Darius Verand 0 Posted February 28, 2016 Author #21 Share Posted February 28, 2016 (edited) It was as if the universe was trying to prove him wrong even in the thought that the universe wanted to prove him wrong because it hated him. It was a giant, ironic, contradictory mess that philosophers would have a blast tackling and wasting hours discussing. Hours that Darius wasted in his head were practically the same. He was a philosopher in his own way, or so he thought as he contemplated whether or not the universe hated him, storing a bug away as a material. That was two in a row, something that almost never happened. He was sure this spree of good luck was just a trick by the universe in order to get his hopes up and keep him confident so it could crush him later. With that in mind, he started to head back to town, continuing to search. +1 to Darius' material find count (5 total) ID: 49590 LD: 13 Edited February 28, 2016 by Darius Verand
Darius Verand 0 Posted February 28, 2016 Author #22 Share Posted February 28, 2016 (edited) As if almost confirming his theory, Darius found nothing on his hour back. It WAS ironic how such things happened. It truly was. He was ready to go back to town and go order his equipment, but he wanted one more material so he could do his two crafting attempts for the day. As much as buying his equipment was important to him, his crafting was equally important. If he could become a high tier crafter then he could make potions that could aid him even more. The more aid he got, the easy all of this became. The easier it became, the faster he could climb the ranks and joint he front lines. The faster he joined the frontlines, the faster he could clear the game. The faster he could clear the game, the faster he could get home. Not that he wanted that. He was unsure whether he enjoyed Aincrad more than his old life or not. Both certainly had its ups and down. He continued searching. Darius Verand 0 Posted February 28, 2016 Author #23 Share Posted February 28, 2016 (edited) But yet again, his luck left him. He found nothing in his search. He wasn't sure if it was worth it to keep looking or not, as he was unsure on whether or not he would even find anything over the next several hours of prospective looking. It was rather monotonous, but he supposed fighting monsters would become monotonous eventually, except you got more materials and some form of Col from killing them. He could do with both, and soon, so he juggled the notion of just going and ordering his equipment, or continuing to search so he could find another material to be able to do his to crafts. He continued searching, hoping that for once, his luck would turn out right. ID: 49592 LD: 7 Edited February 28, 2016 by Darius Verand
Darius Verand 0 Posted February 28, 2016 Author #24 Share Posted February 28, 2016 (edited) But by god, the creator, his excellency, the maker of this world, Akihiko, decided to stiff arm Darius like a running back stiff arming the defence in order to go make a touchdown. Darius, unable to help himself, punched a tree, cracking the bark and denting his armor. Not that his armor would matter anymore. He would get new armor soon, but he REALLY wanted to find one last material. It would be counter productive to do only one craft a day and he didn't feel like going out and searching later tonight. He wanted to get his armor, do his crafts, then go chase monsters to be able t crush them under his heel, getting a plentiful bounty of materials and Col. He continued searching, more than a little angered. ID: 49593 LD: 15 Edited February 28, 2016 by Darius Verand
Darius Verand 0 Posted February 28, 2016 Author #25 Share Posted February 28, 2016 (edited) As if to placate Darius and his anger, his excellency, the creator of this fantastic world, Akihiko, decided to give Darius one more material. A dark red mushroom grew in a fallen over, hollowed out tree. Darius plucked with a lot less than all of the care in the world, not worrying whether or not it might be poisonous or guarded by something nasty inside the back of the log. He wanted that last material so he could return to his workshop, do his crafts, then go get his armor. And by god that it what he intended to do. He jogged back, working up a sweat, and locked himself in his workshop with his new supplies. He finally had enough to get him over the giant hump that was a player's start. +1 to Darius' material find count (6 total) Edited February 28, 2016 by Darius Verand
