Another pack of wolves stood between Brax and safety, and he would not let the group stand in his way.  They flanked the man clad in his heavy armor, looking for any chinks that might tell of a weakness.  Brax was keen to get the battle finished, as he was thinking his potion would soon fail and leave him undefended against their merciless assault.  That would not be an outcome to be desired, if he could desire a thing to begin with.  Moving swiftly, he activated his Epitaph to spur his feet onward, and at the onset of his charge the wolves threw themselves in his path, biting and scratching at his to little avail.  His defenses, it seemed, would hold out.  Brax pushed the mob back on it's heels, clumping them together with his broad arms, and as he brought his shoulder to bear down on them his body moved automatically, his Trample Act already in effect.  A last sweep of his mighty axe ended the conflict, and he hurriedly collected the loot droppings as he ran to the town of Snowfrost.

Finally within the safe haven, Brax stopped to catch his breath a moment before looking around for an inn to rest and recuperate.  It seemed he would need a drink, as well, to steady his weary body for his future endeavors, whatever they might be.
