  1. "I-Im good. Not hungry right now." Corvus stated near silently. He couldn't even bring the thought of food to his head. Crossing his fingers, Corvus bean to collect his thoughts. 'Where do I start? Its been a few months since I interacted with anyone else but these past few weeks Its so different,' Thoughts and questions swam around in his head, until he grabbed on to one.

"How do I get a familiar? I know you have belram and I was missing an ole bird of mine for some time now. Speaking of him, where is belram?"

Corvus asked the questions hesitantly. He wasn't quite sure if this was an acceptable topic for a casual conversation. Or maybe it was just his paranoia that told him that.

  2. Corvus read and re-read the reply. 'The cafe? Why couldn't it be anywhere but there?' He told himself.

Leaving his inn room, Corvus stopped to check how many more nights he still had paid for. After paying for four more, he began his short walk in search of the cafe. Seeing the entrance, Corvus impatiently darted

in between two people walking through. A few short 'sorrys' later, he sat down across from Teayre.

    "Long time no see, right?"

  3. Corvus sat down on the sill of an inn's second-floor room. Dangling his legs over the edge, he watched the crowds below him making their ways to wherever they must be going. Bored, he kept opening and closing his menu, childishly entertained by the annoying repetition of the scripted chime sound. An idea sprung up at the sight of the messaging icon.

MESSAGE: Hey, It's Corvus, from back on floor four. I was wondering actually, if it's not to out of the way, do you mind meeting me down on
floor one? I have some questions.

"No going back now."    He said aloud while pressing send.

Resting against the closed window behind him, Corvus rested, waiting for a response.

Hopefully this won't happen like any other time.

Hopefully this won't happen like any other time.

  5. Corvus glared at the new arrival, then turned back to the other two ignoring his presence.
"I was waiting for someone Zeri. But he isn't coming anytime soon, so Im open. How about you Anthony? Have any plans?"

Corvus remained with a normal straight face. No hint of emotion or motive could be revealed through his words. Had no one been talking to him he could be mistaken for a statue. His hand tapped rhythmically on the table suddenly and a change entered his eyes. He seemed very focused on a memory. And he was. A memory that took place just a week before.

Cold. That was what corvus first thought. He looked at his friend, and wondered how he came and hunted here very day all day. Corvus felt bad.  Kichirou did all the hunting, leveling; He took care of them both. Although the items and EXP they earned went to him no matter which one found it, Corvus felt like he wasn't doing his part. Kichirou's words jostled him back. They were setting up camp. They chose a spot under a low tree branch to lie down. staring at the pine bristles, they both fell asleep. Corvus woke later, being jostled. Kichirou was shaking him, and saying something. And then he wasn't there anymo-

Corvus shook his head and pulled himself out of the memory.

  6. Corvus gave an uncomfortable glance at Calrex. He could tell he was being talked about. It took him a moment to come back to reality. Shaking his head, Corvus stood up and looked at the others. He wandered over to a few feet from the fight. Corvus knew it was stupid to stand so close, but he wanted to watch for something.

"I don't know, I'm not sure you seem completely in your right mind X."

Corvus's calm broke into a smirk as he stared at X. He gave a short fulls smile, nodded and started back over to where Calrex, Zeri, and Kotori were.
"Wait, where's Zeri?" Corvus wondered, not noticing he mumbled it out loud.

"Cal, two questions. One, where did Zeri go, and two, is it safe for any of us to be sleeping out here? I've had a..." Corvus's voice falters, "a bad experience before while camping and not paying too much attention."
Corvus looked down at the resting girl sadly.

  7. Corvus looked at Zeri, his calm faltering shortly. He sighed and looked down to the table.

    "No, i'll stay. It's fine."

Sitting up he turned to Zeri, with a question on his mind.

"Hey, um, were you looking for me?"

The question came out slowly, not sure if he wanted an answer.

  8. Corvus sat himself cross-legged in the snow a mere meter away from the fight watching closely. Knowing X was strong, he was curious to how confident Teayre was being. Suddenly remembering that he wasn't in a safe zone, Corvus backed himself away from the fight a considerable distance. After sliding back, an idea popped into his head.

"Does anyone know if there's popcorn or anything of the sort? If so, where can I get some?" Corvus asked no one in particular. He nearly bit his tongue off at the end of his sentence when the thought of how X would react to his sarcasm. Not well most likely.

As the fight began and Teayre stepped easily away from X's awful strike. After seeing X flick his finger and hit nothing but air, Corvus wasn't sure if should looked embarrassed or glad. He new X would be angry if he doubted him, but Teayre reminded him of someone he trusted well. Pushing Alice out of his head, Corvus returned his attention to he fight.

"Look it's awesome when it hits alright!"

"X, how often does it hit exactly?" Corvus remarked without a second thought.

A sudden odd calm covered his face, as if nothing could worry him.

  9. Still in a calm state, Corvus nodded, saying softly "This isn't the first time."

He sat back down, his unsettling calmness beginning to break. The realization that he was in a conversation with a person suddenly jolted him to his senses. Corvus seemed to  suddenly have a look of discomfort and worry, fidgeting in his seat. he leaned forward, then back again, not sure if he is comfortable leaning close in near someone, or being open to the entire room.

A feeling of panic that contradicts Corvus's previous mood suddenly arises in him. Constantly throwing looks around the room, Corvus asks near silently "M-maybe I should go to my r-room. It was nice to meet y-you A-a-Anthony."

Despite the finality in his statement, Corvus stays seated.

  10. "Raven,"  Corvus corrected, somewhat coldly.

"Crow is the more common translation but I use raven."

Corvus swiped upon his menu and began to sort through his inventory/ He gave a quick peek at his now empty friend list and flinched briefly.

"Well. I guess I have no reason to wait here anymore."

"and so the death game has won again,"  Corvus muttered the dark quote to himself.

A sudden memory of a familiar scene played out in his head. It's morbidly ironic how alike this situation is to the last time. Even the table they were seated at. Corvus had to restrain himself from attempting to smash the table into a pile of wood.

He never wanted to have to repeat this ever again.

As he stood, Corvus gave the other a worrying look. "You don't mind if I go now, will you?"

Corvus paused waiting for an answer before he would be going to his room.

  11. Corvus looked at the person sitting before him. He felt an odd cold feeling, as if he was watching elsewhere. After a moment Corvus actually processed the question he was asked.

"Do I look like the kind of person who is okay?"

Corvus knew the guy was trying to be helpful, but he didn't want anyone to help. He wanted them all just to go. It was happening again. He knew should be doing something, but he felt... calm. Just an emptiness. Corvus looked back at the guy, and looked back down.

"Im Corvus. Just so you know."

  12. Corvus looked at the odd red headed girl, not sure if he should be trusting. Finally deciding there wasn't any thing to worry about he responded.

"Nice to meet you Teayre. If you don't mind me asking, but why are you all sleeping in the woods?"

Corvus looked around at the others, quickly looking away after seeing X. Corvus remembered him from the restaurant, and knew he wasn't a fan off newbies like himself.

Corvus took another glance around at the others and noticed the dazed girl laying on her back. Without thinking, Corvus stood up and stumbled his way towards her and Teayre, not quit regaining his balance yet.

"Is she hurt? did something happen to her?"

Corvus stopped a few feet away and clumsily dropped to a kneel. He then began to search his inventory for healing related items, but failed to find anything that was of any real use.

  13. "3" Corvus answered, not at all worried about the low number. "Don't be surprised, I may not be strong in here, but I don't rely on the sword skills. I had training back home in the real world." He added quickly. Suddenly a grimace covered Corvus's face. He shook it off the best he could, going back to a partial smile,

  14. Corvus opened his eyes again. "Was the question pointed at him?"  He thought. "Of course it is. i should say something." "Im.... Corvus. And you?" He said hesitantly. Corvus wasn't sure if he should be worried that she had made a move for her weapon, but shrugged off the thought of danger. He suddenly remembered what took place only hours ago. Corvus's face broke into a grimace from the thought.

  15. Corvus gave a subtle nod, and turned away again. "You're right, I must be mistaken. You just seem like someone I knew..." Corvus shook his head suddenly and looked up. "Anyway, thanks. I'm Corvus." He finished his sentence by holding a hand up to shake.

  16. Corvus opened his eyes. A few feet away, he could see a player sleeping. Sleeping!? In the freezing forest? On the fourth floor? Corvus started to sit up, but the snow beneath him gave a load crunch. Worried he would wake the other up, he stayed still and looked at his surroundings. He saw a few others not so far away. Corvus realized that if they meant harm he would be dead by now. Knowing there was no danger, Corvus leaned his head back and began to sleep.

  17. Corvus sat by the door of a small inn, tapping his finger lightly. He stares at the door and glances out the window growing more worried ever second. A look of relief washes over his face as a notification pops up in front of him. Gladly reading it, the happiness drains from his face. To anyone in sight, they could have seen it was friend-list related. He shakes his head, not believing the words he was reading. Corvus stands slowly and makes his way towards the door. He pauses momentarily, before punching the wall with all his force. Corvus turns and sits back down, an eerie calm displayed across his face.

  18. Corvus was cold. That was the first thought that entered his head, He was cold. As the shock of what happened began to subside, Corvus became more aware of his surroundings. His first observation was that he was in a tree. A very, very, tall tree. His second observation, he was at the top. For the final detail that began to come back to him, he hated heights. He then realized that he heard voices. Only a few. he grabbed his rapier's handle, and grasped it tightly. Looking around, he saw that he had a perfect view of a slight clearing with a few players. "Had I been spying on them?" Corvus asked himself. Deciding hastily, Corvus began his descent down the tree. Near the bottom, a branch he put too much weight on had snapped putting him in a free fall for the last 3 or 4 meters. He landed in clear view of the clearing with a loud THUD, knocking him near unconscious.

  19. Corvus poked his head out the door and glanced around quickly. He stepped out and started walking away muttering "Thanks" to the rather large guy, resting his sword on his shoulder. He stopped suddenly and turned back, facing the one with glasses. "Do I know you?" Corvus asked as if he had seen a ghost.

  20. Corvus eyed the two that had made their way over to watch the spectacle outside. In response, he paled and leaned away from them, into the table. He new nothing could go wrong in a safe zone but still... Corvus shuddered at uncomfortable memories. He finally worked up enough courage to say something. "Is this a normal occurrence? People being thrown through windows?" he said softly, hoping they wouldn't hear the question and instead ignore him. Before he could get a response, he heard the loud one outside calling out a command to the other. "do the honor of finishing this one off...like an arcade game ending". Corvus jerked his head to look outside again. As Corvus processed what was said, a look of horror washed over his face. He stood up without hesitation calling out "That won't be necessary, I think you've done enough."

  21. Corvus Ignored the scuffle happening on the ground as he entered the restaurant. He walked in with the look of death on his face. He sat down to a seat closest to the now shattered window, and continued to stare at his hands. He finally broke his gaze to glance at the two fighting. The second he saw there gear he instinctively grabbed the handle of his rapier. It took him a moment to realize there was no threat and he pried his hands off it.

    » Virtues:

»»Morals:Corvus may appear to have a cold and foreboding attitude, but if you keep an eye on his actions you can see he is actually quite caring. The best way to describe him is a "Robinhood-Who-Hates-People". He avoids others , but isn't slow to help when them in trouble. He has a heavy disliking for the over confident, which can sometimes cause trouble.

»»Logic:Corvus keeps a level head, and is smart with his decisions. He can put together facts fast, and comes to accurate conclusions. Corvus often tries to think his way around a predicament, rather than challenge it head on. He can be deceptive, and his goals aren't obvious.

»»Loyalty:Despite his antisocial behavior, Corvus is protective of the few close to him. After watching Kichirou die, Corvus would do anything to keep his friends alive, even if it cost him his life.

    » Flaws:
»»Temper:Corvus shows little emotion on his face. Gauging his mood is a task few can succeed. When Corvus is angry, he will make sure you know it. If he suddenly becomes quiet, you know that he is truly enraged. Corvus's short fuse can lead to very poor decisions, and people can get hurt.

»»Mental Illness: At a young age, Corvus had shown signs of developing mental illnesses including bipolar disorder, and anxiety. After his hospitalization, the list exploded into a plethora of other illnesses including PTSD and depression. Although symptoms were kept in check, they began to resurface after entering Aincrad.

»»Anti-social: Corvus avoids people like the plague. In every situation that requires him to interact with others he is uncomfortable. The only time he chooses to be with others is when he is helping them. Corvus is reluctant to make friends or join a guild because he worries he will fail them like he did Kichirou.

    »Moods:

Corvus has a defining trait that is a detriment as much as an advantage.

His sudden change of mood based on related triggers can often affect his decisions.

    »Corvus[Normal]

Corvus at his normal can be described as cold. He often talks low and quiet; hard to hear from a distance. In most situations he isn't short of a sarcastic comment. However, once comfortable with someone he begins to be more animated in his speech, talking at a more even and clear tone.

{*To understand how I write, the lighter the text color, the quieter his speech.

    Text color itself is often used to convey his emotion. I don't specify the color's meanings to let  the reader decide themself.*}

    »Corvus[Eerie calm]

After many run-ins with death of those close to him, Corvus became quite broken mentally. Even the thought or memory of death can push him into his 'Calm'. When like this, all emotion and intent is hidden from his expression. He puts 100% into everything he is doing. The sight of him like this in a fight can be confusing and intimidating. Corvus often uses minimal movement when fighting 'Calm'. He rarely even forms a fighting pose. He will move slowly and methodically, eliminating every thing he perceives as a threat with his best precision.

    {Text during Eerie Calm will often be extremely light, sometimes nearly unreadable. It is advised you highlight anything that is hard to read to better understand it.}
