Miaki, enraged by the stinging in his face, charged his blade and destroyed the <>. Shattering it into a million bites of data. "Heh, monster deleted." He swung his blade about and sheathed it on his waist.

Miaki finished off the <> and watched it shatter like glass. Without hesitation he kept moving forward making haste for the end of the passage. Rechecking his map he saw that he was approaching the summit of the climbing mountain. He was close to the southern edge of the floor.

The was a small hut near the peak of the mountain. Inside was a big middle-aged man who was an NPC. He was well built man with a thick beard and thin line haircut. The [?] floated above him marking him as the starting point to the quest.

"Thou wishes to be a disciple?" The man asked Miaki.

"Indeed."

"Even though there will be a long and steep road of training?"

"That is why it is called training."

The icon changed over the NPC's head to a [!] marking the start of the quest. The master NPC took Miaki outside and showed him a large stone larger than any person. He instructed Miaki to split the stone in half with only his hands.

Miaki stared at the object. It's durability was certainly high and very difficult to crack. Removing his trench coat Miaki stood there in his pants, a white long sleeve, and a olive green vest. He patted the stone several times getting a feel of it. Back in the real world Michael had taken 9 years of martial arts and in his 7th and 9th year of training he had an opportunity to break a cinder block. The first time he did it he jumped the gun and broke it before his instructor had time to explain how to break the block properly. This was not gonna be like that. Miaki got in a fighting stance and spent the next 2 minutes taking deep breaths.

Breath in. Breath out. Breath in. Breath out. Breath in. Breath out. Miaki brought himself into an old familiar state of focus. The <> skill he recently gained made it all more the easier to focus on the motion of him moving toward the boulder and back. He practiced dozens of times, each one given more effort than the last one. With a deafening,

'KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH"

Miaki with a look of total absolute, rushed forward, his hand glowing a shimmering light, and struck the boulder with his palm using all his might, screaming all the way. Miaki was astonished to see the boulder split in two.

The master NPC came back outside when he heard the loud shout. He inspected the boulder and nodded his head. Bowing towards Miaki the master said.

"You have done very well. You are indeed a user of the art of hand and foot combat. However you are far from a master. Go with my blessings and use what I bestowed upon you in your adventures."

Miaki returned the bow. "Thank you Master. I shall."

The Master nodded and returned to his small hut. A display appeared in front of Miaki marking the completion of the quest. The <> skill was added to a skill slot and Miaki cheered in accomplishment. Now to get off the blasted mountain and put the new skill to use.
