees and placed his hand on the ground, so as not to fall on his face. Drake promised himself that he would never visit this floor again. He yelled in anger and the wind tore his words from him, leaving him breathless. This was the worst place to be, ever.

  18. Drake looked at the other players, who had backed off to watch the fighting and decided that he would attempt to fight after the wolf recovered. He took sevreal steps back and sheathed his sword, saying, "Since there's so many of us, we gotta give it a fighting chance, right?" He smiled, but felt pity for the wolf, which stood absolutely no chance. This battle had gone from unfair to unnecessary in mere moments.

Drake approached the boar cautiously, and with a flick of his wrist cleaved in in two (1base + 1crit = 2dmg). The boar exploded into fragments, and Drake smiled smugly as he received one mat. The smug smile vanished quickly, turning into a look of interest as he saw what he had received. He was a bit upset by the color, but was still happy.

Drake lunged through the air and brought his sword down on the boar's back, leaving a large glowing gash (1base = 1dmg). The boar snorted wildly and swung it's tusks at him. Luckily, it completely missed, but Drake was still being extremely cautious. Drake held his sword up in a defensive position, and frowned. This battle was not going the way he planned.
