  1. Murdock had tired of waiting around for the day that somebody rescued them from this foreign world. For the longest time, he had been relaxing on the first floor within the safe zone, counting away the seconds as the hope of escape dwindled like the declining population. There had been more than enough time to understand that this was real, that he had to make due with what he was given, and figure out a purpose in Aincrad. Certainly, he was no fighter. Not once had he left the safe zone with no interest in sacrificing himself so that others could maybe make it out of this game. He didn't think of himself as selfish, but wise, in his decision. For now, all he could do was take the first step towards making a life here. With nothing on hand besides the clothes on his back, he began making his way towards Wall Street - an NPC merchant shop where he would learn the difference between the business life here and in the real world.

    Real name: Murdock Church

    About:

When Murch talks about his past, he tends to have trouble really talking much about himself. Life was good for him, he grew up well mannered and taken care of. No real complaints in his life. Sure, everyone has their ups and downs in life, but for him, the worst thing that happened to him was a distant cousin dying that he hardly knew.  Murdock just doesn't have a wild history, broken family, or any crazy obsessions. He's just a post grad that got tossed heads up in this game before he could make use of his newfound degree. Having spent the last four years in college working on his Bachelor's in Business Administration, he didn't get much more than half a year before he took his last dive. Of course, ever since then, he's been stuck with the others.

Now that he's trapped inside, all that he really has in mind is kicking off what he never got the chance to finish in the real world. Kick it off as an entrepreneur, push out his merch, make a name for himself amongst all others in profession alone. He knows the tenacity, bravery, and foolishness it takes to fight the good fight and he's not particularly interested in breathing his last breath while stuck in Aincrad. You can expect to see him taking the necessary trips outside of the safe zones for material hunts and the occasional quest, but scouting? Fighting a floor boss? Yeah, right. At least while he's here, he can make use out of his past four years. Perhaps, he could get away with claiming his business here as actual, fully fledged experience.

    Virtues:

Reliable: If you're ever in need of Murdock's aid, you'll very likely get his help. While he may have no compassion for beggars, especially here in this game where everyone starts off equal, that doesn't mean that he's heartless. He'll also never commit to more than he's capable or willing to handle so don't go getting any bright ideas.

Organized: Murdock's pretty set in his ways, which keeps himself organized in the process. From routing to time management, he knows how to keep himself well and in control of his life. It's great in that it prevents unnecessary setbacks or harm to himself, but it does often get in the way of surprise visits or last minute requests.

Patient: Good things come to those that wait and Murdock truly believes that. His father never gave into his son's impulse begging growing up, no matter how cheap or desirable the toy or item. From that he learned that if you want something, you've got to invest your own time and effort to get what you're after.

    Flaws:

Realist: Murdock has a pretty decent understanding of what's going on throughout Aincrad, much like everyone else. However, he's not hung up on the impossible. He knows the reality that getting out of this forsaken world just isn't going to happen and, if it does, those that put themselves on the frontlines will be not see the results of their efforts.

Untruthful: Throughout life and in pursuing his degree, he learned that telling the truth generally led to success less often than outright lying about the small things. If you tell someone that you got inspiration to become a pilot from your pop that served in the war, you're going to get a lot more interest sparked than if you told them the truth that you just really liked re-enacting TIE fighter scenes as a kid. Never outright lie about major events, but a couple of white lies won't snowball if you stay on top of it.

Obsessive: Particularly in being successful, Murdock can not stand shortcomings. If he finds himself incapable of doing the things that he sets out to do, he often starts becoming desperate. Trying more and more impractical things, which isn't his general sort of processing. He's usually pretty unpleasant to deal with in this sort of manner.
