  1. "Huh? Oh" I opened my eyes, standing up, "That was fast, so now that you're a tailor, what are you gonna name your shop?" I walked over to the door, opening it for Elul to proceed through before exiting myself. "How about the 'Cozy Coat,' its short, has a bit of alliteration, and I assume you'll be selling at least one coat. Its just a suggestion though, you don't have to do that, I just wanted to give you an idea." I looked up, somehow I managed to lead us to the teleport gate. "Anyhow, I suppose I need to go get some food, I'll see you later, just message me when you want to see me." I waved as I headed into the marketplace, "Love you sis. See you later."

  2. I looked around the shop, left by my sister and Whit I had nothing better to do than shop. Though a quick scan showed that the prices were something I couldn't afford, but it didn't mean I couldn't look, right? I walked up to stack of shirts, picking it up and extending it across my arm, the purple shirt looked weird across my arm, so I folded it back up and placed it back in its stack. I sighed, this was why I didn't go shopping often, it cost money, and I could never decide what to get. I walked over to a chair and leaned back, closing my eyes and trying to sleep while I waited for Elul to finish up.

I shifted my hands through the ground, looking for some more of those stones that could be sown into some kind of clothing. I sighed, getting off my knees and brushing the dirt off with my hands. "No I said unless you were born in-" I couldn't even finish my statement before he launched into his second statement, "Who's Anthony Johnson- did you just lick Elul?" I watched as the kid ran off, happy to be free from Elul's reign. I walked over to Elul, her face had contorted into one that I hadn't seen since I killed a millipede in front of her. I guess she wasn't expecting to be licked, "well, I suppose now we know not to grab onto him, huh?" I bent down, "Anyway, I've got two things as you requested, I'll give them to you so you can hold onto them." I put the materials in her hands, before going off to look for more.

I laughed as Elul dragged Whit away from a boar, pulling the teen like he was nothing. "Actually, she might be older than you, she's sixteen and her birthday is on Christmas, I remember because she always got double presents from santa" I made sure not to say santa sarcastically in case Elul still thought he was real, I could never remember whether she still believed in him or not,  "so unless you're seventeen or your birthday happens to be on a part of the year that takes place from now to Christmas, I'm pretty sure Elul has seniority over you." I looked down, scooping up a vine and placing it in my inventory. I made sure to stick my tongue out at Whit, hoping to mess with him a bit.

I put my sword away, glad I didn't have to intervene. Yet Elul seemed continuously worried, or atleast enough for a medic bag to manifest into her hand. Elul went right to work, patching up the two red holes in Whit, leaving him with a look similar to a warrior that had been in a battle before, I chuckled at the idea, this kid couldn't be older than sixteen, and yet here Elul was, treating that boar like it had been a suicide bomber and Whit had just saved her and required utmost care. "He's right, we need to get back to gathering." I turned my attention to the ground, looking around for any type of string like object. I sighed, there was none to be found so far.

I looked down at yet another wet rock, no wait, I looked down and picked up a rock that was blue, yet it looked like a teardrop. I sighed, it wasn't something that would be used in sewing, but it could always be used in designing something. I put it into my inventory, turning my attention to someone screaming in fury. I turned and saw Elul riding a boar like a bull only to get knocked on her back. I rushed over, looking her over to make sure she was okay, I drew my sword, getting ready to join in and kill this boar.

I reached down, picking up a rock, it looked shiny, but closer inspection was that it was wet from the dew of the morning. I sighed and tossed it to the side, my sister was talking to Whit about something, but I couldn't understand them from the distance I was from them. I sighed, when I had heard of the death counts from this game, I thought it was because there would be a lot of fighting, but now I realize the people who had died so far were just careless. So far the most dangerous thing was antagonizing someone higher than you, I could see how people might attack each other, but I couldn't see how it could be over two-thousand people could have killed each other. "Well, they do say video games can rot your brain." Whit seemed on edge, and he seemed to be staring at a boar. What's he planning to do?

"Whoa" I watched from a distance as Whit had decided to become a human bowling ball, trying to destroy a tree with his head. Surprisingly, he got up like all that had happened was him getting attacked by a puppy. He even had enough energy to run over to Elul and me, I was taken back by this, how could this kid be so full of energy after hitting his head like that. "Geez kid, are you alright" I quickly raised the hair over his forehead to check for bruising, I was surprised to find none. Fluffing his hair back down to its natural state, "Well you seem okay, just be more careful next time."

I turned to Elul, "I think we should split up, but we should always keep each other in view, twenty yards at the most."

  9. "Ugh" I turned to a beeping noise, bringing my fist down on it to shut it up. "Geez" I opened my eyes, seeing an orange circle with a chat box on it.

Oh right, I'm in the game.

I tapped on the circle, finding it to be from Elul. I skimmed through it, waving it off as I sat up. "Blegh, stupid hair" I rubbed my eyes, realizing I had just insulted a peice of hair that had wondered into my mouth. I looked over Elul's bed, its occupant was just as the letter said, out doing that quest. I kicked the covers off and stretched, I seriously needed better clothes to sleep in, maybe once Elul had become a tailor I would ask her to make me some kind of nightwear. I hopped off the bed and left the inn, tossing the key to the innkeeper as I left. The town was somehow already bussling with noise as I opened my map.

"Let's see, Elul is... there." I quickly found the dot near the exits to one of the city, swiping away the map as I began my walk towards Elul.

After making my way through the market place I spotted Elul and caught up with her by picking up my speed. "Hey Elul, so what exactly are we doing. You said something about learning to be a tailor, but I don't see how I could help."

  10. I watched as Elul turned herself into a mummy with the blankets, I assumed she was afraid I would get up in the middle of the night and startle her, but no, I was tired from the race. I reached over to lit lamp and tapped it, sure enough it turned off just like Whit said. I retracted my arm and laid on my back, the days events had left me feeling quite lucky, within my first day here I had found my sister and her friend, making me think that I should invest in a lottery while my luck lasted. I waved the idea off, trying to close my eyes and fall asleep.

  11. I face palmed at hearing the announcement of a tie, way to trust a Saren with pressure, I should've asked a land mine and it probably would've delt with it better. I sighed, "Well I suppose since we both lost, we have to pay up someway. Sure, what quest are we gonna do Elul?" I bent down to her level, "please tell me it'll be easy."

I looked up after hearing her answer, catching the flying keys and waved goodbye to Whit, "bye. Alright Saren, let's head upstairs, go to bed, and meet up in the morning for that quest." I began to climb the stairs, the key was inscribed with, 2F 4. It wasn't far from the stairs, only the second door on the right. I flicked through my menu real quick sending a friend request to Elul before opening the door with the key.

The room was a standard inn room with two beds, one for each of us I suppose. I shut the door behind us and climbed into bed, "goodnight Elul."

  12. I continued my sprint, staying slightly ahead of Whit as we ran through the street, getting the attention of several npcs and players alike. I turned to Whit, a creepy smile had stretched across his face while he ran. He was surprisingly fast for someone shorter than me, and while Elul was small, she probably still weighed him down like a bookbag- Turn! I grimaced as the turn slowed me down enough for Whit to get ahead of me, and the Inn was right there! I poured on the speed and began to catch up slowly and surely, reaching his side by the time we hit the doors. I stumbled against a wall and breathed heavily, looking at the bent over Whit, exhausted from the race as well.

"Elul" I attempted to catch the attention of my sister, "who won?" I made sure I got her attention before waving my hands the same way I'd move my fingers when tickling her, hoping to remind her who would be staying in the same room as her.

  13. I lost my grip on Elul as she ran away, seeming frightened by the idea of being next to me. She had procceeded to use Whit as cover, climbing onto his back for protection.

"Alright" I grinned at the idea of a challenge, getting out of my seat and striding over to the door next to him. I got in a position to run, "how about we add more to the pile, hmm? Loser has to buy the winner a peice of gear." I hoped he had forgotten about how I just joined and had no money as of yet, even if I lost I could still pay him back eventually. "Anyways, on three

    Two

    One.

I hesitated for a second before saying, "GO!" I quickly pushed off from the door, sprinting as hard as I could to keep up with the brunette beside me.

  14. I finished off my tea before getting up, only to realize I had a little girl sleeping in my lap. Elul was extremely cute, and sadly I have a soft spot for her. I know she's older than she looks, but for some reason I'd always feel like the older sis, no matter how old she got.

I looked down at the girl in my lap, I didn't want to wake her up. I sighed, Whit was right, it'd probably be best. I whispered in her ear, "hey Elul wake up or I'll tickle you again. Alright here I go," I waited a few seconds before lifting her arm and going in for the kill.

(Elul I'll let you determine how long and or if Elul wakes up.)

  15. "Oh" I looked down at the limp girl in my lap, "I didn't mean for her to conk out on me. I guess now I remember why I didn't tickle her often." I sighed, crossing my arms over Elul- it sounded weird to call her that, so as to keep her from tiliting over to one of the sides. "I bet next time she'll sit with you instead." I laughed a little at the idea of my sis being afraid to sleep at night when I could possibly tickle her. I looked out the window, the sun was setting soon and the lights that dotted the streets turned on as if to further convince her to find a place to sleep.

"So is there some kind of place to sleep, like a hotel or something, I honestly don't like the idea of sleeping on a park bench again."

  16. I giggled a little bit at the sound of Saren saying something into her cup. "Sorry Saren, but he's right, your not allowed to be that cute. I'm good, I'll just get my own. Could I get sweet tea, thanks." I quickly moved my hand down underneath her arm and swiped my fingers against her in an attempt to get her to laugh. I looked up at Saren's friend after trying to tickle her for a few seconds, listening to his teaching, he was odder than I remembered, like he had multiple brains telling him to do different things. He was the complete opposite of Elul, she was quiet and kind, yet this kid seemed unafraid to say anything. I opened my menu as he demonstrated, rifling through it as he finished his lesson.

"Oh well you see our mother is german and our father is jewish." This boy definitely was odd, it was like he had tried to spell White, but had forgotten to type the e. I looked at the menu that popped up, accepting the friend request. "Did you forget to type the letter e into your name or did you just like how Whit sounded?"

  17. I was a bit surprised at how quickly sis had moved from her seat, I quickly embraced her in a hug though.

"I'm sorry, did you just call Saren by her last name?" I was a little confused why he would call her that, but shrugged it off. "My name's Maria, and yes I just joined last night." I looked down at Saren, wiping away my tears as I patted her head, "why don't we sit down?" I moved to slide into the seat closest to the wall, I patted the spot next to me for Saren to sit down as I turned to the boy. "Thank you, you've grown a lot since I last saw you, but unfortunately I can't recall your name. The reason why I came was so to see if I could help free people from the inside, specifically Saren. Speaking of which, dad says he loves you."

  18. My nose slammed into a wall as the boy let me go, we were in some kind of a restaurant, an empty one from what I could see. I had given out a "gah" out of pure reflex, only to realize that my nose became numb instead of actual pain. I peeled myself off, a hexagon showing up and telling me the wall was an immortal object. I turned, ready to give the boy an evil glare, but someone else caught my eye.

    Saren.

When I had last saw her she was lying motionless in the hospital, a helmet covering her eyes as the only sounds she produced was her small breaths. I couldn't move, seeing her like that in the hospital was akin to seeing her in a coffin, something I hoped to never see in my lifetime, but here she was with a cup in hand and without that stupid helmet over her head.

That boy commented something about having an emotional breakdown and he was right, my body began crying against my will. It just felt great to see that she was still alive, like a truck had been lifted off my chest.

  19. The boy had caused some sort of screen to appear in front of him by flicking his right wrist downward. He had clicked on a word that made me realize who he was, this was the little boy that had been friends with my sister, I couldn't remember his name, but the fact that he had clicked on my last name in some kind of friends list allowed me to wave off any doubts I'd had about him knowing my sis. He had pulled up a map witch had a small dot pulsating, I had barely realized what it meant before he flicked it away.

"Oof" my right arm had been pulled away from me at shocking speeds, "hey slow down."

This boy looked wimpy, but for some reason he was faster than he looked and forced me to stumble at first. I gritted my teeth, I wasn't sure if the boy would continue to drag me if I somehow managed to slip, but hopefully he was nice enough to stop.

  20. Well this, maybe I should've thought this out a bit more.

I looked around, there was well over a thousand people in the plaza, it might be a while be a while before I could find Saren. I looked around, there were several merchants in the area, many bartering with two to six people at a time. I looked around, everything was quite medieval, I kind of figured from the title of the game. Still, it was like I had stepped into another world or like I had just stepped out of a time machine. I made my way out of the plaza, last I had checked, sis was still alive in the hospital, so chances were she would be in a safe place.

I felt a tap from behind, facing a brunette who looked familiar somehow, but I couldn't place my finger on it. He had froze at the sight of my face, forcing me to raise an eyebrow. "Um, hello" I lowered myself to his level and waved a hand in his face, "well, since I've got you here, you wouldn't happen to know where a girl who's about as tall as a sixth grader, has brown hair, and blue eyes would you?"

    Gender: Female
Height: Six feet and three inches

    About: History/personality
Maria is the older child of a two children, divorced parent, family. After being forced to live with her father, Maria stepped up to be the mother of the family, learning to stand up for herself and her sister. While taking a blow from a child generally five years younger than her wasn’t hard, Maria tried to teach her younger sister to stand up for herself, and failed. Maria became the protector of the timid girl and learned the tactics of street fighting.

On one fateful day she heard of people being trapped in a game, thinking nothing of it. Upon reaching her house she had discovered that her little sister was one of the unlucky players to be trapped. Tired of sitting idly by waiting for someone to figure out how to rescue the trapped players, she delved in the black market, looking for a certain item.

After a long awaited time she acquired it, the nervegear and a copy of SAO. Some idiot had wanted to preserve it as some sort of historical item, but after persuading him that she was doing an experiment to try to disable the not so fun parts in the nervegear she obtained it. With one last wish for her dad to figure out a way to find a way to get in the game and help her, she plugged in.

“Well sis, I guess you’ll finally get your wish of me learning how to play a game with you.”

“How do I turn this on?”
    Virtues:
Protector- Maria has a soft spot for cute people, often because they remind her of her sister. Maria can’t stand idly by while someone gets picked on, only backing down from taking a blow if she dislikes the bullied individual or thinks they can handle themselves. Maria will often look down on others who are against someone she likes, punching them in the chin if her fuse is lit. For her, a bonded person’s life comes first before others.

Swift Thinker- Maria is no stranger to living life on the edge of her toes, rarely going in with a plan. Maria prefers to make a plan on the fly, testing her enemies ability first before judging them and planning around their attacks. She prefers not to judge a blade by its shine, rather how the wielder can actually use it. Unless of course it’s a giant with a hammer.

Calm- Maria is rather laid back, preferring to lay back instead of rushing through things. She could care less what people do as long as they don’t bother her, or hurt someone she is fond of. Maria dislikes people who are constantly moving when nothing is needed to be done. In a way she is lazy, but not to the point where she won’t get the job done.

    Flaws:
Short Fuse- Maria has a short temper, while able to withstand someone being stupid on accident, someone intentionally being chaotic or arguing with her without listening to reason can earn a punch from her vicious right hook. After having her top blown, she’ll beat up the offender without listening to reason, or at least give them a lecture. Only two things can calm her down, someone able to convince her to calm down, or victory. Maria will force herself to sigh and turn the other cheek if she thinks the other person is just ignorant.

Sucker to cute things- As stated above, Maria is a sucker for anything small or cute. Maria is unable to resist an effective puppy dog eyes or someone using crocodile tears to get their way. Maria will of course be pissed if someone uses this to their advantage, though will refrain from doing more than yell at them about it. Maria won’t admit this weakness, preferring to keep a tough image of herself and dodging questions related to it.

Stubborn- Maria is something akin to a boulder, hard to move, but once started she can be hard to stop. Maria gets irritated when a task is left uncompleted for a long time, complaining to others when she can’t finish a given task. While Maria likes to relax, she doesn’t care for those so lazy that they quit midway into something.
