History

Beatrice grew up in the South, Texas to be exact. She worked on a farm alongside her 4 other sisters' but never really connected with them. They were girly and lazed around while she was always busy and occupying herself with work. Afterwards while they did makeovers and talk on the phone with their friends for what seemed forever, Bea rolled around in the mud and rode horses. Her whole family could be marked as your typical Southern household, though Bea and her father were really the only ones' to work around the farm. The others' traveled fairly often to participate in pageants and runway competitions. She'd been invited to join multiple times due to being extremely tall with the face of an angel, but Bea would rather hang with the guys, gamble at horse races, and play sports rather than drop everything to become a living doll. Not to say that she didn't want to leave Texas because she really did. The state and daily routine had gotten old for her, even the friends she had were now boring though she kept to it as there was no other choice; not to mention that she'd feel extremely guilty if she dare asked her father to take off even a day's worth of work.

Quite honestly she'd never even used much technology before Sword Art Online, always outside or doing something that didn't revolve around electronics. But once she discovered the system that one of her sister's had won at a high-tiered pageant competition in Japan, she just had to play it. Even if video games weren't really her forte. Luckily her sibling tossed it, feeling disappointed that she won something "so lame" and made sure to tell Bea that it would be sold the next morning. So Beatrice only had the one night to do everything she wanted in said virtual world before giving the amazing opportunity away. Unfortunately - for her sister - the system would have to stay with the family after Bea logged in.

Personality

Bea in a nutshell would be a young, bubbly, social butterfly with extreme trust issues and enough jokes to use every day of the year. She has a soft-heart that's not only vulnerable but caring and pure. The girl can, and won't, tell a lie. Not to say that she's naive or gullible. In fact, Bea doesn't trust a single person no matter how nice they are to her or how she treats them. The thought of getting close to someone who could destroy her life or break her heart sends chills down the girl's spine. She can't stand the thought of falling in love. Fortunately, she's still a social butterfly with a contagious optimistic attitude - unless, of course, it comes to thinking about what others' intentions are - and kind soul. Most who are mature can't stand her constant jokes and outlooks even in the most dire of situations; Bea couldn't become serious for the life of her. Paying attention is also an action that she has problems with performing. She'll follow any rules sent her way due to being someone who listens to authorities without a question, but that doesn't mean she won't drift off elsewhere or play along the way.

Her displays of emotion are a bit over-bearing as some would say. She doesn't enjoy the limelight but can't help having it constantly shining on her since all of her feelings become exaggerated in some way, all the time. And she won't hesitate to tell you exactly how she feels about something. If she's excited or happy than her hyperness will shine through, leading to a bouncy, can't-sit-still attitude. If she's sad than she'll cry and complain about how "depressed" she is, falling into a state of very, very low moral that's hard to pick up. Every wave of emotion is a surprise and you never know what'll come next. Despite this being a flaw of her's it gives Bea a great sense of understanding the feelings of others' with ease. It doesn't matter what you're feeling, Bea will always try to find a way to lift your spirits - if it's a negative emotion - or enhance said feelings - if it's a positive emotion - with love, compassion, and warmth. Anyone with a similar personality - a naturally good person without hesitation - will be valued in her eyes as she's very cynical. It takes more than just a few smiles and emotional connection to gain her trust, but once you do you've got a honest, kind, amusing friend by your side.

Virtues

- Integrity: Beatrice will most likely be the most trustworthy and honest person you'll ever meet. She could never tell a lie, even if her attempts were strong they'd just be futile in the end. Being cooperative and listening to authorities without a second question are exactly the things that are in her agenda. Her high moral, fairness, truthfulness, and overall good character are the perfect traits to create a true hero. Though she will, without a doubt, help anyone in need and do her best to be a worthy person, this virtue won't change her view on anyone else despite the fact that she's such a kind and caring person. You could say she has a sense of righteousness and not be far from the truth.

- Lively: Being a very playful girl who enjoys having and making everything fun, Beatrice is hard to keep down and especially calm when she's hyper. This gives her a great sense of humor and the most optimistic personality possible for a girl of her age. Bea tries to make everyone around her as happy as she is no matter the situation; it's hard for her to be or stay mad - and not only because she distances herself from others' - because her levels of moral are constantly high from an energetic and frisky attitude. This virtue, at times, can make her seem like a bubbly girl without a care or trouble in the world, no matter how untrue that may be.

- Compassion: Beatrice seems to be able to understand the feelings of anyone and everyone around her. She has a special ability that allows her to connect with others' on an emotional level, even if they're a stranger. Despite her cynical view of the world she has extreme and immediate sympathy for everyone, especially those who are experiencing or going through emotional tension. Along with her sensitivity, Bea is the perfect person to have around when you need support or good advice from someone you can trust to know what they're talking about and with your secrets. Even those who've wronged Beatrice can receive her utmost compassion. Though she won't stick around long after helping you. Once the deed is done, she's gone.

Flaws

- Curiosity: You know how they say that "curiosity kills the cat"? Well Beatrice couldn't give ten cents about that quote or whoever made it up. She does what her mind tells her to do if it becomes interested in something she doesn't quite understand. It doesn't matter how dangerous said something looks or what exactly it is, as long as she can attempt to find out even the smallest facts that's all that matters. Beatrice can become over-excited when she wants to discover new things or all the more stubborn because she needs to find out about whatever's bothering her. Nearly everything in sight - especially now that she's in Aincrad - piques her easily gained interest as she has a strong spirit of inquiry.

- Cynical Attitude: Despite the fact that she would give an arm and leg to anybody who needs it without a moment of hesitation, Beatrice doesn't trust anyone to do the same. She believes that in a kill-or-be-killed world that people will do anything that benefits themselves even if said action, or actions, take down others' residing on their paved paths. She keeps a keen eye on those around her and fears that if anyone gets close to her they're only using her and will take her apart piece by piece. Beatrice is a helper and cares for everyone but that doesn't change her view of whomever she assists. Humans are destructive and selfish - if they haven't proven not to be - in her eyes; and if they aren't now than they will be eventually. Not to say that Beatrice doesn't value anyone who has as much integrity or compassion as she does because if the blonde can find something good about you than she'll cherish the virtue, no doubt. As a cynic she values anything positive about another person that could contribute to her trusting them at some point in her life.

- Overemotional: Everything you say will either feel like music to Beatrice's ears or sharp knives to her gut. She takes words seriously and once you hurt her feelings she won't dare forgive you because she never forgets anything harsh that's spoken by another. Though this is helpful in a way, it'll mean that if you compliment her it'll be easy to get on the girl's good side and become a little bit more trustworthy in her eyes. However, this mostly is a flaw because mixed with her cynical attitude it can easily taint her view of the people in her life. She cries a lot and won't be bothered to quit once she starts unless it's for a good reason, even in public. Once in an emotional state it's hard to bring her out of it and she becomes reckless to extreme measures. Beatrice's heart is incredibly soft and she'd honestly rather have you break her bones rather than the vulnerable organ. Every one of her emotions is displayed like a show being put on. Excitement, sadness, anger, hatred; you name any emotion and you can bet you'll see her show it at one point during the time you know her.
