About: History/personality

Tori was born to a wealthy family in Tokyo. Unfortunately, she was born with a condition where her body failed to produce the growth hormones needed to mature at a normal rate. While this didn't affect her very much in her younger years, it became a problem in Jr. High and High School. Compared to the other girls her age, Tori could never compare in height, and lacked the personal endowment that most of the boys her age looked for. Many of her friends treated her like a little sister and often confided in her, but never saw her as more than that. In an effort to earn their respect and the others on her class, Tori decided harder than she ever had before. Even when she was nearly a 4.0 student, her peers still treated her as the adorable braniac in the class. Some even ventured to rumor her parents paid off the teachers for her grades. While she honestly earned her own grades, the rumor was partially true.

Since Tori couldn't quite compete with the other girls in the athletics courses, Tori struggled to maintain high grades. Her instructor didn't see the need to treat a rich brat better than the rest of the class. While Tori was actually good of heart, this class of all the others, hurt her the most deep down. In fact, it wore so heavily on her, she couldn't hide it with a smile and her parents did indeed get involved. After their involvement, Tori received passing grades even though her performance lacked in comparison. Because of the trauma and humiliation with that particular class, Tori leaned more toward the competition of gaming. Over the internet, people couldn't judge you by appearance. Especially when you could customize your avatar as tall, curvy, or sensual as you wanted. When the news of a virtual MMORPG reached her, Tori wouldn't let her parents hear the end of it. She had to have SAO. Her parents, doting as they were, shipped her both the game and a custom NerveGear. When Tori received it, she rushed to her dorm, set up the game, and...

Tori spent a good few hours making just the perfect avatar. Here, in this world, she could actually be tall, mature, and strong. She picked an avatar appropriately so: nearly six feet in height, well endowed chest, full hips, narrow waist, slender legs, and long curling locks of hair. Finally content with her new self, Tori began SAO. No sooner did she spawn in, did she get teleported to the city square where the news was given to everyone. Tori received her mirror like everyone else and in it, she saw her perfect self. Then, like everyone else, she was changed back to reflect her true form. Tori's dreams were crushed and now she was trapped.

She slammed the mirror into the ground, looked up to the fading GM, and clenched her teeth. The only thought left in her mind was to beat this stupid game and when she was free, kick the creator as hard as she could square in his no-no place. Determined, Tori stormed off into the world of SAO, prepared to be treated like she always was in the real world.

Virtues:

Intelligent: In order to impress her friends and earn respect, Tori tried studied night and day to become top of her class. She aimed to major in engineering and minor in physics. Even with this knowledge, people still viewed her as this braniac little child. Thusly, it only upped her cute factor to much of her dismay. Unfortunately, Tori is not inherently intelligent. It took long hours and hard work to get where she is. Therefore, she struggles to adapt to new concepts on the fly. Often forgetting basics or becoming too stressed out to perform as confidently as something she knows. 

Strong Morality: Tori has a strong sense of right and wrong. This often forces her to swallow her frustrations when dealing with her condition. Since she is quick to anger when treated like a little girl, she will always take the higher path either by storming off or changing the subject. While the girl holds grudges quite easily and commonly, she still treats her enemies with the moral respect as anyone else. She might not be nice to them or plot terrible pranks, but she would never wish them harm or deep despair.

Determined: Tori has been determined to be just like everyone else. She wants to be a tall, lean, full figured teenager at any cost. She learned complex scholastic theories just to earn her peers' respect. Now, trapped in this death game, she is determined to do what it takes to get out. There's a guy who stole everything she could have ever wanted in a matter of seconds. She wants to meet him and give him a piece of her adorable little mind.

Flaws:

Short Fuse: Tori has dealt with her appearance for a majority of her teenage life. In a time where emotions run rampant and status is dictated by superficial means and sharp wit, Tori often finds herself losing her cool when targeted for her short stature, lack of womanly wiles, and adorable voice. All it takes is someone to call her "short" or "little girl" to throw her into a fit of rage. While she has mixed feelings about the words "cute", "adorable", and "loveable", they can also trigger a similar response based on context and tone.

Insecure:  While actually more mentally mature than most and quick to anger, Tori is incredibly fragile. Any time she gets upset, a part of her is horribly wounded. She hates her condition and desperately wishes she could be normal. Nights where she has cried herself to sleep are unfortunately common. She desperately tries to put on a front and be as independant as possible when deep down, she's just a girl. She wants to know love, to be admired for who she is, and to be seen as anything but that cute little sister. Should someone hostilely attack her and aggressively state she'll never be a real woman or be taken seriously, Tori might not be able to keep up her facade and completely break down. While it hasn't happened yet, there have been a few close calls.

Adorable: You might be thinking, "How is this a flaw?!". Well, big shot, why don't you try to be taken seriously when you look like you're ready to cuddle up with a teddy and snuggle into daddy's arm for a bed time story! Do you have any idea what it's like to be treated like this your whole life?! Now that I finally had a shot at being normal, that jerky jerk face took it away from me! What party is ever going to seriously want a little girl on their team? They'd probably just treat me like some little Chobits familiar! AND WHY DID I HAVE TO PICK THE DAGGER CLASS?! Ugh... I hate this game...
