Gorou 0 Posted March 28, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 28, 2016 (edited) It was a moderately cloudy, and somewhat grey day on Floor 1. Cool air swept throughout the land, with there being a slight chill in the atmosphere. Due to the cold, Gorou walked about with a brisk pace. He tried to find some quests that he could do at his current level, since fighting boars at his current state was out of the question, However, he hadn't seen any npcs that offered them, and briefly wondered if wasn't at a sufficient level for certain quests to become available to him. "Maybe I missed them..." he mused quietly, scratching his cheek. Gorou then decided to make his way to town square, and take a more leisurely walk through the city. Surely he'd find a quest or two if he looked around more carefully. He needed to slow down for a bit regardless, because walking all morning was beginning to take it's toll on him. Luna 0 Posted March 28, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 28, 2016 Luna sighed as she sat down on a bench in the centre of the town of beginnings, her legs crossed as she laid back, her head looking up to the beautiful azure sky of aincrad, the fact that the sun was always shining made her happy despite the fact that she was in a death game. "I need something to do..." she mumbled to herself, twirling one of her blue lock around her finger absent mindedly. She was too weak to hunt on her own, too poor to go shopping. She sighed again. "Nothing to do then..."
Gorou 0 Posted March 28, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted March 28, 2016 Gorou noticed that the sky was beginning to clear up, and wasn't as cloudy as it was earlier in the morning. He felt thankful for that. The day would surely be less gloomy as he wandered about trying to find ways to advance in level and gain enough strength to defeat the boars that lingered outside the city. There were a few groups of people that looked to be just starting their day, but Gorou decided against talking to them. Surely they'd have been busy with their own agendas, and he wasn't much of a people person to begin with. He needed to do his own things, anyway. Walking through town all morning was exhausting, and he'd need a place to rest. He surveyed the area, and noticed a single bench in the distance, though it was currently occupied by a small girl with bright blue hair. "Hey there." he greeted. Gorou approached the bench and without asking first, he plopped down on the other end opposite of the other player. "I hope you don't mind. My feet are killing me."
Luna 0 Posted March 28, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 28, 2016 Luna had been in her own world when Gorou sat himself abruptly down on the bench, saying "Hey there." . The bluenette briefly turned to look at the man before yelping in surprise and swiftly moved to the end of the bench, looking down at the ground as she did. "H-hi..." she stammered nervously, her breathing quick and sharp. "C-calm down.." she mumbled to herself
Gorou 0 Posted March 28, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted March 28, 2016 Gorou raised an eyebrow as he watched the smaller player stammer out something unintelligible before rushing to the opposite side of the bench in a hurry. He blinked a few times in confusion, and scratched the back of his head. He thought that he had heard her say "Hi", but was a bit uncertain. He didn't mean to scare her, however he rationalized that since he was a person of tall stature, he might've been slightly intimidating. "Uh... You all right?" he asked, as he turned his head towards the bluenette who was shaking pretty badly upon closer inspection. "I just needed a place to sit. I didn't mean to scare you." Luna 0 Posted March 28, 2016 #6 Share Posted March 28, 2016 Luna was shaking with nerves, she wasn't expecting another player to randomly sit down on the bench with her, and especially one who was much taller than her, and she definitely wasn't expecting someone to talk to her. "Calm...down" she said to herself again, still looking at the floor as her breathing slowed. "Uh... You all right?" The man asked, obviously concerned. The bluenette slowly nodded, her head raising slowly, looking at him, her face obscured by some blue locks. "I'm...just nervous..." she said, slowly becoming more confident and calming down. Gorou 0 Posted March 28, 2016 Author #7 Share Posted March 28, 2016 Gorou heard her mumble something yet again, but he didn't catch it due to how quiet his new acquaintance was being. She was looking downwards, away from his gaze and he felt a bit off put by her current attitude towards him. He didn't know why, but for some reason he felt like he was harassing her with his mere presence, and was about to get up to find another place to sit, before she spoke up about being nervous. "Well, that much is obvious." he grunted in response, but quickly shrugged afterwards. It probably wasn't her fault she was so shy, so he'd have to make an effort to make her feel less... anxious. "My name's Gorou. Sorry, I spooked you." he attempted to say with a lighter tone of voice.
Luna 0 Posted March 28, 2016 #8 Share Posted March 28, 2016 Luna looked down even further when Gorou grunted his response, but it was still obvious that he felt bad. He shouldn't have, she was like this with everyone, extremely nervous, shaking at everything. "My name's Gorou. Sorry, I spooked you." He said, his tone of voice lighter this time, which made the bluenette feel more comfortable. "I-I'm Luna..." she said, sounding more confident and clear this time, she stopped looking down and instead looked directly at the man. "I'm sorry...I'm like this with everyone...please don't feel bad" she said
Gorou 0 Posted March 28, 2016 Author #9 Share Posted March 28, 2016 Now it was Gorou's turn to look away from the girl's gaze. Not out of shyness, but out of respect, and not wanting to cause any more undue anxiety for the blue haired girl. She seemed to be trying to make an effort to be more social, but he felt like it was somewhat unnecessary. He'd have been content with silence, and if the girl had preferred, but since she was talking now he'd have to give back some sort of response. "Luna... like the moon, huh?" Gorou replied after she introduced herself, and made note of the name. Her name wouldn't be hard to remember. His attention returned to her once she started apologizing. "No need to worry about it." he stated dryly, as he got more comfortable on the bench and leaned back into it. "It's good that you're wary of others. Don't know who you could trust here in this death game." he added.
Luna 0 Posted March 28, 2016 #10 Share Posted March 28, 2016 Luna giggled at Gorou's comment. "I...I get that a lot..." she said with a smile, slowly coming out of her shell so to speak, although she was slightly disheartened by the fact that Gorou was too looking away, but it was only briefly as he went back to relaxing on the bench. "So..." she said awkwardly as she played with her hair absent mindedly.
Gorou 0 Posted March 29, 2016 Author #11 Share Posted March 29, 2016 "So...?" Gorou repeated, not really certain on where to go from this point. He placed his hands into the pockets of his tunic, and idly bounced his foot up and down. He noticed that Luna didn't seem like too much of a talker. They had something in common then, but it didn't make for a very exciting time. He briefly considered all the possible topics they could discuss here. Her story... his story... the weather... he didn't rightly know. He felt the former was off limits since they barely knew each other. Maybe the latter would be the best bet, but it sounded so cliche' that he decided to dismiss that idea. "I'm lost for something to talk about to be honest..." he shrugged, and scratched his elbow awkwardly. "What's your favorite color, I guess?"
Luna 0 Posted March 29, 2016 #12 Share Posted March 29, 2016 (edited) Luna sighed as the man parroted her words, the both of them seemingly lost for words, having no idea what to say. A couple of times she opened her mouth to say something but she couldn't find the words. "I'm lost for something to talk about to be honest..." she heard the man say, before he asked her what her favourite colour was. "I know it sounds silly...but blue..." she said, shyly. "What about you?" Edited March 29, 2016 by Luna
Gorou 0 Posted March 29, 2016 Author #13 Share Posted March 29, 2016 "I'd be surprised if it weren't." Gorou said as he observed the girl's bright blue locks of hair. It was pretty obvious and he somewhat felt silly for even considering the question. The man continued to watch Luna quietly, still feeling quite uncertain in how to interact with her. He'd definitely try, however, as she spoke up and returned the question back at him. "Mine's green. The colour of nature, and all that." he shrugged before straightening up in his seat and pulling on his shirt collar. He never gave it much though before now but green was a very familiar colour for him too. "It reminds me a lot of home."
