Skylar was not really able to find one by himself, luckily Rutta was able to find something. His leopard companion clawed at a nearby tree and growled. Skylar looked up to see an actual crystal at the top. Skylar climbed and made his way to the top, the crystal was beautiful and Skylar was glad to have another item he could use for later. "Great job Rutta!" It was a great feeling of accomplishment.

Skylar was slightly taken back. He always considered himself to pay very close attention to Clarence, how could he miss the fact that he likes animals. It should have been obvious by the fact that him and Rutta got along so well.  {Even now the cat is purring underneath Clarence's gentle touch}

"So we do not have too do much just fight together when the monster comes and stay alive." Skylar held Clarence's hand and walked towards the edge of the town. The cold was biting but did not bother Skylar as much. For a kid born in a tropical region he spent most of his time on this floor. Rutta was easily capable of moving, the big cat always enjoyed his time here.

Rutta guided and Skylar held hands and walked with Rutta, before he turned around to talk. "So what is going on with everyone?" It was small talk but he just wanted to chat with everyone.

Skylar made his way back into Vulcan Village. He was already running late thanks too his insistence on meeting Calrex and his beloved here. "Come on Rutta! The others are most likely there already." Rutta ran alongside Skylar, it was not long before it spotted Calrex. The leopard pushed into Skylar's side to get his attention. Skylar looked down and did not say a word as he followed his companion. He was use to Rutta's mannerisms to know what he wanted without him being able to speak.

It was not long till he spotted Calrex, off to the side with a big sword as usual. "Hey man what's up?" He spoke and waited too see if Calrex even noticed him. Skylar bent to pet Rutta and waited for Clarence. Calrex was probably waiting for him to show up before saying their mission. The mission was already pointed out with various members of the group taking on the different areas of the <<Bandit Camp>> quest. But as far as their destination or numbers Skylar was unsure about. "So boy what do you think?"

Skylar woke up feeling confused. it was a long night and he did not generally pay attention. Skylar was tired and generally felt like sleeping a lot. It was a weird sensation to sleep underneath the stars in the game. Most of the time Skylar did not even realize time passed at all when he was asleep.

"JO, LO, anyone here?" Skylar called out while rubbing sand out of his eyes. Rutta rubbed him but Skylar was a bit blind.

Skylar looked around for another recording crystal. There was not much to be found  so Skylar walked a short distance to look for another.

Calrex is right. The other thing to consider would be players needing to pass the benchmarks to make it to higher floors. That way after floor 10 there is no way they could get higher level materials unless they can make it to higher floors. That way the mods would not have to check everything except who makes the equipment.

The equipment does have to level up with the player in order to take on stronger bosses. That will also limit the people who would want to participate in a boss battle. Who would want to participate in a boss battle that does like 20 damage and 5 Mitigation with our current gear and stats.

I actually agree with Mari on this. Why are we discussing a cap on the boss battles when there are not that many people fighting in the first place. The fact of the matter is life is hard on everyone and we never know what can happen. The last couple of days became a struggle for me to make one post. I see no need for more then one boss thread because not everyone is participating in the first. I would love to see more events and such but we do not have the staff power.

Overall if we cannot continue the main story of the threads. We should at least have a lot more in the way of Quests and such to keep up on. A serious RP'er can do everything in a week if everyone else responded on time. The fact is even having arena bosses will be interesting to have.

If the staff is low on volunteers why not promote someone? Calrex is usual here all the time and I believe he is fair.

Skylar picked himself out of the sand that started getting onto every bit of his body. The sand got into his ears a lot so he did not realize someone was speaking. It sounded as if someone said what the hell was he thinking with the whole worm things. No one spoke but wind and sand make mistakes more common.

"Hhmm.... Oh the last worm thing?" Skylar shook his head and managed to get the sand out his ears. "I was not able to doge without getting sliced too bits. So I jumped inside to pass the teeth. It was low on health points any way, so killing it was not a big deal." Skylar started to walk, with Rutta taking the lead. "I suggest we move faster if we want to catch up to the caravan". 

Skylar walked with his group for hours the sun setting, casting a darkness across the grounds around them. "Okay I suggest we stop here and take a break. The floor is pretty big and we have been doing well. It is getting too dark for us to continue movement. Anyone up for the first shift?"

Skylar checked all around for some more recording Crystals. Rutta took him to two different tree's none of them had a crystal for him to harvest. Everything was an empty slate that he could not benefit from. "Come on Rutta! Normally you are so much better at this. What is going on today friend." Skylar was very close to his cat, he felt that it was a living being that cared for him too. {Even if the cat knows have to give attitude to everyone.}

((Normally I do not do this. The thing is I skipped one by accident. So this time I put them together. Who am I talking to anyway? O.o))

Skylar did not pay much attention to majority of the meeting. Ariel talked about the guild and the quest the group is going to take on, Calrex barely spoke, and Teayre introduced herself. Skylar thought he was excited when Clarence walked in he was wrong. The famous "Teayre" Calrex always spoke about left an amused smirk on his face. One new guy had the nerve to be late and didn't seem to realize it. Still the meeting passed without an incident.

{I wonder when Clarence joined this guild in the first place. I do not remember mentioning it either. Well I could not blame it on him. I was very distracted too. Could have happened to anyone.}

"Sweeet, I get you and Calrex babe" Skylar grinned ear to ear talking to Clarence. He trusted these two with his life, more then anyone else in the guild really, even more then Ariel. Ariel is a great friend and all but overtime he has grown closer to Calrex. Clarence was in a different field from the two as his lover but he is still great in a fight and very dependable.

"Come out, Come out, Wherever you are!" Jomei and Lowenthal both managed to hit their worm. Skylar on the other hand was searching for his, just like him the monsters in the game did not want to die. Skylar could not see them underground to try his hand at a game of Dig Dug, so he was purely doing guess work at this point.The familiar rumble started under the ground again. "So you are coming back for more eh!" The sand worm came from behind, it was a sneak! Skylar did the only rational thing. When the worm opened it's mouth Skylar jumped in and started punching. The worm HP was already low so a few blows had Skylar suddenly face first in the sand. "Please tell me you guys saw that! Cool free money and a crystal"

Skylar smiled watching Jomei's facial expression. He seemed apprehensive at the thought of being protected by a girl. Skylar had to give Jomei credit for always being a brave one. At the mention of his guild Skylar thought for an answer. The entire time he has known Jomei not once did he mention the fact he was in a guild that he could remember. "My bad man. I guess I just plum forgot to mention it." Normally he was great for mention news, So maybe Skylar did but just did not remember.

"And yes from what I know of this quest. It maybe the most challenging we have done Jomei. Which actually makes me want to pet it." The fact that this was dangerous made Skylar very excited. Like the fact that he lived by a Volcano in real life, very beautiful and deadly.

Skylar idly chatted with Calrex and Teayre. The surprising part was when Clarence introduced himself to Teayre. Then again Skylar was not sure if they spoke at the meeting.  He was shocked the first time he met Teayre. She ran the only artisan shop he could find. He was not originally aware her name was even Teayre. Still he memory of the bandit assault meeting was very hazy at best, he was pretty sure Teayre introduced herself. {Did we even do that? Man it is like one big time skip in there. Still what the hay happened that, week, or was it even a month.}

Skylar grabbed Clarence's other hand, before getting to the heart of the matter. "So I thought we could all chat and get to know each other better. We may all be guild mates, that does not mean we cannot be teammates too. So we are going to do something dangerous while getting to know each other." Skylar huffed in his other hand slightly distracted by the little white puffs. "I always say nothing bonds you as much as adventure with a chance of death."

Skylar looked around for his new worm com-padre. Rutta was off to the side, shaking sand of his body, watching the fight with absolute boredom. "Mr. Wooorm!" Skylar called and looked all around for his worm. It was gone underneath the sand, a few groaning noses was heard, and Skylar expected it to pop up under him. Instead the worm appeared to the side, like a giant whale it plopped on the side sending sand everywhere. It was more of an annoyance then anything.

"I think you are such a nice Minotaur and all but you are getting on my nerves."  Skylar got in position for his finishing move. "Snake Dancing Whirlwind" He started twisting his legs and hitting the Minotaur. When the health points dropped to zero he stopped for a breather. Fighting could be fun but three consecutive back to back battles could be tiring.

"Man you guys tired me out." Skylar checked the battle inventory to see if he got anything. "Hhmm, four recording crystals and 240 in Col. That's not bad at all. Now Rutta what should we look for next."

Skylar looked around the floor until he spotted a familiar face. "Well...Well...Well... It would be Jomei taking on another boss. Hello Meokka" Skylar actually looked at the girl more. Skylar did not really talk to her back then but this time he would have to work with her. He looked her up and down to check if she would be alright. She looks stronger than Jomei so Skylar assumed she could handle herself pretty well. {I really have to make sure I bring her back alive. If not Ariel will kick my behind, then kill me.}

"So what is the happs? Killing monster, finding the lost city of Atlantis, running from zombies?" It was exciting, nothing filled Skylar with more excitement the running around on an adventure. "We're going on a trip in our favorite rocket ship. Soaring thru the skies!" Skylar started singing to himself and made airplane motions with his hand.

Skylar stood around Snowfrost Town with Rutta. The overgrown cat rolled in the snow while Skylar talked to NPC's, rumor has it that there was a place around here for a great date. So far everyone Skylar talked to had no idea what the Starglade was. It must be more exclusive then what Skylar thought at first. He opened his menu to check for any quests that could pop up, one was a for help in the field. He read the specs about a monster in the field that appears when you strike a bone, it was an interesting quest that he must take on.

Skylar looked through a list of people to play with. {Normally I would go with Jomei, but I have been seeing to much of him recently. I would not want to put Ahti in danger, she is weak enough to die at her current level.} Skylar thought about Ariel and the guild, it would make sense to invite a guild member. {Teayre! Of course, that would be a smart choice.} Skylar thought about how she was the best damage dealer in the guild. It would also give him a chance to get to know her better. He opened the menu and made the message

 

To: Teayre

 

Hello! It would be a pleasure to get to know you better. I am assembling a small party on the fourth floor and believed it to be a good idea to invite you. Let me know what you think. I will be waiting right by the warp pad in Snowfrost Town.

"Wait a minute let me invite Calrex and Clarence. We are all in the guild and it would be a good chance to bond with each other." Skylar opened his menu to type the other two messages.

It will be a pleasure for you to come on an adventure with me. Calrex and Teayre should be coming so we could all double date. I will be on the fourth floor. I love you my cutie pie.

Skylar walked to the warp pad to wait for the others. "Last but not least Calrex."

It was getting easier for Skylar to win. The Minotaur was still the same speed, the fact that Skylar only had to focus on one creature made it easier for him to win. The Minotaur was further away since it crashed, so Skylar used the <<Sprint and Acrobatics>> and <<Athletics>> skills to get close. Skylar leaped on the horns before being bringing his foot down, crashing it right in the nose. "Sorry! Not sorry!"

Skylar was in the Forest of Mist, doing the usual Minotaur slaying. He wanted to make sure he became strong enough for the next floor boss fight. The floor bosses became strong and Skylar had to grow to keep up. Rumor of a monster named Mari was slaying bosses offhandedly like flies, made Skylar competitive. With the way the rumors of this Mari was spreading, it was like wild fire. Skylar even heard she hit the 10th floor boss so hard the 11th floor boss was already damaged when they got there. The boss was even said to have nine heads, Skylar shuddered at the thought. *beep* "So Jomei accepted a quest again huh." Skylar made it his business to watch after his personal friend. "Come on Rutta we have to go keep Jomei alive again." Skylar headed to the warp panel in Delilah Village.

"Floor 9 too Vulcan village"

The warp started up and Skylar Teleported. Looking around the village for the first time, he stood by the the warp pad wondering where to go.

Skylar was really focused on his battle. The sudden shout from Jomei took some of his attention, he looked around to see Lowenthal about to be eaten. Jomei used his sprint skill to get on top of the worm while it was going for Lowenthal, and did well to stop it by stabbing it with his Rapier repeatedly. "Good job man!" Skylar was unsure if he was heard, if he was not the accolades could be given later.

*Hiss* *Hiss*

The same worm kept coming after him. It was intent on killing Skylar for all the torment. "I think you need a better past time." Skylar jumped as the worm came side ways. "Look at me I am worm riding!" It is pretty great to become strong. Long ago this battle would have killed him, now it was just a warm up. The worm was getting ready to dive, Skylar had to do the sensible thing and punch it between two section. Between the head and the body, the worm shrieked before he jumped off. "Nice try!" It dove back in the sand as Skylar watched the other fight,

"You guys are trying really hard and you are doing well. The only thing you are forgetting to do is focus more on the moving target. Do not think of where the target is but where it will be. I am getting a bit tired so I guess I could finish it." Skylar moved as if the last word was spoken by an afterimage. 

As the boar was going to strike Zandra in recoil, Skylar did a hand stand. The move had a tendency to distract the mobs "Dancing Snake Whirlwind!" Skylar started to spin like a top. Striking the boar repeatedly with his legs, the Boar health dropped to zero, and it the data burst. Skylar gained a recording crystal but that was all that was given. "So any other business needed? If not I will conclude our business here."

The fact that it was only one of them, made it a lot easier to fight.  Skylar decided to take his time a twirl around the monster, It lowered it's horns and charged. "Nice try loser!" He squatted and stuck a leg out. It was not really a karate move, but the Minotaur still took damage when it crashed.

Skylar punched hard enough to hear cracking sounds. The Minotaur lost health very fast, normally the hit would not hit as hard. Skylar was investing his skill points in his fighting so his hits hurt a lot more.

The Minotaur was checking on it's Ally. The chance for Skylar to strike was now. The forest almost covered the Minotaur but the smell was too hard to cover. Rutta growled when he got near the two.

"Thanks man!" It was a shot in the dark so Skylar was not sure which he hit. The answer came in the form of a back hand. That sent him flying. Rose shot off another spark that stopped the Minotaur. The extra light that illuminated the area did not reveal another Minotaur. Skylar stood to feel his battle kicking start.

The Minotaurs stood still as the lightning from Rose kept them in place. Skylar walked to the closest one and punched. The Minotaur flew back crashing into a tree, before Skylar could hit the next one it already got loose. The second Minotaur moved to check on it's brother.
