The pair exchanged blows again and Ronin sighed, noticing the rat was still on its feet.   This creature was much more stubborn than the damn wild boars out in the grassy fields.  He shook his head, knowing that if that last attack hadn't done the trick, the next one surely would.  He gripped the handle of his blade tight and grit his teeth, preparing to put all of his might into his next swing.  Stepping forth, he could see the scared look in the beast's eyes and for a moment, Ronin felt heartless and cold.  He brought the blade down anyway, hoping to finish this.

"DAMNIT!" cried Ronin as his sword missed and slammed into the rocky floor beside the rat.  He ground his teeth together in frustration, wondering how he could be so weak and so inaccurate.  He shook his head, feeling discouraged, but knew he had to keep on going.  He couldn't just give up, in this game that simply wasn't an option.  No, he had to keep on fighting and become stronger, faster, better.  He pushed off and drug his sword along the floor, charging up again and slinging the blade toward the rat's head.  "DIE DAMN YOU!" he shouted, before his blade chopped the rat's head clean off.  "Finally...", he sighed, before collecting the material it dropped.
