Lowenthal scanned the horizon as he stood atop a hill. Below him was a small encampment of NPC bandits, and inside it was a lot of crafting materials. Supposedly, there were crafting materials. His agent had never been wrong before, but it just seemed so out there. A place where materials infinitely spawned? Impossible. Even if they did spawn in random locations, he was sure that if it was true that players would be all over it by now. It had been what, seven months since the game had trapped them? And since this was on such a low lever some higher leveled players would have no issue cleaning house, and getting a few quick materials.

Lowenthal dropped to one knee, as he tried to get a clearer picture. There were some guards posted outside, and a few patrolling the walls. A much larger one seemed the be barking orders at them. Obviously he was the man in charge. Lowenthal wondered, how his kunai would do damage if he couldn’t get past all of his fat. He chuckled, and heard a noise from behind him. Lowenthal quickly spun, only to have his world cut to black.

Lowenthal woke up some time later. Only to not be on the hill he was, but now inside of a cell. He cursed himself, for letting someone get the jump on him like that. Lowenthal looked around his surroundings. Three walls, a ceiling, a floor, and an iron gate that was most likely locked. So, he was trapped in here by the NPC bandits and now he had to get out of here. Using his Unique ability, <Shadowed Path> Lowenthal easily escaped from his binds. And when he did, a quest menu appeared. Lowenthal sighed, as he accepted it. He looked around the room, wondering what the next step was.

Stepping over to the gate, he looked at the lock. It had a small prompt menu appear, and it told him he could either; A. Bash the gate down, or B. Pick the lock. Lowenthal pondered the choices, and listened closely. He could hear faint shuffling, and chatting from down the hall. Bashing the gate down would certaintly bring attention to himself. And with no backup, or an idea of how many bandits there were. That was something he’d want to avoid.p on him like that. Lowenthal looked around his surroundings. Lowenthal activated the prompt to pick the lock, and after watching a circle spin around the lock for a few moments it came up with red letters, stating that he had failed. Oh good, RNG. Lowenthal always had a knack for that mystical thing that was 'luck'. He sighed, as he hit the prompt again.

Another moment later, the red letters appeared again. But this time followed by 'one more try remaning'. Oh good, limited amount of times he can try, before having to resort to kicking the door down. Hesitantly, Lowenthal clicked the button again, and stared at the spinning circle as it generated his chances.

Again the red letters appeared, marking him for failure again. The prompt to pick the lock disappeared, and with that Lowenthal et out an angry. "[censored]!" He said as he walked back to the back of the room. RNG was garbage, and now he had to kick the door down. He had no issue with it, but it just wasn't the way he wanted things to go.

Failing to pick the pick, a frustrated Lowenthal brought his leg up, and kicked the iron gate which held him captive. The noise it made, Christ the amount of noise it made. If the guards didn’t come running in, Lowenthal would be surprised. The kick took a bit of energy from him, and took a step back to regather himself. He prepared for another kick. And rushed the door again.

Lowenthal kicked the door again, his foot shaking the rust free and the door visibly moving. It made a different noise this time around, as it creaked more than crashed into itself. The guards had stopped talking, and were now obviously making thier way to him. A few more kicks, and the gate would be open, then Lowe could use his skill to disappear into the shadows, and get away from them.
