[PP-F1] First day in the wild. <Complete>

Tonan woke up from her sleep. It was late at night, but she could barely get any sleep at all. Ever since the day that the big news was out about the death game, she was trapped in here, with no hope to return to the real world, not that she ever wanted to do so. Trapped inside this game was probably the best thing that had ever happened to her. Her life up until this point was a living hell. Even if she had to kill herself, no way in heaven of hell will she ever agreed to return back to the real world. This is where she really belongs, inside this virtual world made by Kayaba. In here, she felt like home.

"I guess today I should start leveling up?" She told herself, looking forward to the sun rising. She decided to make the first move, and make her way out of town.

Hunting this early in the morning is risky. There was no one around for you to called for help. If you got yourself in a sticky situation, you're all on your own,. Right on the outskirts of town, Tonan found a boar roaming stray from the pack. Withdrew her knife from just behind her back, she crept up onto the boar. When the boar turned and put it aggro onto her, Tonan speed towards it and attack. She drove the spear straight into the boars head. Before it could do anything to her, it's health bar depleted, and the boar burst into millions of pieces. "Heh... Easy kill." Tonan smirked, juggling her knife around before putting it back into the sheath.

Walking around for a while, Tonan tried her best to avoid the monster that are grouping up. "It's still so early in the morning! Everyone is still sleeping... what a bunch of lazy people." She sighed, looking back at Town of Beginning. She still couldn't see anyone coming out. "I might as well start to find something." She told herself, as Tonan went off into another direction to find another monster.

Finally, she found something. Another boar astray from the pack. Readied her spear, she lunged forward and thrust her spear forward. The boar was unaware of where the girl came from, so caught off guard, it couldn't retaliate in time. Tonan's spear quickly impales the boar, before she retracted her spear and fall back, before the boar could swung its tusk and attacked her. Focusing on the battle, she wanted to make sure that she didn't die from such a lesser monster.

Tonan took a few step back before charged at the boar again. However, this time, the boar moved forward, causing the girl to missed her attack. The sharp tusk chipped the girl at her knee, before the boar run away for a while, before turning back and faced the girl. Tonan's health dropped to red level, and she was aware of that. One more attack and that would be the end of her.

Fear started to strike in her heart, as she could imagine her life flashing by. She couldn't think of anything but the fact that her life could end at any moment. Her legs began to tremble, and her hand froze. From the fear of her life might end at any moment, she froze in front of the boar. As it squealed and charged toward the girl. She fell onto her knee in fear. Then, a loud clang. Just as she thought her life has ended, she opened her eyes and saw not her life ending, but a man, a man with dark hair and a brown coat.

Walking back to floor one for a few order he needed to pick up, Nobuyuki decided to take off early so he could use the rest of the day on more grinding. However while on his way to the Town of Beginning, Nobuyuki saw a girl. She seemed like she's trembling before her feet standing in front of a boar. Vision of the first time he saw something similar happened, and the guy in that situation died. He would be damned if he let the same thing happened, not under his watch. Speed toward the boar and the girl as fast as he could, Nobuyuki had his sword drawn readied. He jumped in between and took the hit, blocking the attack for the little girl. "You ok?" Nobuyuki asked, forgot that the boar is still alive. He's more concern of the girl and her blinking red health bar.

Tonan was mixed with emotion in that moment. She was confused of why did this stranger saved her. She hasn't even seen him anywhere around town. Why is he here, why did he choosed to save her in the first place? With those confused thoughts are images of her life ending, of her standing in front of her impending doom. Her body almost paralyzed. She wanted to move, but her body wasn't responding. That is when she saw the boar charging toward the two. "Watch out!" She shouted, dragging both of them aside as she avoid the attack.

Sat up on the ground with his sword in hand, Nobuyuki glance over at the boar, getting ready to charged at them for another attack. "Don't worry about it. Just lay low and keep an eye out for any other monsters coming." Nobuyuki lightly tap onto the girl's shoulder to calm her down. With his weapon in hand, Nobuyuki readied his battling pose and waited for the boar to come at him. His sword blade glowed dark blue, as he thrust his sword forward. The boar took the hit head on, as it fell a side and burst to million of pixels

Even after the stranger has killed the boar, Tonan still couldn't stop shaking. Just moments ago she was on the verge of death, and has it not been for this man to save her, she would've been a goner now. She panted hard, as droplet of sweat rolled down from her face. "Who... Who are you? Why did you save me?" She stuttered, trying to calm herself. Tonan wanted to know the reason why.  There must be a purpose why he decided to do so.

Sheathed his sword back to behind him, strapped to his back, Nobuyuki stood up and looked behind hime, at the little girl sitting on the ground still. "Hmm? Oh... Sorry for that. I guess our meeting came in a pretty shuttle situation. I'm Tobi, nice to meet you." Nobuyuki gave her his fake name, smiling. He offered her a hand to helped her get up from the grass floor. "It's nothing. Don't worry about it. I just couldn't let another person die to this game. At least not on my watch." He said, still keeping the bright smile on his face. Turning around, he waved goodbye to the little girl, was Nobuyuki returned to his usual business

"No... He's lying. There's no way he really wanted to help. He must be onto something." Tonan speculated, looking at Nobuhuki as he slowly trod away. She got back up onto her feet, and thought for a while. Finally, she decided to stealthily follow Tobi to see where will this guy go and what is he up to. 

Standing just behind a rock, she hid away from Tobi, spying on him. "What are you up to now, Tobi." The girl thought to herself as she peaked over the boulder and see where did he go.

Walking for a while, Nobuyuki had a feeling that he's being watched by something, or someone. Turned around, he saw the girl back in the grassfield. She's the one that he has saved from the boar. "Why is she following me, and why is she hiding?" Nobuyuki asked. He approached to the Boulder where she hid, and crouched down. The moment she peak her head over to see where he is, he stood right in front of her view. "Hey there." He greeted, somewhat startled the young girl.

The moment To an peaked over the rock, she saw Tobi crouching down in front of her face and greeted her. She jumped and nearly fallen onto her back. She did not expect Nobuyuki to be this close toward her, and she did not think that she was found that easily. "You scared the crap out of me you..." Tonan scowled at Tobi for scaring her, but she restrained herself from finishing the sentence.

"Well.. Sorry for that, I didn't mean to scared you." Nobuyuki smiled. He jumped off the boulder, and extended his hand, offering his help to the little girl. Pulled her up from the ground, Nobuyuki asked his questions. "Now... Why did you follow me? And why did you hide behind this rock? Something the matter?" He asked with curiosity. He wanted to know what is her purpose for following him around. The place here isn't safe for her, especially where he was going.

"I just wanted the truth! Tell me why you helped me?!" Tonan asked, pushing Tobi's hand aside. She was getting mad now that he's still playing around, and joking with her, as if nothing really important happened. "I just wanted to know what's your motivation. Why did you save me? I don't even know you." She stood up from the ground, and standing right next to Tobi. Scowling at him, Tonan hinted that she wanted the truth, and no more lies.

Nobuyuki sighed. He stood still, as the warrior explained to the confused and frustrated girl. "Look, I'll tell you the truth, just relax. The thing is, I don't really have a reason in doing so. I just do it because I see someone's lives is in peril." Nobuyuki explained to her why he did it. "I have saw many many people died before, and I don't wanted to let people die like that, not if I could do anything about it." Nobuyuki still kept the smile on his face, as he turned around and walked away again. "I didn't even know her name.... Nobuyuki how will you ever get a girl?" He asked himself sarcastically, judging himself.

"He... really did just wanted to to save me, didn't asked for rewards, or anything." Tonan came to the realization that Tobi did really just wanted to save her. Throughout her days in the streets, she has fallen into the trap where one set up a scene to acquire a favor from someone else. But Tobi isn't one of them. She started to feel bad for scowling at him. Looking at the man as he walked further and further away, she hesitated a bit, then shouted out loud. "Hey! My name is Tonan! Thanks for saving me!"

Nobuyuki was startled when he heard Tonan shouting her name out loud. He had not expected the ending to go like this. The warrior stopped, looking back as he came face to face with the girl. Searching through his inventory, he pulled out a basic teleport crystal, and tossed it over to the girl. "I won't be needing this much. Maybe it might come in handy later on when you get in troubles. Just held the crystal and call the name of whichever city you have been to, it will bring you there." Nobuyuki explained how the teleporting crystal works for Tonan. He had a few regret when he had to give up something so expensive to someone else, but at the same time, he did not wanted the girl to die, so what done is done.

Tonan catched the Basic Teleport crystal. She stood and watch as Tobi walked away and left her. "Strange guy." She told herself, accepting the gift he gave her. With her life inches away from being ended by just a lesser monster, Tonan felt like it's time for her to return to town, before she get killed. She turned around and followed the dirt trail back town. "What a rough day.... But hey, new pickup loot." She told herself, fell down on the bed of an inn room she had rented. her face grew a wide smirk. Someone kind and as naive as Tobi here, she could definitely use him in the future.
