  1. Drenz was taken for a whirlwind as he stepped foot in the shop. He didn't think this was exactly the shop that Valetine suggested but dammed if it wasn't impressive in it's own right. "I don't think this was the place, but a blacksmith is a blacksmith! I wonder if he's gonna be willing to help me out as she says..."

He shuddered at the fact he barely had any money on his person. Before he could claim this fact to the owner, he was already at the counter laying down a new set of armor for Drenz. It was perfect. Just exactly his style... as if it were made specifically for him. Looking at the armor, everything hit me way too fast. "Uh... wait... let's back up here! It's great to meet you. Now, as for the armor... as awesome as it is, I don't exactly have enough money for what this looks like to afford..." He sighed. "It is beautiful though..."

Drenz looked to Leya then to Bahr. He could feel the trust and admiration, the purity of emotions between the two. An emotion he never knew till experiencing now, right in front of him. Between the two of them, they never had to worry for the other would give everything. Those very feelings, was taste to the tongue for how strong they exuded.

Smiling, Drenz rubbed the back of his head. "You both are extremely skilled. Inspiring for sure. How long did it take you to get so strong? Feeling behind is an understatement when I'm in the presence of you two."

He wasn't feeling sorry for himself persay, it was more anger at himself. Where could be at now if Akira didn't lock up? Thoughts that didn't help the young hero move forward, something he had to realize if he was ever to leave the first floor and join the Assault Team.

  2. Drenz chuckled at the stern response Valentine gave him. He was straightforward, and to the point. But was a kind man, you can feel that off his demeanor. "Sorry about that. Haha I didn't know it was the beginning of an explanation that I clearly cut off," he smacked his forehead, "still getting used to things as you can tell."

A gleam in his left eye, made Drenz see another quest item a little ways behind Val. Springing to action, he ran over and picked up it up. And sure enough, the quest updated.

'Collect five Tier 1 Materials (4/5 Collected)’

"Alright! That's four! Only one more and we can get these materials back to Zackariah! Old man is gonna have a heart attack at how fast we collected these if we can find just one more..."

As if he were a scout, Drenz began putting his hand over his head to see far. It did nothing to help, it was just for dramatic effect. It was a world he didn't understand, but he tried his best to make the best to him right now. This was his reality now.

  3. Drenz took the canister from Valentine and took a swig of water, without hesitation. He was parched and Val was the trust worthy sort. And dammed if he wasn't right... germs and things to that effect weren't a worry here in a virtual world like this one.

Passing it back, he gasped in delight. "Sometimes you just need some water haha." Looking at the gem Valentine showed off, made Drenz wonder of his own future. "He's right. I can easily get into my own crafting ability over time. These are all things I have to take into account. To survive to floor 100, I have to take advantage of every system this game has at my disposal."

Catching another glimpse of an herbal mid conversation, Drenz didn't even hesitate. He walked over and picked it from the ground. Lucky for him again... he was on the money.

'Collect five Tier 1 Materials (3/5 Collected)’

A smile soon painted the lips of the young hero. This quest was coming along well, just he had to be sure to take it all in stride. Because as easy as it may come, is as easy as it may go. "A knightly image, huh? That does sound tempting. Looking like the hero. But it goes further than looks in a dangerous world like this though, I bet?"

A death game... could it really be beaten, so they could all go home? Drenz had to cling to the hope they could, because without that hope... he would find himself in the corner again, helpless as before.

  4. Watching the Lancer charge the boar again, Drenz contemplated the type of player he wanted to be... the type of warrior. "I mean... I do have the One Handed sword already since that is the Hero's sword! But is that the way here in this world? This world is about data and levels. No amount of heroics is gonna get me to the Frontlines and one step closer to saving me and Akira. I have to think about this wisely. I have to make the right choices early on if I want to be successful later on."

Touching his hand to his sword... he felt it was just a big ornament till now. And it really is. What was called a "Vanity" sword. Just looking for something cool to start with. But things now have changed... and theatrics aren't doing him any favors. "I don't really know yet. I've contemplated a little, but up until recently I wasn't of the... right mind frame... to really put much thought into it. I mean, look at me doing the beginning quests now."

He rolled his eyes in his own disgust, leading him to catch an eye of something he thought to be another herb for his Quest. Jumping at the opportunity, he ran over to it, plucking it out of the ground. This time he was on the money.

'Collect five Tier 1 Materials (2/5 Collected)’

Turning to Valentine, he smiled. "Another one bites dust haha!"

Drenz was steam rolling now, he felt. Good fortunes were raining down upon him. And hopefully, that fortune would continue to favor this bold young man.

  5. Drenz shuddered with fear and excitement at the thought of going beyond the safe zone again. "Valentine showed me the basics of survival... but that doesn't mean I still feel the most confident in my abilities yet. Maybe a tour by Lessa of the zones outside would help? ... sigh. I should be much further along!"

The young player shook off his angry thoughts and refocused more on the here and now. What was he looking to find? "If I were to think about it... I do need better equipment from what a friend mine told me yesterday." He sighed as he thought of Val's stern training and how he told Drenz he definitely needs an upgrade.

Rubbing the back of his head, he began chuckling. "I guess that's what really was the subconscious beginning to today's journey through town. An upgrade. Whatever that means in a world like this, though."

Drenz looked up to the sky, Honoka could be seen to him smiling in the virtual data. "All 1s and 2s, and I'm still here thinking of you, lil sis. I hope things outside are okay... I hope you're okay..."

But no amount of seeing loved one's in the clouds were going to get Drenz to the frontlines. No amount of cowering would get him to the start his climb up the tower. He knew that. It was interactions like these and actually getting an understanding of the game's mechanics that inevitably would. Lessa motioned for him to walk with her and he obliged. "I really do wish I got an earlier start than this though... to see people like you, who can clearly fight on the Frontlines, is inspiring. And also a little fire stoking. Because it makes me want to get there even faster..."

Drenz made a fist and smiled, thinking of the future. Looking over to Lessa, he continued his smile. "And again... I am still so grateful for you taking me around. I hope I can repay you one day, to be honest... as long as some stray Boar doesn't take me to the big Akihiko upstairs, if you catch my drift?"

Even though it was said in jest, truth stung in that statement for him. Drenz very well could lose his life to something as simple as a Boar attack in his new reality. And that was the very reason Akira for the last few years was in a corner of the Town, crying himself to sleep. Fear and panic his only emotions... a state that Drenz would make sure neither of them would ever be in again. To keep them both safe... he couldn't afford to fail.

  6. Valentine's words on taking up arms against Boars like the others around him on the field, was clear. He was right. This was why Akira hadn't ventured out past the Safe zone in these two years... crippling fear of real death from a virtual game. Now with Drenz taking over, he was mentally ready... but nowhere near physically.

Chuckling a bit nervously, it was clear he hadn't even put a thought to his skills. "Haha... I honestly haven't even invested my skill points yet. I was a little... out of commission these past two years... so now is why I'm tackling things like these opening tutorial quests."

Catching a glimmer in the side of his eye, he jumped at what he thought was the same herb he had already collected. Confidently pulling it from the ground... an emotion that would cost him since the plant he grabbed wasn't the one he was looking for. "Damn..."

He dropped the wrong item back on the ground. "But don't worry. Just because my body feels ready... doesn't mean I'm going to jump in blind with the rest. This quest right now is priority."

Opening up to Val seemed easy, even if he had his stoic demeanor about him. A friendship was indeed growing, even if it was only in Drenz's eyes. The search continued...

  7. Drenz's eyes scanned the field, seeing a ragtag of players fighting boars littered throughout the field. He felt a sensation in his palms that he hadn't felt since doing his writing in the real world. "What is this? This feeling? This insatiable drive to grab my sword... to rush those boars... it is the same excitement I used to get from writing but physically manifested..."

In a bop of happiness, he followed Valentine, watching his instructions closely. "This is what you are looking for. Learn it well. I should have let you pull it out so you can be closer to finishing the quest. The basic for material searching is to know what you are looking for and where to find it. Got it?"

Drenz nodded in understanding, taking a deep breath. Equipping the earring finally, he closed his eyes, feeling the atmosphere around him. It was almost as if each sense was amplified to really appreciate the intricacies of Akihiko's world... of the world he now called home too. Reaching in the brush near by Valentine, it took the plucky hero a few moments, but he finally saw one. Pulling it out of its resting place, a notification popped up on his screen informing of his Quest update:

‘Collect five Tier 1 Materials (1/5 Collected)’

Looking up at his instructor with a big smile, Drenz was excited as he swiped the notification away. "Good start, huh? Haha."

  8. Something Lessa said resonated within Drenz after her statement. "Excited to see where I end up? Hm... where do I plan on ending up? The Frontlines... is that the goal?" Torn, it was visible he was but shook it off quickly.

Smiling, the new adventurer was beyond grateful to how nice she had been so far. "You aren't like most, you know that? I can understand investing in those that can help actually clear the game... but man... it's just... thank you. Truly."

Drenz bowed to Lessa, a respect often shown in his culture. Her beauty at one point left him stuck, now it was her unending good nature that had him in awe. "Uhm... yeah, I would take your advice on what is the highlights. I highly doubt the guy that can't even consume virtual bread without choking, wouldn't know his foot from his elbow at this point. Sheesh..."

Looking around the benches, he saw the couples and solo players... getting the young man into his mind again. "So... this is the new normal. And we are all coming to grips with that. In our own ways. I just can't hesitate anymore. I didn't like who I was in the real world, I'll be dammed I feel the same way about the Virtual one. Maybe that's the goal. Deep down... to be better than I who I was."

Reminiscing of his mother reading him a story to go to sleep, he had to keep those memories close... as they served as the ultimate reminder of what he was in his mind about. In the real world, Akira Yosano failed Naoko Yosano or so he felt... but in the virtual world, Drenz would be a beacon of hope for those lost to the same emotions that enslaved him.

  9. Drenz was definitely surprised by the unyielding help that Valentine was showing a newbie player. From his decorum to the very physical help he was willing to offer. "Not many people are like him..." Focusing on his mini map, it zoomed in and out. "Aaaand he did teach me a new trick! Haha."

Soon interrupting Drenz's thoughts, a request window popped up in front of his eyes. The first time ever seeing this question since putting on that Nerve Gear.

"Would you like to join "Valentine's party"?"

Whether someone would realize... the question held weight to Drenz. For him, this was the first real step towards leaving the Town of Beginnings, towards climbing the Tower, towards maybe... just maybe... clearing the game. He pressed the accept button, popping Valetnine's status bars underneath his own. "Whoa... his level is currently what?!"

But before he could even come to grips with that, Valentine's reaching kindness didn't stop there. Interrupting Drenz's thoughts, "Try putting these on. It will actually make it a lot easier to do. Just give it back when done."

And with that, another first. The trade window. "Wait... he can't be serious! He doesn't even know me!" Drenz waved his hands in disapproval. "Wait, wait, wait here, my guy. You sure you wanna give me that? It looks like some pretty sweet equipment, even if I'm giving it back. Can you really just trust me that easily?"

The irony in his line of questioning is that if the roles were reversed, Drenz would do the same without second guessing it. What is the old adage? Ah, yes... birds of a feather, flock together? Time would be the judge of that.

  10. "Now that's a firm shake..." Drenz thought as he took his hand back after their exchange. Lessa spoke to him of her life in Aincrad a little and life outside, making him reminisce of his sister even more.

"Is there somewhere in particular that you're trying to get to?"

Lessa's angelic voice questioned, as Drenz regained himself after being lost by its song. "Uhm... yes! I was trying to find a Blacksmith, originally. But at the same time... I can't find anything in this town. What I need is a tour guide..." He half sighs, half chuckles. "Would you be willing to show me around?"

Drenz felt nervous, but not so much so that he wasn't comfortable to speak to her. Her presence invited him in, it was her beauty that made it hard for him. You don't see girls like Lessa often, much less interact with them. He really did feel like the main character of his stories, the big first meeting... of someone that, who knows would mean to him in the future. Only time could answer those questions.

"I wish I had something to give ya to do it... maybe some Col, I don't have much, but I wouldn't mind parting with it if it meant better understanding of my surroundings... would probably help me regain it all back, tbh. An investment in not being so damn lost! Haha!" Drenz laughed, rubbing the back of his head, his smile big and eyes closed. To any, he was ordinary. But to those that would take to the time to know him... would understand the depth of his ebb and flow.

  11. Lessa forcefully asked Drenz if he was okay, as he kept choking, before swinging a mighty blow for his chest again. This time, whatever he did, helped him swallow the bread. The alleviation was so great, he fell to the floor, sighing in ecstacy.

Looking up at the beautiful girl in front of him, he tried to salvage whatever dignity he had left. "Uh... so... in my mind... this whole situation went a lot smoother," Drenz said jokingly, as he pointed around himself. "And the mechant tried to sell me meat... now I'm mad I didn't take his recommendation."

Kipping up to his feet, he extended his hand to Lessa. She was a divine presence to him, even in a virtual world doomed to beget sadness. It was something that words did no justice. "Uhm, let me properly introduce myself. I'm Drenz and that was my best attempt to beat the death in a safe zone rule."

Chuckling, he hoped his jokes were as funny to her as they were to him. "And yeah... I could use some help. You see... I'm constantly turned around here. I can never find my way in this place and it is only the first town." He lowered his head. "Was never much of a gamer, more into books and writing... so this has been... a little harder than I care to admit."

"Honoka would probably punch me in the throat if she saw what a fool I made of myself. Yikes. This girl is probably ready to run away." Drenz's mind raced as he stared into blue pools of peace. A peace that made his worried heart lie still... even for just a moment.

  12. Drenz was startled at first by Valentine, as he thought it was only him and Zackariah in his shop. The adventurer gave him a once over. "Okay... he has an actual player icon... which is good."

Smiling at Val, Drenz was definitely up for some assistance. Anything to help him get better and out of the Town of Beginnings. It was time to try and beat the game or at least try to with his own power. Different emotions swirled within him. Ranging from confidence to excitement. His previous sorrow being replaced with new hope.

Clicking accept on the quest, Drenz answered him. "Yeah! I would love the assistance! I just accepted the quest that Zackariah here was giving me, if he'd put his damn shirt on and explain what I gotta do!" Rolling his eyes over to the NPC, who bellowed with laughter.

"I like you, kid! You're gonna need that vigor in these parts! Now, to get started I'm going to need some materials. But I think with this young man's help here, you'll do great. I need you to fetch me five of these materials from outside of town. Come back to me here once you finish! And try to be quick about it, kid, eh?" Zackariah winks at Drenz, chuckling as he places his shirt back on and repositions himself.

"Yeah, yeah, old man. Haha I'll be back before you can rip your shirt off for the next guy! Sheesh," Drenz joked as he turned back to Valentine. "Well, since you've done this quest before, I hope you can steer me in the right direction. I'm still getting used to everything to be honest."

Rubbing the back of his head, Drenz laughed. "I'm Drenz, btw. It's nice to meet you!"

  13. "You're pretty lucky to have found an open bench."

It was the first words someone had spoke directly to him in what felt like ages. When Drenz finally refocused his eyes from the sun on the voice's owner... she spoke once more.

"I overheard you back there, and thought maybe you could use some help?"

Finally adding a face to the voice, it was one he was not expecting. It wasn't just that she was the most beautiful person he's seen in Aincrad, it may very well be in his entire life. And it wasn't her long flowing blonde hair, the freckles that adorned her face, nor her vibrant blue eyes... it was more than that. It was almost as if his very spirit was feeling nourished by being in front of her. A feeling he had never felt, not even from his own mother.

He was in awe, for longer than he would care to admit, before snapping back to reality, by slapping his own cheeks. "Oh wow! Sorry about that! This bread is so good it ca-" And as if the embarrassment wasn't high enough, here comes the crescendo as Drenz began choking on the bread he was consuming.

Two punches to his chest, and frantic movement didn't help anything. This was it... it wasn't going to be a boar, a wolf or a broken heart... digital bread in a virtual world was gonna do our hero in. And in front of a beautiful woman no less. What were the chances? Sigh.

  14. Life in Aincrad is starting to become normal... normal to its residents but not yet for Drenz. Still learning the ropes of the system... now our hero finds himself lost again in the Town of Beginnings. But maybe he isn't really lost... but exactly where he's supposed to be at this time?

    Episode 3: Thorn Prick

"If I lose myself in this damn town one more time!" Clear and audible frustrations can be heard in the midst of the crowds of town. And the source? None other than Drenz himself.

Pushing past the crowd, he found a bench to sit down on. Stretching, he looked up at the sky. "Why is it this is just the first town of the game and I can't even get the hang of the layout?" He sighs. "How am I gonna clear this thing if I can't even get the hang of things?"

A flash of Akira's solace wave over Drenz, before he shakes it off. "What I need is a map!"

Repositioning himself Indian style on the bench, he realized to get a map, he would need to know where he was going to buy the map. Why was this so difficult? Swiping the air, he pulled up his item menu, clicking on a loaf of bread he bought in his aimless search. Taking a huge bite of it, he sat there trying to come up with an idea, looking towards the crowds. To the world around him, he looked to be deep in thought, maybe even bewildered.

Which would be the perfect assumption, since he was. "Everyone looks to be adapting well. That's at least a good thing. It gives me hope I can find myself here too. Sigh... Honoka... I wonder how you're holding up right now? I know you got to be going crazy..." Taking another bite of his bread, Drenz missed home more than ever at this moment.

Maybe it wasn't home he missed... maybe it was just warmth, comfort and just even knowing someone. Irony would be at play here, an irony even he scoffed at, seeing how he always rathered be alone than with people... and now that he is trapped in a life or death situation, he yearns for companionship.

He took another bite, looking at the sky. "Hopeless fool..."

  15. Off the coattails of a personal transformation, a young man named Akira Yosano finds himself locked inside of the virtual world known as Sword Art Online where there is no escape... save for beating the game itself. Now, after an emotional breakthrough, the other part of his personality has taken over... fitting since the name of this side of himself is also the name of his avatar. This is the story of Drenz... and his journey through Aincrad, Akihiko Kaiba's dastardly digital landscape that is as real as it is game. The goal is simple... survive, climb the 100 floors and make it home.

    Episode 1: Starting Line

Drenz stood there stuck in the middle... middle of everyone... middle of everything... middle of the Town of Beginnings... a mixture of fear and hope... as he swiped the air, to load his Quest menu. Clicking on Active, there layed the name and information.

"The First Few Lessons Are Free"

"Zackariah, huh? If the guidebook one of the Beta Tester's gave me is correct... these first few quests I take on are very important," he breathed after going over the description of the quest. "It says his place should be right... over... there!"

Drenz pushes through the crowd, finally reaching his destination: a large oak door. With a creak, it opens... revealing the Quest giver Zachariah. In a bit of trance, Drenz stood in awe of all the potions, herbs, flasks and multitude of things he couldn't make out.

In what made him feel like he was in a rush, the NPC spoke. "I don't have all day! You the guy I'm teaching the basics to or not? In Aincrad, those that dawdle... don't survive, kid."

Drenz was taken aback. "Is he a player character...? No, the guidebook says he is what is known as a Non-Player Character. There is no icon, you dummy! Don't be dense! ... but damn... he definitely feels like a real person."

He clears his throat. "Yes... I think I am, sir."

The old man chuckles. "You think or you know?" He sighs, letting down his defense a bit. "But... at least you have more respect than the other adventurers, I'll give you that, kid. So I'll stop busting ya chops so much!"

Almost turning into a different person, Zackariah exuded warmth as put his arms out stretched. "Let me be the first to welcome you to Aincrad! I know you're all from another world, but trust me... this one is pretty great too. Lots of excitement, danger and maybe a few close calls! All the more meaningful when you have a few scrapes as an old man from your youth like me!"

Ripping off his shirt, to reveal his muscles and scarred body in the light of the room, Drenz was in awe.

Running back and forth in excitement, he gawks at Zackariah's muscles. "You are so cool, old man!"

The NPC continued to flex. "Haha yes... yes I am. Now, before I forget... you're the guy right? The one I'm showing the basics to?"

And just like that, the video game brought him back to reality, so to speak as a window popped up, that he read to himself:

"Would you like to start the quest “The First Few Lessons Are Free”?"

To Drenz... it was bit of a downing moment. That no amount of laughs nor seemingly real people will change one fact... he was in a death game. And that quest window in front of his eyes was all the proof he needed of that.

    Username: Drenz
    Real name: Akira Yosano
    Age: 18
    Gender: Male
    Height: 5'11

    About:

    History -

Akira Yosano... a boy born with a silver spoon and a mother's undying love. The Yosano family was an up and coming name in the business world of Japan, as Akira's father Toya, slaved hard hours to provide a comfortable and lavish life for his kin. With two older brothers and a younger sister, Yosano found himself at a weird place in the family attention hierarchy. His mother loved all of her children, but she was so spread thin that Akira was often ignored. As his brother's were successful with sports and technology, he wasn't so much into anything. Save for a passion for reading, he gained watching his own mother's love of books and writing. A former author, Naoko Yosano decided to settle down and be an at home mother once Toya's career took off.

So, that passion for better or worse, bled into Akira's very bone marrow. As he, to combat his being bullied in school, no friends and lack of attention at home, used books and his own writing to disappear from the world. This would see Yosano completely check out of situations and conversations, making his own father deem him his "troubled son". To make these matters worse, upon his acceptance to High School, Akira's mother was diagnosed with Cancer. With his brothers moved on from Japan to seek their own goals, his father working constantly and his sister too young... Yosano's mother's care fell to his own hands when a nurse wasn't present over his High School years.

And as these things go, soon the cancer had taken a turn for the worst. But not before, Akira finding a new bond with his mother over books and his stories. She was proud of his passions and felt she understood her son in death. But for a boy that all he wanted was a mother's love, he was devastated when a few weeks before his graduation she passed away, more so than anyone else. Blaming himself and his cowardly inadequacies even though he could really do nothing for her, all of these emotions came to a head, when he snapped upon a fellow classmate bullying him, Akira donning the personality of his main character Drenz out of fear, something that worked, as the bully stood down.

Akira now found, whenever in a situation of extreme stress in his personal life, his personality changed to that of his main character, Drenz. As if two people were living inside of him. His brothers never contacted anymore and his sister was his biggest fan and confidant. So, naturally she was all for his personality quirk, saying it resembled a power up from an Anime... even though to Akira it felt unnatural. But he wanted help with this issue.

Reaching out to a psychiatrist with the help of his father, it was deduced that he may be suffering from a former of PTSD from his mother's passing and his defense mechanism is "Drenz" taking over. The doctor suggested Akira take some time to himself, maybe play some video games or another hobby other than writing and take a break from his own mind for a while.

So, Yosano explained the advice given to him by his doctor, prompting Toya to pull some strings, and enter his son into a rare set of ten thousand gamers trying a VRMMO named Sword Art Online, made by a renowned scientist named Akihiko Kaiba. A little unsure at first, with prodding on by his sister Honoka, Akira finally decided to take his father up on the offer.

Suiting up in the gear for the first time, Honoka helping him set up, Yosano layed on his bed and told his sister he'll see her later... for what could be the last time.

    Link start...

And with that, a true horror began... Akira, like the other 9,999 other players, was told how now Aincrad is their new reality... until they can climb the hundred floors and beat the game. Death in game, meant death in real life... and from one tragedy to another, the boy finally snapped. Yosano was scared, huddled into a corner crying, surely feeling as if his death was assured. He wasn't a "gamer" or one for technology, he was a reader and writer. He was a coward. That word resonated in his mind... coward... coward... coward... until his brain couldn't take it anymore. Soon, Drenz arrived. Taking over, now with confidence and a different persona, he talked himself out of his misery. Telling himself he would take over and get them out of this situation. Now in deep learning the basics of the game and how to play, Drenz's goal is to join the Assault Team on the Frontline and help everyone, including himself leave Aincrad once and for all.

    Personality -

Naive with his head always in a book/ phone or with a pencil and notebook in his hand, Akira Yosano was the type to rely on his imagination to guide him and shelter him from a cruel world. One where he felt inadequate after the death of his mother from Cancer. Wanting to be like the heroes he writes about, he couldn't find the strength to give his mom the support he felt she needed... instead receding to the deepest reaches of his mind. Soft hearted, he can be easily manipulated at times, but a stubborn youth, once he sets his mind to something there is no changing it.

Whenever Akira was in a tough situation or he felt like he couldn't handle what was in front of him after his mother's passing, he changed into Drenz in his mind. His sort of alter ego and hero of his writings that is confident, strong willed, brave, headstrong and sarcastic. A 360 from Yosano, who is often timid, reserved and cowardly.

When he found himself locked in a death game as it is popularly coined, the shock of fear, doubt and paranoia broke the young man's mind, making him revert almost completely into his alter ego. As Akira fell short as he realized his true situation now, Drenz has taken the helm, ensuring the both of them survive... as well as anyone he finds along the way.

    Virtues:

Courageous - Drenz's courage is nothing to sneeze at. He will do whatever comes ahead, if it is tough trial or not, all in the name of survival and escape. He will also pluck someone out of danger if the need arises, showing passion for the heroic persona he has adopted.

Adaptive - Drenz can often adapt to any situation thrusted upon him. So, he can come up with strategies that can seem ridiculous to some, but will get him out of dodge. This is one of his strongest attributes as he will come up with an idea on the fly for most any situation that comes up, be it a strategy for battle or a plan for an upcoming quest.

Gallant - Rounding out his other virtues, Drenz is as brave as they come. Non flinching in the face of danger and willing to take on the hardest task if it means alleviating a companion, he is stalwart in his pursuit of survival of himself and those around him. Chivalrous, Drenz would give up an arm if it meant saving the damsel in distress, which is also a flash of weakness at times if coupled with naivety.

    Flaws:

Naive - Akira lacks real world experience, as he always ignored play outside and wasn't much into the internet. His nose 'often in a book, Yosano would use his drawings and writings to take him to distant places in his mind. Due to this, he also lacks common sense and shows a true obliviousness for the often obvious.

Soft hearted - Going hand in hand with his previous flaw, Drenz is a bleeding heart. He always wants to help those in need even if it means hurting himself, a way he feels he can repent for his former inadequacies. He can be easily taken advantage of and manipulated at times because of this.

Reckless - Drenz is headstrong. Like the main character from his stories, Yosano finds himself always jumping at the first sign of someone needing help or if he feels something is right. Often times even putting himself at risk, he will do whatever it takes once he has his mind set, short of killing someone.
