The boy preferred to watch the workings of the world sometimes. It allowed him to understand things better. Soon enough, one such denizen of planet Earth strayed into his vision. A boy with very unusual hair was taking a casual stroll through the newly dampened ground, although judging by the state of him his stroll had consisted of wondering through the rainfall as well. "Yo, are you alright?" The unfamiliar player had noticed him. Sol gazed with interest up at his fellow member of the male gender, smiling pleasantly at him. "Me, oh I'm fine. Thought I'd take some shelter from the rain. Didn't want to get wet." The sandy haired gamer that sort of friendly charisma to his tone that made people instantly feel comfortable around him, in most cases anyway. Not everyone liked the friendly in society. "Might want to try it sometime." Sol gestured humorously to the boy's damp appearance with the same friendly tone.

LD: 20 [+1 MAT]Material gathering officially completed. Sol allowed himself a triumphant smile once all the materials that SAI had asked him to retrieve were in his grasp. The boy held up his great sword in front of him as if in a battle stance, and studied the slightly dull steel with interest. He tried to imagine holding his new sword instead, having a more powerful weapon to brandish. "Humph." Sol snorted at his own childishness and quickly deposited the sword back in his inventory. There were no monsters around so he may as well just travel back without it.

The journey back into the starting city was considerably uneventful and a little boring. Solaris was almost sorry that he actually hadn't run into a few angry boars to kill. It would have been a nice distraction, even if it was an unnecessary one. As soon as the sandy haired boy walked back into SAI's forge, he was surprised to see the girl repeating exactly the same movements that she had been earlier although he wasn't sure why he was shocked. NPC's couldn't think for themselves and had limited abilities. They only mimicked people as far as their programming would allow. "I have what you asked of me." The swordsman stated with a chilling lack of emotion to his tone. It sounded almost dead. As before, SAI didn't seem to care. "Brilliant, but that's not all you're going to need for this weapon." She explained light heartedly, still hammering away at the same old sword. Why was he not surprised. "I'm going to need some gem stones to put in the hilt for you. So, I need you to go back out there and find two rubies and three garnet stones please." The NPC smiled at him sweetly, pointing towards the door as if to say So go gettum! Sol simply nodded and headed back out of the shop, a little disappointed there were more things he would now have to find.

LD: 4Apparently he'd gotten cocky. The next hour of his searching brought nothing. Sol pushed back the superstition of having 'jinxed' his luck by thinking this was going to be over soon. He was a logical guy, but sometimes coincidences could be misleading. The sandy haired boy let out a long, tiresome sigh and once again ruffed up his hair, playing with a few golden strands of it as he went on his way. Sol had taken to carrying his great sword in one hand when not fighting in order to try and strengthen his arms a little. After every little while he'd switch which arm was carrying his weapon to stop himself getting tired.

It seemed that luck was destined to be on his side. Solaris had been expecting his trip out into the wilderness to be exceptionally long and arduous, but he was finding what he needed pretty fast. He'd already picked up two more lumps of metal from SAI from around the grassy plains and now only needed three more. Maybe she didn't intend for this journey to be so hard after all. I misjudged how long this was going to take. The boy mused quietly to himself as he walked, wondering how much longer he would have to search.

The pitter patter of raindrop against rooftop could be heard throughout the starting city on floor one. The sky had clouded over with shadowy black clouds and a steady stream of icy water droplets had begun to fall lightly against the cobblestones. It wasn't tipping it down, nor was it drizzling. Solaris shuddered from the cold and hugged his knees to his chest for extra warmth. The sandy haired player had taken refuge underneath a nearby shop covering, waiting patiently for the rain to stop so he could get on and actually do some grinding. Eventually the rainfall died down, but Solaris did not move from his spot straight away.

After a nice long nap, Solaris was feeling considerably more refreshed. The boy stretched out his arms in a long sleepy yawn and shifted rather reluctantly from his comfortable position against the cozy warm bark and began to start his search up again. Sol was very pleased to find two items waiting for him to discover them next to the very tree roots he'd been resting under. Fortune appeared to be favouring him today. Alas, the time for resting was over. Time to go find some more stuff. He needed this weapon pretty badly.

It took him a little longer this time to find exactly what he needed. Sol found himself turning over quite a few rocks before the metal presented itself to him. Eventually though, there it was, lying right in the open for him to find. Seeing as the heat was getting to him a little, the slightly exhausted guy decided to take a light break from his gathering. Sol ambled sleepily over to a near by tree and slid down into the comfortable shade underneath it, slipping into a peaceful slumber.

The sandy haired player moved on quietly from the shady patch in the bushes onto a much more interesting looking patch of ground a little further away, and once again managed to pick up some metal from the dirt. Things were going relatively well. No monsters had showed up to try and test him yet, which was certainly a positive thing. Sol sighed wearily and wiped a small bead of sweat from his brow. It was surprisingly warm for Floor 1 down here today. It was usually a little cooler. The boy began to whistle a mindless tune as he went about his business looking for more materials.

Sol left his sword on a close by patch of grass just in case any monsters showed up even though the horizon was clear of them at the moment. He didn't want to be caught unawares by a boar and have no means of defence. He began to rifle painstakingly through the near by bushes, rustling through the dirt in order to find some scrap of metal that he could bring back to SAI. For a while his search yielded no results, but eventually Solaris was rewards with something and he placed the item in his inventory, feeling satisfied that his first search had been met with at least some success. Now, the trick was to repeat the process.

Apparently his order was going to be a little more complicated than previously expected. Two handed great swords needed more metal than most one handed blades, so SAI had sent him out to go and retrieve ten lumps of metal of any kind so she could get to work on the weapon. Maybe he should have turned on the charm after all. No matter, he would get what he needed eventually.
Solaris trekked quietly through the empty city streets and out of the city safe zone and began to make his way through the grassy landscape that covered most of floor one. Being only level one, getting attacked by any monster could be a death sentence out here, but this risk had to be taken. If he couldn't get a better sword then he was never going to be able to walk around anywhere and he'd have to stay in the safe zones for the rest of his time here. The sandy haired player equipped his large two handed great sword and began to get to work.

The sun was shining over the starting city, a good day for a quest. Solaris's bright green eyes slid slowly and carefully over the empty streets, methodically scanning every single shop sign for what he was looking for. The majority of the shops here were unfamiliar to him, the untidy scrawls upon the signs almost illegible in some cases. The young man frowned when the place he was looking for did not appear. No matter, it had to be around here somewhere. Sol's hand reached subconsciously up to the sandy mess of hair upon his head and began to ruffle it up with slight bewilderment. He could have sworn- Ah hah! Right at the end of the windy street was a sign he had missed! SAI's FORGE. We're open come on in. A small satisfied smirk replaced the trade mark frown upon the player's handsome face as he began to stride purposefully towards the place he'd been seeking.
A little bell tinkled as Solaris lightly pressed the flat of his palm against the door and gently pushed it open. It was a small, quaint sort of tinkle that reeked of cute but inexpensive, just like the rest of the shop he noticed. Behind the wooden counter was a sort of back area to the shop where the workings of a rather outdated looking forge was taking place. A young girl who looked about twelve or thirteen was hammering purposefully away at an iron hot blade with a rather ancient looking tool. SAI, he supposed.
"Excuse me?" Sol prompted politely, his tone cool yet cordial. The young NPC looked up suddenly at the newcomer, clearly surprised by seeing somebody there. Her behaviour mimicked the stance of a person that had been so hard at work they hadn't heard the bell. "Well hello there! How can I help you?" SAI asked politely with a cute bubbly sort of smile. Sol considered turning on the charm for a moment for the interaction to improve conversation, but he then remembered that this girl wasn't real so he didn't really need to pretend to be friendly. "I'm looking for a sword. I heard you could help me out." The sandy haired boy responded, almost tonelessly now. "Well, I can certainly help you with that." SAI grinned innocently at him, but Sol had a nasty suspicion she was going to send him off to do something complicated.

SOLARIS || MAXIMUS OWENS☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠â˜Â» Username: Solaris» Real name: Maximus David Owens» Nick Names: Sol, Max, Maxy» Age: 18» Gender: Male» Sexuality: Heterosexual» Height: 5ft9» Weight: 148 lbs» Hair colour: light sandy brown» Hair style: shaggy, uncut» Eye colour: green» Scars/Body mods: two scars run across his back from falling out of a tree and scraping his skin on a picket fence. Anotherscar on his hand from accidentally slicing himself with a knife whilst trying to cut a carrot.» Full Description: Max is a boy of just below average height and about average weight. His body is not enviably toned, nor is it particularly weak unshapely. Although he is a little stronger than he appears, being able to wield a two handed greatsword without falling over. Max's hair isn't exceptionally long, but it is rather shaggy and wild looking and falls into his everfocussed bright green eyes. He seems to wear a permanent frown and looks constantly displeased. He is an attractive fellow despitehis inability to smile though.» Country of origin: Ireland» Country of residence: England» Languages spoken: English» Parents: Miranda and Simon Owens [ages 53 and 54]» Siblings: Sarah Owens [Age 13]☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠â˜Â» History: Maximus David Owens was born on October 31st, 2004 to account Simon Owens and his wife Miranda whoworked part time as a painter. He was the eldest of two children, the younger being his little sister Sarah. Even as a child, Maxwas always the thoughtful one, thinking before he acted and being considerate of others. He was polite, well tempered anddisturbingly calm at all times. He never put up a fuss, never threw any strops. Max was a detached little boy who found itdifficult to interact with the real world. Video games became a way for him to pretend to be somebody else and actuallyexpress himself. The sandy haired teen would often stay shut away in his bedroom for days on end, much to his parents alarmand dismay. Sarah seemed to be the only person to hold his interest long enough to coax her elder brother out of the virtualworld. When Max discovered SAO, he was instantly intrigued and bought the game. Upon discovering the awful death gamesituation, the boy handled it relatively well, although he would much have preferred to keep his original avatar. The onlydrawback is not seeing his little sister anymore, which he misses.» Personality: Max has always been extremely detached, even from a very young age. He finds it hard to empathise withpeople and can be quite selfish, be it unintentionally. He is exceptionally polite and well mannered and comes across veryconsiderate and well cultured in his discussion, but this is mostly an illusion. He hates conflict and prefers to leave the dirtywork to others, although in the virtual world he seems to have taken more of a shine to it. This boy always thinks before heacts, although he can sometimes become a little too caught up in the details in what he should be doing and ends up puttingthings off and procrastinating.Despite being appearing a little apathetic, Max is not at all unfeeling and is not a sociopath. He just takes a little longer torealise what a particular emotion is and sometimes does not recognise what he is feeling at first. When the occasion calls for it,he can be sweet, funny and maybe even charming if you're lucky. He's quite the social charmer, even if his heart is a little cold.» Virtues:Patient » Max knows when to wait, and he knows when to watch. He is not easily frustrated and is capable of sitting and waiting forthe thing that he needs to appear, although he is also not overly hesitant and will not wait to do what needs to be done. He is awarethat good things come to those who wait, which makes him exceptionally good at having the fortitude to go out grinding all day long.Smart » This boy is a clever one. His intellect can come in incredibly useful on a variety of occasions. Especially when it comes topeople. Well, less of people and more of conversations. He knows how to get information from people without them realising it and tomake others feel comfortable around him. However, while this might be a virtue for him, Max tends to use his abilities for unscrupulouspurposes and can't see they're unethical.Does the right thing eventually » Max is not a bad person, he just happens to do bad things without realising he's making a mistake. When push comes to shove, he'll always side with the good guys and make the right decision, even if it's with a little mental kickingand screaming. Whilst he doesn't really understand why, he would always leap to help somebody whose life was in trouble with amonster.» Flaws:Devious » Darkness holds its place in Max's heart, even if isn't completely predominant. He is prone to bad behaviour and is quitewilling to play around with people's feelings if it means getting what he wants. He's still the bad boy and tends to leave a trail ofwreckage wherever he walks, usually the hearts of people who trusted him.Arrogant » Trusting in your own abilities is one thing, but Max has a slightly overinflated egotistical view of himself and even though itdoesn't always display itself in his conversations because he's smart enough to hide it, this is one of his most serious flaws. He thinkshimself more important than the majority of humanity.Sadistic » This is the nastiest side to Max's character. His general lack of attachment with most people has resulted in a lack of caringfor their importance, and he rather enjoys inflicting pain upon others. Max finds it amusing to hurt people he deems less than worthy oflife, which are usually the people who make him angry.☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠â˜Â» Profession: Nothing [Alchemist eventually]» Stats: [DMG: 2] [ACC: 0] [EVA: 0] [MIT: 0]SkillsNon-combat:»Passive:»Combat:»Weapon skills:» Two Handed Straight Sword [Rank 1]InventoryWeapons/Tools:» Two Handed Straight Sword [basic]Clothing:» Basic cloth clothingArmour:»Col:» 0 Col☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠☠â˜Roleplays» Complete // None» In Progress // None» Incomplete // NoneSP SPENT // 2 SP AVAILABLE // 0Just as a small note, my other account is Thorrissia, so I'm the same person.
