Evander 0 Posted February 24, 2016 Author #21 Report Share Posted February 24, 2016 After the stars had come out upon the earth, after the moon had risen high into the sky, after what felt like ageless eternities spent in mourning had passed, Evander stood. He bowed his head in silent respect for these strangers who had lost their lives. Had they lost it for noble reasons, protecting the lives of others? Had their life been spent in folly, overestimating their own abilities? Had their lives been spent for malicious purposes, spent in order to increase the suffering of others? He did not know. And, yet, Evander felt as if he knew all of these poor, unfortunate souls personally. "I'm sorry..." Evander whimpered out, then, steeling his resolve, he turned away from the monument and walked out of the building. Evander laughed inwardly towards himself in a melancholic manner- he was getting so sentimental for those he did not know! However, even if they were the most vile man on earth, they deserved at least one to mourn for them. Evander thought for a long while, and looked up at the moon, its dim light shining brightly in the darkness. Link to post Share on other sites
