  1. Honestly that was the reason my group and I stopped playing after only a couple posts... We saw how long it took all the veterans to reach their current levels... and we realized that even if we grind our asses off and managed to make it to that level in said time, the veterans will still be leagues ahead of us...

Though we really don't have much experience on this site, we all agree that things are unbalanced.

All of us agree that Calrex's idea is a pretty neat one. It gives us new players a chance to catch up to the veterans and feel more like equals.

  2. "Yeah that does make a lot of sense..." Blaster agreed, accepting both Alfred's and Luquier's ideas. It would definitely be a lot easier on them if they took turns. It also meant that they could stay out there longer and train. "We should fight three at a time, then the one with the lowest Health at the end of the fight should stay back and recover. As far as the location, that shouldn't be a problem. We should start heading back before it gets dark, though... I'm sure the mobs will be stronger at night." Now that they had a set plan of attack, Blaster turned around and let the world map fade away. Without any hesitation, he began to walk towards the northern edge of the Town of Beginnings where their first journey awaited them. Looking back, he noticed that everyone was still standing around.

"Well... you guys coming? We should probably get started as soon as we can..." Blaster insisted as he continued to walk away from the group.

Starting now, We should roll the dice to determine how far we are from our destination. I will start it on my next turn

  3. Turning around, he noticed that Alex had entered the game shortly after him, teasing him about playing with his weapon.

"Well of course I'm gonna test it out. I wanted to see how realistic it felt! This is a full virtual dive! It's never been done before! Can't blame a guy for being excited!" He grinned, looking around for the others. Soon, Corey materialized before them as well, mentioning Erika as he did so. Shiroji shook his head.

    "Not yet... I haven't seen-"

"I'm right behind you, dude... but remember, we shouldn't use our real names..." Someone said, cutting Shiroji off from completing his sentence. Looking just past Corey, he noticed Erika standing right behind him.

"Oh. There you are! And yeah, I agree we should only use our Usernames from here on out, unless we are in a private area anyway..." Shiroji agreed, opening up his HUD and accessing the world map as she asked about a game plan. "Well... I'm sure the fields would be the best place to look to find a couple low level creatures to fight..." He told everyone, showing his HUD to everyone so that they could all see the world map.

  4. As the world materialized before him, Shiroji looked to his hands to find that it didn't even feel like he was in a game... It was so real... He could smell the scent of food in the air around the town, he could feel the wind in his face...

"This is amazing! Oh man, I can't wait to get started!" He exclaimed, reaching for the sword he chose to start out with, a two handed sword. Trying to wield it one handed, he was slow and sluggish. Gripping the blade with both hands at the hilt, he manages to swing it much easier.

"Wow... even the gear has the weight that it would have in real life... The guys that made the game really know their stuff..." Shiroji said in awe as he continued to gaze at his sword. eventually, he noticed the green bar at the top left of his vision. Next to it was his username, "Blaster."

"Guess I better get used to that name." He grinned, returning the sword to its buckle on his back as he waited for everyone to show up.

  5. glad to be here.

Yeah, Cardfight Vanguard is an awesome game. Alongside helping to clear the game, we want to also recreate our favorite Vanguard Cards in the form of our characters basically obtaining gear similar to that on the cards.

We all look forward to joining the frontlines once we get strong enough

And you used to play, Beatbox?! Awesome! What clan did you play?

  6. The name's Blaster! Nice to meet yall!

My friends and I are all huge fans of SAO and Cardfight Vanguard and we hope to do some good eventually in assisting in clearing the floors to come once we get stronger :D

As for other possible Vanguard fans out there, my favorite clan, if you haven't guessed yet, is Royal Paladins.

    Username: Blaster
    Real name: Shiroji Akihiko
    Age: 21
    Gender: Male
    Height: 5' 9"

    History
"Nothing ever changes around here... it's always the same..."

These were the words commonly muttered as Shiroji Akihiko would wake up every morning three years ago. Same old morning routine, same little cafe for breakfast before headed to work, same old boring job, same old small apartment. Little did he know that his life was about to change one day when he decided to change it up for lunch on his day off and try out a new restaurant around the corner. As he sat down to eat, he could hear a group of three behind him playing some kind of game.

"I'll call this unit through this skill, and it gains +3000 power, now I swing and boost!"

    "No guard!"

Curiosity getting the better of him, he turned around to watch them play their game. Just from watching them, he gathered that the name of the game was called Cardfight Vanguard. Intrigued, he decided to walk on over and introduce himself.

"Interesting game. My name is Shiro. Mind if I sit down and learn?" He asked politely, watching as the faces on the three strangers before him lit up with excitement.

"Sure! You can learn using my deck! My name is Alex. These two are Corey and Erika." He told Shiroji as he offered the chair next to him and began teaching him how to play the game. Getting their numbers and promising to show up at the card shop he was told about the next day, he goes home and eagerly awaits the time he would be changing things up from his boring life.

"Looks like things... are about to get real interesting..." He muttered as he fell asleep.

For the next three years, he would gain a reputation as the Blaster since any deck he made for the game would involve his favorite card, Blaster Blade. Himself and the three who had taught him have all formed a team and went to events on the regular. Never a dull moment, Shiroji always looked forward to every Friday evening when he would meet up with everyone at the card shop and have the time of his life.

Present day, the four of them were eagerly waiting in line for something that was long awaited and was finally being released: Sword Art Online. Excitement surged through Shiroji as he imagined crafting his own armor and gear so that he could SAO's own version of Blaster Blade. Imagining himself in the dark blue and white armor, he knew that he wouldn't be able to achieve exactly what he wanted, but he was determined to at least make it as close as possible.

Once everyone had their Nerve Gear and hard copies of SAO, they all went to Shiroji's house where they all got ready to log in for the first time.

"See you guys on the other side! Link Start!" Shiroji said, experiencing the Full Dive for the first time. Little did he know that a brand new adventure was about to begin... one where his life was truly on the line...

    Personality
Typically quiet, Shiroji tends to keep to himself unless something catches his interest. Unless it is Vanguard related, he will literally ignore most things and continue on with his daily routine. Most would consider him to be rude or ignorant, however it is merely a lack of interest and he honestly means no harm by his behavior. While he is playing Vanguard, however, he turns into one of the most cheerful and exciting people you could ever meet. Extremely loyal to his friends, he always makes sure everyone gets what they need and is always smiling. He literally is the light of the group that shines bright and keeps everyone's spirits up, even if things are looking down for them at an event.

He also has a passion for the unknown, which was what brought him to learn more about Sword Art Online and convince the others to join him. Even Erika, who hated video games, was convinced by Shiroji to give it a try. It was his cheerful demeanor that usually helped persuade others to join him in whatever it was that he was attempting to do. Shiroji gets a thrill from discovering new places and ideas, so he figured SAO would be absolutely perfect for him, and what better way to experience something new that with his friends?

    Virtues:
Loyal - His friends are as close to him as family, if not closer. Shiroji will do whatever he deems necessary to assist a friend in need, whether it be something as simple as loaning a couple bucks to someone for lunch or even going so far as to take the heat for something that would get his friend in serious trouble. Although, he will not put himself or anyone else in harm's way to prove his loyalty.

Determined - When Shiroji finds something he is interested in, he will do whatever he can, within reason, to learn everything about it or see it through to the end. Once he sets his sights on a goal, it is rare that he will give up on it has proven, despite all his best efforts, to be unachievable. This can sometimes lead to him getting into trouble or accidentally injuring himself since he can tend to be a bit stubborn.

Cheerful - Always found with a smile on his face, despite the situation. Even in the darkest of moments, Shiroji can be found keeping a positive attitude and always finding the bright side to everything. This trait tends to draw others close to him as his cheerfulness can be contagious.

    Flaws:
Disinterested - Tends to become bored easily when not dealing with something he is generally not interested in, causing him to space out and slack off. Many frown upon this behavior and tend to get upset with him, however he will typically just shrug it off, claiming that if it isn't something that grasps his full attention, he can't think of any reason to put any effort towards it. This tends to lead towards a lazy or ignorant demeanor.

Stubborn - Shiroji is extremely think headed and once he does set his mind on something, he will see it through to the end if he can help it. Won't take no for an answer and will argue his point across until he is blue in the face. Goes hand in hand with his determination.

Impulsive - Tends to act before thinking, especially when it comes to getting something he wants. Typically gets himself into trouble, however his impulsive buys or habits are typically on the mild side. The worst impulsive buy he had ever done was buy an entire case of cards for the team, which cost him almost $1000, just so that he could get playsets of cards that he needed.
