I know it's silly, coming from a distant stranger like me, but it just feels right to offer the little honors.  Don't mourn, brother, but instead celebrate the life she lived.

Then a cup of wine will be what I leave out.

Everybody has their own traditions where these things are concerned, of course, but that's been one way that my family has honored the fallen for as long as I can remember.  Years ago, when my father lost the first of his brothers, we actually shared a bottle of said brother's favorite whiskey that had been left in his home.  Poured a shot and left it sitting on the railing of his back porch overnight-- obviously, it was empty by the time we collected it at dawn, but not because any of us had taken it!  So, a question for you: did your Nanna share with you the info on her favorite drink?

You have my condolences for your loss.  When next I open a bottle, I'll pour a shot in her honor.

I always find myself questioning whether that statistic includes the myriad tiny, controlled burns that we use to limit the numbers of huge, uncontrollable nightmares.  We finally figured that one out, after all, didn't we?  Torching the forest a little bit at a time does near-miraculous good for slowing down the pace of fuel buildup.

Congratulations on surviving another full orbit of our planet around its parent body!

The problem for me, at least so far, is that the character himself is socially awkward enough as it is.  He can't make himself try to make friends if he feels like he's going to be a burden to them.  At some point, I'm going to slow down as he starts to interact with people, but that's not going to be until he can actually contribute.

So, really, the reason for my meteoric rise (as pointed out by Piera here) is mostly due to the fact that I chose the solo route-- because multi-player threads, by necessity, go much more slowly, and they tend to be mutually exclusive.  Post-counts skyrocket when you're only waiting on yourself.

Yeah, I'm not sure how I'm going to handle it when I finally start RPing with others.  >.<  Solos I can just chain, and finish one or two a day if I'm not working.  Keeping track of several at once is no big deal.  Avoiding paradoxes?  Whole other ball game.

And here I felt bad about going to bed with a single thread unfinished.

At least I know that here, I don't have to worry about a DM demanding that the entire party of level-10 characters make a Fort save with a DC of 50 or die.  Punk didn't even have the nerve to just say "Rocks fall, you all die."  He had to give some illusion of hope.

I'm pretty sure that if Aetharan bites it, it's going to be either one of the dumbest moments on the site, or one of the most epic.  Not sure which yet.  Either way, I do feel sorry for you both that you lost characters.

Well, if you look at the lore from the anime, it kind of makes sense.  Of the 10k trapped, there were over 2k fatalities in the first month, before they'd even cleared the Floor 1 boss.  Over the next 23 months, slightly under 2k more die.

If things are balanced similarly to the original lore's implied difficulty level, then we should be looking at 2 out of every 10 starter characters dying before level 5, while another 2 go out either to PK or Heroic Sacrifice some time before they hit level 60.

Kinda figured 130 was an exaggeration, since that'd be a pretty clear case of 'already dead'.  Just wanted to make sure you knew where the red lines were and all.

Commentary on how I can make the writing style more entertaining would be appreciated, while you guys are stalking.  If he's going to be the next mayor of the loony bin, I can at least strive to make the citizenry chuckle.

I think I'm technically stuck until I can get a mod to lock the last one, or I'd suggest that Aeth needs to sit down and have a drink or seventy with somebody before he goes back to soloing.  xD

If it stays over 102ºF for more than a couple of days, or goes above 105ºF at all, I seriously recommend getting some medical attention.  Trust me.  Oh, and add "I don't need my glasses right now" or "I suddenly need corrective lenses", whichever is appropriate, to the list of signs that it's time to go bug a doctor.

I swear, I'm tempted to do a classical "Hooded figure whose face is completely obscured" thing real quick.  Just grab a black pen, sketch and scan, use it for every single character I ever roll on the site.

Actually, now that I think about it, how much of the bucket-o-crazy's RP have you guys read?

It's all about the crazy.  As for profile pics, if I could draw something that didn't make me want to set it on fire instead of just throwing it in the waste bin, I might fix that.  My artistic skills aren't so much rusty as they are completely corroded through.
