Yamata no orochi

The Orochi was done for just as it thought without a head count to show. It was over. For now at least. Yamata No Orochi's final head wavered, eye's viciously locked on the players in front of it. It's health bar slowly drained as the pink haired player chunked more than half it's health and dropped it to zero also effectively cutting through it's neck. It let out one final screech which echoed around the room before it's head fell to the floor and it's body dissipated into a mass of golden particles. The floor clearers had done well, for now.

~Player Mari has the option of choosing between two items:

-Kusanagi: A blade that matches the wielders highest ranked weapon skill. The weapon looks similar to that of the Orochi's katana. The blade is blood red and curved at the tip. The hilt resembles multiple snakes coiling around each other with heads flourishing out as the guard of the weapon.

Stats: (On an 8-10 natural roll it induces -2 HP Bleed for 2 turns and +2 Damage)

-Magatama: A necklace that grants the wielder great agility. The necklace looks like a long black snake with blood red ruby eyes beginning to consume the other end of it's body; creating a circular shape. The tail of snake running from the head represents the evasiveness of a snake and the head of it represents the accurate and precise nature of it's attacks.

The Orochi was finished, and it knew it, without a dead body to show for it either. The group had done well this battle but it wasn't going to go down without giving every last bit of energy it had left. The noxious gas began to bubble at the pit of it's stomach, brewing with spite. It's final head stood, scarred and battle worn as it's other heads laid limp beside its body like the dead petals to a fallen flower. The Orochi heaved it's body back as the gas began to rise from it's core. With a tremendous effort its final head lunged forward over the players, jaws opened wide and with a blood curdling hiss it spread it's poisonous breath over the battlefield for what it assumed to be the last time.

Yamata was getting impatient, it was down to two heads and none of the players had fallen yet. It was a wonder if it was ever going to kill any of them at the rate it was going. The Orochi lifted it's katana arm high above the players below it and with an empowered swing the shrill of its blade pierced the room aimed directly at the disdainful pink haired leader. It put so much force into it's attack that it had diverted to the wrong side and with a mild misjudgement the attack missed completely, only serving to cause a gust of wind to blow across the battle field and shake the ground the players trespassed on.

It seemed as though the players were finally beginning to pick up their game, and make their moves. Although the majority of them were dangerously low on health. The Orochi lifted one of its large, muscular arms and with it, bought down the large Katana blade that it held down onto the blonde player, known as Rebekah. Her armour managed to mitigate part of the damage, still, the hit was a success - and the poison was ever slowly whittling away at their health. Soon, soon there would be a death amongst the players.

The mighty Yamata No Orochi stood tall even though it had been shaved down halfway it's original vigor. A few of the players struggled greatly under the pressure of battle and a lot of them worked together to keep each other alive. Pests. The dark smog of the beasts poison breath had once again lifted; it was time for another dose which would bring them all closer to death. The poison breath was working well, and it would continue to do so. 

The beast lifted its heads high as the gases began to bubble and fume from the pit of it's being, rising throughout its throat and seeped from the sides of its maw. It directed the attack and exhaled over the small group of players, venting its toxic vapor which suspended like a cloud over the intense battlefield.

The Orochi had fully recovered its injuries on its remaining heads, the few remaining players were scrambling, attempting to make hits. However- those who did not have Night Vision were lost in the dark, murky, poisonous mists that surrounded them, whilst still drinking, The Orochi lazily lifted up a heavy blade, striking it down hard against Shark, his armor mitigated some of the damage, but the strike still hit.

The Orochi stumbled forward, and it looked as though one of its large weapons was about to attack Crozeph, however the swing missed the black haired boy by a mile. It's few remaining heads looked annoyed. The Orochi grabbed another Keg, the last remaining keg and began to drink its fill. Its HP began to go up again. And players, would no longer be able to heal. It was lucky, that they had healed themselves quickly during their reprise.

Healing Rum: Grabs one of the two kegs and drinks its content, healing 5 HP on its turn until the kegs are destroyed by players. Kegs can't be hit while not in use by the boss. The kegs HP is 40 each and Orochi cannot be hit while it is healing. Players cannot heal themselves or use healing items while the Healing Rum is in use.

The players struggled, and foolishly bickered amongst themselves. The dark haired player, Crozeph had lapsed and missed oppertunities. Mari, the pink player was agitated and angry, The long, silver haired player Shark - seemed more concerned with what others were doing than with his own actions, and the blonde - Rebekah - who was only focused on herself, and not of the wellbeing of her fellow team members.

The Orochi's heads chuckled in unison, yes, unison. Unity. Something these players did not understand. 12 turns had passed - and so, the poison began to lessen. The Orochi had noted that its toxic fumes seemed to deal the most damage, with players having no way to mitigate its damage or effects. 

The large beast took a deep breath, and exhaled; and once again, toxic fumes and mist began to engulf the room, just as the players thought they had a reprise - it was over. Some were in the red; others - were doing well. Regardless. Their bickering would be their downfall.

The players continued to falter, a few managed to land hits on the Rum, but the Orochi didn't seem to care. It's entire body shook with chortled laughter, its eyes looking mischievously gleeful, as though it was enjoying the intoxicating drink - and so it should. The Rum was slowly healing the beast. It's damaged 4th head had completely healed. The Yamata didn't attack this turn, it simply revelled in its healing liquor.

The Orochi stepped forward - bringing down one of its large swords hard against the player that idled. Foolish players - that made two now...who had lagged behind in the battle. What fools, if they weren't careful- they would die. The Yamata had collided with Crozeph, and satisfied with its hit. Took a step back.

Its few remaining heads turning to look at one of the large barrels that had been idly resting by it's side for the duration of the battle. The Yamata No Orochi picked it up, and held it high over its heads. It began to drink from the item. And a HP bar appeared above the barrel.

Two of the Orochi's heads were now hanging limply. It took a deep breath - ensuring its distance was kept from the others. Most were becoming far too complacent. The hardest hitters were the females of the group. The pink one, and the one with hair the colour of the sun. There was a moment of silence in the room - before a loud hiss  began to escape from the Orochi's nostrils and mouths - as thick, purple mist once again began to fill the room. 

It was a noxious, toxic gas - and the best way to afflict all the users present with a deadly poison, inhibiting their attacks and slowly whittling away at their health.

The Orochi violently shook its heads as it was attacked, only half the attacks managed to land and do any sort of serious damage. The Orochi's heads were still divided, one watching Mari, two watching Crozeph, two watching Shark, and two on Rebekah. It lifted its heavy blades once again, and bore them down onto Crozeph. Without skipping a beat.  The last head, hung limp, swinging side to side on the ground.

All the while, purple smoke poured from its nostrils.

The Orochi did not seem fazed or bothered by the eventual downfall of its Guardians. It simply took two steps forward, towering down over the blonde known as Rebekah. It lifted up its Katana's in two, large, bulky hands and thrust them down upon the girl. Deep red gashes appeared on her lithe body, as the attack tore through any sort of armor she may have possessed. The Orochi remained close, its heads each focusing on a different player. Ready for their retaliation.

The female Draconian Guardian was the last one standing, and she was pelted with attack after attack, she wobbled, falling to one knee as she struggled to breath, in her condition - there was no way she could attack. She turned her head to look up at the powerful 8 headed Orochi, and in pained gasping breaths, it almost sounded as though she gave a plea for help.

The Orochi huffed, its many eyes on its many heads focusing on Crozeph as it raised its weapons, taking a single step forward to strike into the boy. Knocking him clean off his feet. The Orochi was satisfied with its single, powerful attack - and stepped back.

Another Draconian Guardian had fallen, but, in turn two had revived. A single male and female guardian remained. However, it seemed just as the male guardian revived, the little blonde one attacked - seemingly from nowhere. Striking it hard and unaware. The Guardian shook its head and stepped in line with the female, ready to attack.

The female, more focused manage to land a powerful  blow on Shark. Wiping out 6 of his HP. She, along with her male counterpart retreated back, as the Orochi stepped forward.

It silently took a step back, again behind its guardians. Sticking one blade into the ground. The other, pointed at Crozeph, before it too rested into the ground. The Orochi was indicating his next target.

The first Female Draconian Guardian revived, seemingly from nowhere - she gave a gurgled war cry, as though the action of being revived had pained her. She was not ready to fight this turn, next time however - she would attack with pure brute force, coupled with the revival of her companions.

The Orochi's heads seemed displeased as its guardians were made short work of - they still had another life, one had already revived- and the others would quickly follow suit. They hadn't managed to break the defensive forces...One of the Orochi's heads turned to look at the large barrel to its side. It was marked as an immortal object. The heads chuckled in unison as they turned back to the players.

This time focusing on Shark, the player who seemed to idle and miss his chance to strike. With one mighty step forward the Orochi raised its Tachi blades high over its head and bore them down on the man. Shark was hit with a brutal force, large red gashes appearing on his form as his health dropped. The Orochi took that single step to keep behind its ever loyal Draconian Guardian force.

The poison was doing its fair share of damage, these players- they were strong, but they would not enjoy an easy battle.

As a second guardian went down, a big red number appeared above its head - starting at 5 it slowly began to count down.

The first Male Guardian seemed to respond to Mari's taunts - it lunged at her, and its weapons tore into her skin, despite her best attempts to block it - the attack was nearly critical, sadly - it seemed as though her armor defence was great. After such an attack her hit points only went down a single, minute HP.

The second Female Guardian Had attempted to attack in Unison with her partner; however she seemed to loose her bearing and missed Mari by mere inches. She slinked back to her position, clearly dejected that she had missed.

The Orochi did not attack in unison like it had previously done so; instead - the room had slowly began to fill up with ne noxious purple gas leaking from the nostrils of its many heads; it was almost suffocating. Poisoning all the players present. The heads chuckled in unison as the players began to cough and choke.

The First Female guardian angrily screeched as its male counterpart was defeated a second time.  It drew its large weapon and went to attack Mari, however it fell back as Shark knocked heavily into it. The Draconian Guardian gave a woeful gargle as she fell down to one knee, breathing heavily. It almost seemed as though the guardian was mourning the death of the first.

The second male guardian seemed more focused than before, it growled as it's beady eyes landed on Rebekah. It turned its snout to the second female Guardian and gave a solemn nod. The two seemed to have a sound understanding and charged toward Rebekah - weapons held high...

Oh how mistakes were made...Orochi grinned. It seemed they weren't working as a team, and that - would be their downfall. The Orochi watched, as his guardians - unlike the players worked as a team. All targeting the one player, the last player to attack. Rebekah. The Guardians, and the Orochi all fell down upon Rebekah at once. As the Guardians reached Rebekah, the Orochi joined them. The two attacks combining. Combining their attack in a single, very powerful blow. The girl had tough armour, and it managed to mitigate a total of 3 damage from the all powerful combined attack. However, it still left a heavy chunk out of her HP. The Blonde girl was knocked back, and as she stumbled the mobs fell back. 

The Orochi's heads all snickered, as all 8 pairs of eyes glinted with beady desire and confidence.

The Battle would only get harder from here.

The Female Draconian Guardian easily dodged Crozeph's hit, it snickered as it charged forward, bringing its two large Katana's over Crozeph's head - dealing a critical hit to the boy. It's cackling laughter echoed in the boss room.

The Second and third Draconian Guardians joined in the laughter of their comrade - all to amused at the seemingly perfect hit that had landed on Crozeph. Their gruff voices shrill, and cackling. It was clear they felt superior to the mere four players before them. As though their attacks did nothing, and seemingly...they did. Rebekah too, had missed. Luckily, Shark managed to land a blow on one of the female guardians. Who upon being hit stopped laughing, and instead hissed at Zero.

The Orochi itself, stood silently. Observing - as though it was waiting...learning. Watching the attack patterns of the players below. Little tiny things. Almost like ants. Among its 8 heads, each seemed to be focused on a player or guardian, It took a deep breath and exhaled, clouds of noxious smelling red gas blew out from its mouths and nostrils. Shrouding the field for a few seconds before it slowly began to clear. The Guardians seemed to take note of this, and stopped laughing - instead - focusing on the long, long battle at hand.

The door opens to a large cavern in a perfect circular shape, the ceiling is only slightly taller than the boss, filled with paper lanterns that light up the entire room in an ominous light blue:  despite this it is still very, very hard to see. The floor has large stones, larger than an average sized adult, littered all over the ground. The boss stands at the center of room and four dragon humanoids, measuring about the same height as the stones, stand in front of it, two males and two females.

An immense eight headed red dragon with a small forest growing on its back. It holds a Tachi sword in the grasp of its front right claw, and has a large Katana embedded in its tail. It constantly emits a nauseous red gas from its mouth that smells of dark rum and blood, and stands firmly on its two rear claws, with its tail swinging gently from side to side. There are two large kegs, one on each side, that emanate a similar red gas as the boss itself.

The mobs wait patiently for the players foolish enough to enter to attack.....
