[PP-F2] Three Of Them?! <<Long Live the Queen>> (Michiko, Magda)

Recommended Posts

I raised an arm to the incoming stinger, and my coat caught the brunt of the damage, chipping away such a minuscule amount of my health it looked like I had not lost any. A sharp slashing quickly followed, the thorns effects slashing into the tiny body of the wasp, the loss of blood causing it to drop slightly, to the perfect height for me to draw my fist back, glowing a gentle aqua, and land a deadly punch on the bug, shattering it into shards of blue data. A grey box popped up showing the material I received and I grinned. "Bloody hell... better luck collecting materials here than on the higher floors..." I murmured to myself, closing the pop-up and turning around to look across the windy hills of Floor Two. I had not been there in quite some time... in fact, it was where I had met Opal for the first time and fell for her. Now, though, Opal had changed, and Jevi had become my 'special someone', which I was more than happy to live with. A flash of red interrupted my thoughts, and I noticed two heads of crimson hair coming my way... and they looked scarily like a particular axe wielder.

My eyes were cast towards the leaves dangled up high overhead as I walked down the small path through the wooded area. I know I should be watching where I am going and that if Mack was here he'd be lecturing me that I should be more careful, but quite frankly the detail put into this place is simply jaw dropping. I have yet to be able to take my eyes off of it and anywhere Michiko is here with me. What's the worse that could happen? I deviate from the path for a moment as a head for one of the larger trees. The weight of my hammer as it rests back against my right shoulder offers reassurance that if anything is hiding behind one of these trees that I can simply bash it repeatedly until it stopped moving. That should be enough right? I slowly nod in confirmation of my own question though since I didn't actually ask it out loud it would look like I simply nodded at the tree. Once I get close enough I raise my hand and place it against the tree to see just how real it feels. The bark feels rough against my skin and as I turn to say something to Michiko I notice someone off in the distance. My brow furrows as I step away from the tree and cast a wary glance at my sister to see if she noticed

[I too will post in first person to keep consistency. Also I didn't re-read it so PM me with errors or misconceptions. Thanks.]

Alongside me on the left was Magda, but to my right was the vast scenery of Floor 2. We were coming from Urbus, the main settlement of the floor, and were currently on the highest point from the town. The entire floor was composed of rolling hills and many, many trees.  Of course there were trees to the right of us as well but since we were up so high Magda and I were able to see over them. The ones to the left towered over us, however. And almost every time I looked over, Magda was staring so intently at the leaves grasping the branches for life. Although if one leaf were to fall it would surely just regenerate. Unlike us the grass and other "living things" like the quest monsters could just respawn if slain.

The leaves didn't interest me as much as the animals of this floor did. After all, my friend in the college that I was attending in real life was studying to be an animal specialist- she taught me a lot to help herself study. Being fond of animals didn't help me very much in this game where if I didn't attack it, it would kill me. I knew now that they were so bountiful and would just reappear a few feet away but for the first few months of the game I refused to even take out my weapon, let alone point it at one. Now that I understood the stakes of this MMO I knew I couldn't just not kill things. But, the sad fact still remained that Magda and I still hadn't killed a single being ever since setting foot into the virtual reality. We were way too busy looking for our brother, Mack, whom was severely angry with us for "killing ourselves" and joining him in this death trap.

My attention averted from he grazing boars and small animals to a lone player hacking away at wasp. I cringed at the thought of the noises it probably made- to cut through the insect. I frowned as he finished it in a single blow, that wasn't very exciting. I looked at the players stature, then to Magda and noticed she too had been eyeing the player from a tree. I rasied an eyebrow and calming thought before I spoke. "Once you're done having sexual interactions with a tree would you like to go speak with that player? He seems somewhat trustworthy I guess, and he could help us with a quest."

Red hair. Large build.

Red hair. Small build.

The first with a bust that would give Opal a run for her money. They could only be related to one person; Mack. I shivered inside, wondering if either of them were as scary as the axe Grandmaster himself. However, when the female with the mace caressed a tree, it seemed to me that she was gentle and kind, likely somewhat airy. The smaller girl seemed to be the reasonable, logical girl by the look on her face as she looked towards me and pointed me out to whom I supposed was her sister. "Hey!" I called with a gleeful grin; it looked like they would be much less... serious company than Mack, and I would not mind having them around to kill wasps with me. I slowly approached them, my hands in my pockets, smile still beaming from my lips. "I know I may be assuming here... but are you two related to a man by the name of 'Mack', by any chance?" I asked, tilting my head curiously at the actually quite attractive females.

I roll my eyes at my sister's comment and simply say, "Look I'm not some tree humper thank you very much! I was... just...." I don't know how to exactly explain what I was doing without playing into her little joke so I let my voice trail off as I lean a little further out from behind the tree. I wanted to get a better view of this "trustworthy" person. I wave as she shouts out a greeting. He certainly seemed friendly enough with the way he smiled and the casual way he had his hands stuffed in his pockets. I could only blink when he asked if we were related to Mack and at first I felt a little skeptical about answering it but what's the worst that could happen? I figured I could watch how the man reacts to hearing the confirmation to his question and get a better judge of his character. I nod slightly as I step out from behind the tree into full view. I keep my hammer resting against my shoulder as I walk over to stand by Michiko. If this guy started something then at least we'd both be able to react and fight together. "How do you know Mack?"
