Even from the trees he could hear the baying and howling from within, and soon saw the rest of the pack that called the crevasse home. They were four strong and angry, both at the loss of their leaders and the rock he had tossed, charging the treeline where he was to tear into his flesh. He dodged two of them, circling around the trees for protection, but the last one he avoided caused him to leave his cover behind, and the last wave made Brax pay for it, hammering him with tackles that would have felled a lesser man. He took the blows on the chin, however, and in response set his Lumberjack into motion, the three wide sweeping attacks catching every one of them in the crosshairs. Amidst their dying pixels, he gathered his loot and made his way to the cave where hopefully no more surprises awaited. Once inside, his exhaustion took hold, and as he sank into a near comatose state, he hoped as much as was possible for him that he survived the long nap.
