Athena

The atmosphere between the two was nothing but pure and it was filled by a warm and tingling expression or feeling of positivity. The handshake was occuring as Athena observed Aurelius' eyes giving off the exact same twinkling state that the children had when they felt genuinley happy. More or so when Athena brought them gifts from other floors. 

"A names are definitely one of the better names you could have chosen upon entering this game." She approved of his own comment by making one of her own. Her expression never changing from the wide smile and big bright eyes that lined her features. The only alteration that was occuring was the soft laugh that escaped between her parted lips before she returned to her wide smile. A gentle nod, before taking the lead graced Athena's head. Her hair moving slightly by the activity of her body. That very nod was enough for Athena to have made the non verbal communicative statement of agreeing to take the lead while still being polite.

The next words that were spoken, an apology followed by a retort that was most likely made to express the apology as a joke. However, Athena was one to study body movement and although most people acted differently than her children, Aurelius was one who seemed to react in the same positive ways as the children she cared for here on the first floor. Athena had begun to walk towards the designated area, "Honestly, don't worry about it Aure. I literslly have time to do anything, my entire goal is to help people that need help. Let me tell you a bit about what i've been doing. Alongside of Seoul i've been managing the church here on the first floor. We turned it into an orphanage where we provide food and shelter and love to the children that are in this game that have no one to stay besides. My entire goal everyday is to go out and find those to help, or procure supplies or money for our organization. Coming here soon, we expect to turn it into a guild you know. Maybe you'd be okay with joining." Athena felt content with the answer she had returned to Aurelius as she continued to walk down the path. Athena had started this quest many times, but had never finished it. However that was not something she would say. As it might lose her some credibility for knowing about things around here. "Let's get this quest going and complete. I'll work alongside you~" She turned her head as she spoke, her thumb sticking up in the air as she grinned lopsidedly. 

The children, ever persistent in their morning mumble and jumbles of nothingness. Anything that eased their minds in this game of death that brought terror down on anyone that didn't have the mental capacity of a wise man or woman. That was what Athena did, spending each and every day that came as the sun rose up into the sky, with the children on floor one. She was their adoptive mother, the caring figure that watched over them and protected them. She gave them a place to sleep, rest and a place to eat.. While the others on the front lines did all of the work. Breakfast was over, not long after Athena had gotten lost in her own thoughts. The imaginative world that she knew and loved. 

It was time to walk the streets, looking for things to do for a little bit of extra col. Looking for children or people that seemed like they needed a place to go. All of the usual things that Athena did on a very regular basis. This was her life, and she loved it with every ounce of her body, spirit and mind. It was not long, as the sun continued to slowly climb its way into the sky that a soft voice appeared out of nowhere. Her eyes had been doing a very casual sweep of the first floor, not quite wanting to dabble into work. But still keeping her ever so keen eyes out for any sort of indicator that she would be useful somewhere.

This voice, had been her saving grace. "Mind if I ask a question?" Athena glanced towards the source of the graceful voice, her eyes landing on a boy. His eyes, deep and true. Understanding, yet they seemed to held a curiosity for things unknown to himself. The very eyes of a man whom wanted help, someone who could be welcome and trusted. His own eyes a window to his kind and compassionate soul. Athena smiled at the male figure, "Of course, what's the question?" She listened, her voice only stirring as she breathed.

His question seemed to tie to being lost, something which made Athena's personality and interest spike. She was good at finding things, and she was good at making the lost feel found and safe. His optimism shining through as he cracked a joke. The light laugh protruding through Athena's partially open lips, the sound caressing the street as she laid her hand across her stomach. "I could definitely help with that!" Athena would be of use yet. "If this quest that you are wanting to do, is as I remember, I can definitely be of assistance. My name is Athena!" She held out her hand.

Athena's eyes brightened as she felt Fuyuno warp her arms around her body, her face buried in her torso. Athena hugged her back before Fuyuno released her hold. The message sounded and Athena opened it instantly. She read it swiftly before grinning at Fuyuno. "I know you'll always be around to catch me too, so no worries! It sure is difficult. Is there any way I can be of assistance?" Athena would be ready to be Fuyuno's shield or sword.. Whatever she needed. "As for that swimsuit, this guy can definitely make you whatever you want! We can definitely steer away from the school swimsuit path." Athena once again began to walk, the shop coming into sight, "In fact, there it is now." She pointed with her finger. She headed inside, holding the door open for Fuyuno.

Once inside, she grinned, it was cozy and had a lovely setting. The man rumbled happily as the two entered. "Hey there misses, what can I getcha today?" Athena grinned, "A cute swimsuit for her~" Athena held out her hands, showing Fuyuno, "Her name's Fuyuno, and my name is Athena." She placed her hand over her heart, "I'll be relaying Fuyuno's messages to you, as she uses the UI to speak." 

Athena was ready to kick butt and find a familiar. Which one do I even want.. Sol asked me earlier.. But I never even gave him a proper reply... Athena wasn't sure herself... She just assumed that whatever she came across she would attempt to tame. Either way, now was not the time or place to begin her search. She was still in the meeting with the beautiful child, by the name of Fuyuno. Herself and Solei were getting to know the girl. Beginning to understand how she thought, what she was doing.. What her goals were...

Athena didn't want to steal Solei's thunder so she let him do the talking. She would let him keep the conversation going, and she would only speak when she needed to. This was his domain after all. He had been a teacher and knew ASL too... "Just because she doesn't seem American, doesn't mean she can't learn American Sign Language. She seems like a smart kid, i'd still try and teach her. That way she can talk to us easier. She can even take it with her when she escapes this game."

Oscar... What a lovely name... Athena graciously shook the hand, the very hand she had held her own out to shake. Then she listened in on the conversation between the two. I am definitely not capable of a quest on this floor. Especially since i've done jack squat this entire two years in terms of leveling and quests... I'm still a puny level one... So....

Athena nodded her hand understandingly, "I can definitely get behind that. I think it's best if I stay out of the fight and let you two handle it. I was here to get some souveneirs for the kids, so maybe afterwards you could give me a hand in my aimless search? I have no idea to even begin looking!" Athena gave them a motherly kind of smile, one that was filled with as much warmth as the sun melting the snow during the spring time. She would want to help as much as she could, but she really wasn't the right level for it...

Athena smiled as the message popped up on her screen. She nodded her head, "Of course Fuyu!" She patted the girl on the head, "There's actually a nice tailor right up the road!" Athena began to walk a certain way, "What kind of swimsuit were you thinking of?" Athena wanted as much details as she could get from the short red eyed girl. 

Her fingers clasped behind her back as she walked. "How have you been anyways? What's new with you?" Athena kept walking, hoping that Fuyuno were following her. "For myself personally, i've just been bouncing floor to floor... Looking for things for the kids in the orphanage. I like helping out, and I love the kids so..." Athena just chuckled, "They hold a special place in my heart." She felt her eyes twinkle as she spoke of her prized children. "They are like my own, and I will always be there for them. Just like i'll always be here for you." She glanced back at Fuyuno.

Athena knew the opposite was what Kirbs was feeling, but she would not push it any further. Some people just need their space, especially due to fact of last time I saw her... with Alec and Fuyuno. 

Athena removed her hand replying to Kirbs, "I'm alright..." She then nodded her head to the man that appeared seemingly out of nowhere. "Hello, I am Athena." She stuck out her hand to shake his. 

Athena was unknown about the fact that a lot of people in Sword Art Online were not liking the fact that some were friendly. Athena would just stick to her true self, her nurturing and friendly self. The very self that helped run the orphanage on floor one. "What's the name you go by here?"

Athena bit her lip, he had asked Kirbs what she was doing on this floor. Athena knew it was way out of her level range, but here she stood. Still and true to her nature of wanting the best for the kids.

The genuine return of the smile that lined Fuyuno's face brought joy back into Athena's body. Though she found the whole situation to be rather funny. A ding sounded, the sound of a friend request. Athena checked it, before clicking the circle that meant the girl would be added to her friends list. "Say, Fuyuno. Want to join on a quest with Solei and I? I got this quest." She tapped through her UI, "You and Sol can communicate with each other while we get there.. I got this quest, to find a familiar. Tame it, and take it home." She double checked the details, drawing the food item from her inventory.

"It looks like once I find one, I have five chances to tame it with food before it runs away, then we have to start all over again." Athena thought for a moment. "I wouldn't mind having a friend like you come along."

Athena was on floor one, as per usual in the church. She had just finished eating breakfast with the kids, and now she was going out to make her rounds in the main city streets. On her way out, a small blonde boy reached for the bottom of her armor, "S-Sensei.." The kiddo was holding a brown teddy bear. Athena smiled, crouching down and hugged the 8 year old, whose mine was stuck at age 6. Athena kissed the top of his head, "It'll be okay, little Atom." She tuffled with his hair before standing back up, "I'll be back don't worry!" And then she left the church, making her way to the streets.

Athena was literally strolling when all of a sudden Fuyuno appeared out of nowhere. She tugged on her outfit before the message of a ding sounded. Athena read it, her eyebrows furrowing, concern filling her gaze, "What's up, Fuyu?" Athena was worried, but knew that Fuyuno would tell her what was going on.

Athena smiled as Fuyuno understood what she was doing. Solei went up to the girl, and Athena stood to her feet, letting Sol take over. "Have a go at it." She gave Solei a lighthearted warm wink. She always winked at him. He's pretty darn cute too. Athena let out a small sigh. Solei had yet to know about the important factor of her life.. I wonder how the front lines are going.. Is he on them? Is he fighting to get us back to the real world? Athena watched as Sol bent down on one knee. It definitely looked like Fuyuno was embarrassed. Athena smiled to herself, I want to get married one day..

As Solei continued, his attention constantly being on Fuyu, she patted him on the back, whispering in his ear, "Might want to get off of that one knee, or sit down on your heels.. It looks like she's feeling awkward." 

Athena's writer couldn't help but chuckle at the fact that Athena had found herself on floor five. The brunette was going to buy some materials and souvenirs for the kids. They had after all told her that they wanted something nice from higher floors. 

As long as it gave the children of the first floor rays of hope, Athena would deliver. That was when she stumbled upon a certain red head. The despair and disgust was clear in her eyes. The depression was setting in.

Athena instantly took to her side, letting out a noise, calling out to let the girl know she was there. She placed a hand on her shoulder, and spoke up, "Is everything okay?"

The thought of anyone going through depression like so many of the children she had helped, coursed through Athena. She knew how sadness in Aincrad felt, and she wanted to help however was going through trouble.

Athena chuckled, "True point there! I should probably shoot for something that's friendly then, eh?" Athena smiled at the thought of the children back at the place she had been living since the launch of the game, "It'd be nice for them to have an animal to love on though. It might make it feel more.. real.." Athena stopped talking as real popped out of her mouth. Truth be told the kids need more positivity in their lives. Athena now focused her attention on the girls' reply to her head pat. She can't talk? Athena had no need to worry. A lot of the kids were a lot like this new girl. Quiet at first. Athena was unbothered and unfazed by it at all, "It's okay. I understand if you can't talk.." She crouched down so she would be eye-level with the girl. She opened up the list of players on the first floor, the list was endless. Her menu was positioned so the girl could see everything she was doing, just in case she wasn't sure how to pull it up. She narrowed it down by players that were closest to her, Solei's name was on that very list, along with a name she had never seen before.. Fuyuno? Athena smiled warmly, "Is your name Fuyuno?"

Athena grinned as her Solei headed out, "I'm not sure! I was just wanting to take it at it's face. Whatever comes my way, comes my way.. Y'know?" Athena chuckled before they continued. "Don't worry. I'm sure you'll get a familiar of yourself sometime soon!" Athena held out her arms, stretching, before she dropped them once again back by her side.

Athena's eyes caught sight of a girl with hair of a pearly color. She was very short, child-like looking. Athena glanced back at Solei with a cheery grin on her face, "Looks like we stumbled on someone~" Athena decided right then and there that she would make contact. Athena walked straight towards the girl, "Hello there! It's a lovely day isn't it?" Athena placed a gentle hand on Fuyuno's shoulder, "The name's Athena. The man behind me is Solei." Athena grinned, "Whatcha doin there?" Athena looked at the shops nearby, Will we need anything from here?

Athena stood in the church on floor one. She was packing a small lunch for herself, and for Sol. She had been greeted by a gypsy that had wandered into the church where she stayed at and worked in. Before anyone else could approach her, Athena had welcomed the woman. Athena had received a quest and some food and had asked Sol to accompany her. So there she stood, at the counter preparing food. It was something she always did. She had yet to do the cooking quest, but everyone at the church knew she was an excellent cook. Athena grinned as she finished preparing their lunches, packing extra food just in case they stumbled on anyone in the town. "You ready to go Sol?" 

~~~ A Few Moments Later ~~~

Athena found herself in the center of the Town of Beginnings, where all of the shops were. Her eyes glancing up at the sky, "It's really a lovely day to be doing this." Athena smiled kindly and warmly at Solei.

Athena smiled, shaking Alec's hand, "Yep, Athena at your service." Upon shaking his hand, she curtsied a bit, before glancing back up, "If you have time to sit down tomorrow or something, I do have a few questions to ask you, Alec..." Athena grinned, "A pack of wild dogs? Three-headed dog? That sounds very exhilarating." Athena got a lot of wild tales and stories from the kids she always took care of, but she knew that this one was the truth. It sounded much like a quest or a hunt that anyone could take on, given they had the levels. 

Athena nodded her head, "Whatever quest you want to do, you'll have us three to support you!" Athena grinned, "It's never too late to go back and grab the quest." Her gaze rested on Drayna's lips as they curled upwards into a smile. Smiles made Athena happy, she loved making sure everyone was okay... Now she just had to get Kirbs to smile. She barely knew the girl, but she wanted to support her in any way that she could. 

Athena grinned, "Of course i'd go out with ya!" Her gaze rested on Alec, agreeing with him that she had managed to leave town on her own, "Alec's right, you managed to leave on your own." Upon hearing that the man was in fact a tank, Athena's eyes widened. She did have a few questions to ask him, mainly about his own build. She wanted to be a tank as well, but baby steps... Athena first had to level up a bit more, if she wanted to save others at least...

Athena watched the interaction between Kirbs and her familiar, then between Alec and his. The two's reactions to their familiars were entirely different... Athena shrugged it off, not thinking much of it. If she didn't prove herself, she was in no position to give others emotional support. She had to be like a giant boulder, ahead of lots of people and able to take as many hits as needed before anything could get past her.

Athena watched as Drayna jumped back into the safe zone. Athena's eyebrows furrowed towards the center of her face. She was definitely concerned for the girl. Upon seeing the girl's expression rest on her, Athena thought for a moment. Almost every other player wouldn't know the exact count, but Athena knew. She knew because she counted each day. "It's been roughly two years..." Athena stopped talking to watch the exchange between Kirbs and Alec. Athena was pretty much in the same boat as Drayna, she had never left this town. But the two's major difference between each other was that Athena wasn't scared. Her mind bringing her back to the conversation she had with the kid. Maybe it was about time that she actually went out and did something. Maybe she could bring her support to the higher floors.

Blinking back into the present, Athena grinned, "It's a lovely day to go out. It seems that's what you wanted to do here, Drayna. Mind if I accompany you?" Athena could do with a change of pase and scenery. She honestly barely remembered what the outside world looked like. The only day she had left had been right before the ceremony.  

Athena smiled as she got everyone's names fresh in her mind, "I suppose I could introduce myself. My name is Athena, I've been taking care of the people here on floor one that are too scared to leave." Athena would have left sooner had she not been so caught up in her tasks. She had wanted to make sure everyone was emotionally stable before she went about and did something else. "Nice to meet you all." Her eyebrows raised as she watched the exchange that Kirbs gave Alec. It didn't take a genius to know that this girl was far from emotionally stable. 

Nevertheless, Athena was wondering what everyone was doing here in this particular spot, "What are you guys doing here?" Her eyes beating to where Drayna had left the safe zone, then they shifted to Alec and Kirbs, who obviously had stronger equipment than her and Drayna combined. Athena's eyes shifted to the black bear accompanying Alec. The bear was rather cute she had to admit.

Athena had been spending all of her time on floor one in the town of beginnings. She had perfected her cooking technique, along with taking care of the children that had lost their parents in the game. Athena was currently spending her time wiping the mouth of one of the youngest she had been watching over. She spent her days and nights at the church. Athena looked surprised as the kid spoke to her about fighting, "Miss Athena... I know you like taking care of us, but don't you want to go out and fight, get stronger and protect the people on higher floors?" Athena widened her eyes, "I mean, I want to protect everyone in this game, but I can't just leave you guys." She would then give the kid's head a patting, "But, we have the other Miss, I think if you went out, none of us would mind.. In fact, we all want you to work hard and save more people than just us!" Athena would ponder over it for a while. "I'll think about it, meanwhile you enjoy your bath!" Athena began tickling the kid, and laughter could be heard.

Fast forward about an hour and Athena would be walking down the street, near the edge of town. Near the exit, of the Town of Beginnings. She was out for a walk, looking around for people that needed her... But today it seemed rather empty. Much like it had been for the past year. Athena had really done up with this place... But she knew there were higher floors with people that needed her just as much. If Athena hadn't been so keen on going to that meeting spot every single day, she wouldn't have stayed on floor one for very long. Athena, the protector, she would have fought to get to the frontlines to provide her emotional support to everyone she could. She wanted people to have hope in this dull dark world. Shaking her head, Athena continued her walk. Hearing a few voices, she turned. 'I DON'T WANNA DIE!!!' Athena's eyes widened as she looked over at the source of the cry. A tanned girl with blonde hair, Athena couldn't get a good look of her face, because the girl's back was towards Athena, her face looking towards the plains. Athena was about to take a step forward when a tall, muscular, older man stepped forward, she couldn't quite hear what he said, but she ought to walk closer just in case. Athena took an actual step forward, moving her body in the direction of the duo when a girl appeared. She had the reddest of hair, and it looked like in the past there had been a spark in her eye, but it no longer lay there. 

Athena walked into the group of three now, "Is everything okay?" Her beady red brown eyes glancing between each player. She wanted to help, however she could.

Scarlet had the easiest life anyone else could ever have while growing up. She had all the necessities in life, and more. She was on the higher tier of income in the United States but everyone in her family led a humble life. They lived in a casual one story house, Scarlet being an only child. They drove middle-income cars, and wore middle-income clothes. Scarlet was put through school as any other child would be. She went to a public high school and then attended a nearby college. All the money she got would go into her savings account. Her parents would put aside a set amount every year that would help Scarlet when she lived on her own. By the time she was done with high school she had enough to live on with a humble life for a few years. But Scarlet kept working hard despite having about one million in savings.

During high school, Scarlet kept her friends close. Scarlet was considered the 'mom' friend of the group. They held tight to their relationships even going as far as to go to the same college together. Scarlet graduated as valedictorian and was able to attend college on full-ride scholarships. Scarlet loved her friends, they made her feel... Real. Like she wasn't who she was, the rich only child of two parents that had told her to get by on her own. Because that was reality, Scarlet wasn't even able to touch her savings account until she turned 24 so she could get through college on her own, and earn her own keep.

Scarlet didn't mind though. She and her friends played games together and made everything work out. Her secret life that even her family kept a secret to everyone else being a turning stone in the very back of her brain. Scarlet and her friends vowed to get a copy of Sword Art Online. So that's what they did.

Motherly. Athena is very motherly. This means she is not only protective of everyone, but she cares for everyone's life. Athena aims to protect and aims to be a figure that not only herself but everyone can look up to. She cares for not only physical well-being of others but also their emotional and mental well being. Athena will step in front of the boss to take the damage if need be, if it means protecting someone who can't protect themselves. Due to having the character trait motherly, Athena is very gentle and kind towards others.

Humorous. Athena has a sense of humor. Although she is gentle, when somethings happens and she gets tilted (Not Explosive as it lists below), her words will become witty humor. Athena is known for her wide-range of humorous phrases.

Outgoing. Athena is definitely a people person, she loves being around others and loves being in open spaces. She spends as much time as she can outside and adores talking with others. If you are looking for her, you can find her befriending other people and doing things for others. 


Explosive. Athena has a long fuse, she does not anger easily. However, when someone pisses Athena off, they are sure to know. When angered, Athena will explode and everyone will know why she is angered. Whether she takes the action to yell or cut off someone's hand, Athena when angry takes a very long time to cool off.

Overconfident. Athena is not only overly confident in her own abilities, but the abilities of others. She thinks that if you're truly good, and truly work hard, nothing bad can become of you. Athena feels as if she can do anything when protecting others.
