Darius Verand 0 Posted February 26, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 26, 2016 Floor 4... the Winter Wonderland. It was Darius' favorite floor, if he could have favorites. The cold was what he liked the most. The biting chill, snagging wind, and tufts of snow kept his body covered in goosebumps. It left his core to smolder, like a hot bed of coals cooling against the open air. He had stood outside of an inn for some time, letting the chill seep through him and his armor. After a deep sigh he went inside, finding a stool at the bar. His dragon-themed armor clinked loudly and let a cold current waft behind him, chilling the inhabitants that were there before him. As he settled onto his stool, the cape on his back shifted slightly, the dull burgundy seeming to shine briefly like a flame for a moment. He ordered with two simple words, "Warm milk," and let the inn keeper do the rest. He sipped silently to himself, letting the warm milk seep through his body, purposely oblivious to those around him. Icarus 0 Posted February 26, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 26, 2016 Thunk. The door to Icarus' studio seated firmly within its jamb after he gave it a full-bodied pull; the force of which caused a tattering heap of snow to fall from the building's roof and narrowly miss landing on the blue haired man just beneath it. Turning away from the building, he let his emerald gaze fall upon the town of Snowfrost, regarding the settlement from his vantage point in quiet contemplation. It was still too early for him to retire to bed for the evening and the town was showing all sorts of signs of life - businesses lit up with glowing windows, people walking the snow-covered streets, and adventurers battling wolves in the valley just beyond, to name a few. Yet, no task of necessary importance willed him to stop procrastinating. What's the weather setting at? It's terrible out here tonight. His dawdling left him susceptible to the cold winter chill hanging in the winds, which attacked him through the thin material of his starting clothes and rattled his spine with a shiver from head to tailbone. If he was going to be spending the most of his free time on such a cold floor, it would be smart of him to see a tailor and acquire a new set of clothing that would be more protective against the elements. It was either that, or level up and become to the harshness of the cold entirely. That didn't sound nearly as appealing to him as a fancy pair of winter clothing - heck, he might even get something he'd look good in. Regardless, there was always a place he could go where Jack Frost couldn't nip at his uncovered nose: the Inn. Shoveling his hands deep into the pockets of his canvas pants like his survival depended on it, Icarus started to make his way down the long, laid brick stairway that led down the hill from his studio to the back of town. Sometimes, he wished he didn't set up shop so far off the beaten path but the benefits of seclusion outweighed the desire to be closer to town. His large body naturally tried to huddle in on itself for warmth as he made his way onto the street and in the direction of the inn.
Darius Verand 0 Posted February 26, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted February 26, 2016 Darius continued to sit in silence, barely acknowledging the chatter that came from such a place as people cast glances his way. He had subconsciously chosen the seat farthest away from the fireplace, the location where all of the other players seemed to swarm. Darius disliked the warmth. Cold was what he was... What he is. His helmet had the mouth portion left open, meaning he could drink with ease and not have to remove it. This meant that he was a silent, armor clad player who avoided the rest, being rather odd as to move away from the fire on such a cold night. No one made an attempt to talk to him, leaving him be. He preferred it that way. Silence was his.
yukisuzuki 0 Posted February 27, 2016 #4 Share Posted February 27, 2016 Walks into the inn with a shiver from the cold outside. I sit at an stool trying to avoid contact with any other players. Has no helmet just all black clothing with my swords on my back. I sit on the bar stool thinking about my plan to move to the next floor. I look down the bar and i see a player only 2 stools away. I quickly turn away incase if he notices me. He has huge bulky dragon amor that makes him more scary than he probably is. I rest my head on my hand and i stare off into space thinking of what skills i could improve and what i must do to get to the next floor.
