     Brax was almost inclined not to search the kitchen, his frustration was so great, but he knew that he would need to at least partially search the place to see if something would pop out.  Luckily, hidden away in a cabinet was a bit of foodstuffs, the likes of which a cook could make decent use of.  The materials were relatively basic, but with the right touch they could make a decent meal.  His attitude was slightly appeased by the find, but only just, and he made his way back to the foyer in pursuit of the second floor, thinking that the trip could not have been for nothing.

     Re-entering the foyer, he found another group of bandits waiting for his presence, probably spawned as a result of him clearing the rest of the floor.  They were slightly stronger in power, clad in much more supple looking leather armor and brandishing cleaner looking blades, and as they attacked he could feel their AI was much more keen in their anticipatory battle instincts.  Their skills were much more on par with his own, landing several deep blows before he was able to strike back with his Trample Act.  His shoulder managed to throw one off of him, and he relaxed as the Cardinal carried him through the Sword Art, sweeping through the rest of the bandits in short order.  He picked up their dropped loot and looked up the stairs.  His next challenged awaited him there.
