Simultaneously, Takeshi and the lizardman sprints and leaps forward, their weapons pointed forward like jousting lances. To their dismay, they miss each other's strike and turns around to face each other. The lizardman lets out what sounded like a 'tch' and gives its spear a spin. Takeshi barely moves his injured leg, remaining completely still as he feels like he is stuck in a time loop where he has to fight against the reptilian at this tree house forever.

If Takeshi isn't wearing his helmet now, he would have taken out a cigarette to smoke. But he still insists himself on keeping his head protected and thus keeping his headgear on. He lets out a deep sigh as he puts the blade of the sword on his shoulder, gazing at the lizardman. It is also exhausted as it gives itself a rest, only breaking its sights onto Takeshi by looking at the ground. At this point, Takeshi takes big, but possibly quiet steps towards it, his sword ready to be swung.

The lizardman looks up just in time to see Takeshi's glowing sword, and reacts quickly by thrusting its spear towards his torso. Though he receives some damage at his body, he avoids the full thrusting by side stepping rapidly and slashes its face brutally. Even after the Sword Art, he still keeps on slashing until the lizardman punches his helmet and retreats into the house. Adjusting his helmet quickly, Takeshi pursues it.

He looks around the living room as he seeks for the reptilian and tries many methods such as looking under the table or simply pull down the shelves. Alas, he fails to find it and carefully walks upstairs. The drastic change of the second floor is that some of the objects are rearranged in a way that it would be tedious to move them away one by one during the search. Not a problem to Takeshi though, as he simply trashes around the room, but not before taking out his potion to restore his health.

Drinking the potion must have been a big relief to Takeshi as he goes fully berserk, no longer worrying his safety for a while. The lizardman debates itself on whether it will remain still or book it as fast as possible. After a few minutes of destruction, Takeshi pants as he looks around the messy room of destroyed furniture. At this point, the reptilian attempts to crawl on all fours to sneak out of the room. The creaking of the floorboard, however, gives away his position, thus letting Takeshi to turn around and found it.

He approaches it with his shield raised, but it quickly thrusts his spear forward towards his legs. Not letting the lizardman to severe his leg further, Takeshi kneels down with the shield facing forward, successfully blocking the attack. It retreats to an empty space of the second floor and hisses loudly, which does nothing to threaten or lowering Takeshi's morale.

The lizardman attempts to kick his wounded leg once more, but it is a grave mistake to do so, as Takeshi dodges the attack and quickly chops off its own leg. It lets out a high pitched, animalistic scream as Takeshi uses his Sword Art to slash its chest and and head, cutting the latter off at the end of his assault. Its head rolls along the floorboard as its body drops the spear and turns into pieces of data, dropping one Material. Takeshi wordlessly collects it and leaves the house.

The rain is now reduced to a light drizzle, with the breeze still present and the clouds becoming a little brighter. Takeshi stops at the start of a rope bridge and removes his helmet, breathing deeply to feel the fresh air. His afro hair flows along the wind as he slowly crosses the bridge to the end. Now would be a good time to find something to eat as the mist clears up a little. However, he prefers to finish searching around the two other tree houses first before lunch.

The third tree house looks more or less the same as the second. There is even another small box sitting on the table. Unlike the other two, it is already open and devoid of any kind of content, and Takeshi is a little disappointed since he hoped that he can find more ingredients in the next box. He examines the furnitures and discovers more decaying books, some letter openers and a white liquid. 

Takeshi takes the flask of white liquid and tries to determine what it is. Suggestions range from milk to some sort of sap from the trees, but neither of these things don't really match the properties of the liquid. He resist his temptation to taste it as it is either unappetizing or contains serious side effects. He leaves the flask alone and walks upstairs, discovering a more furnished bedroom. It has a clean bed, a pair of drawers and a lampshade. The lizardman must have used it as its own room throughout its stay in the tree house. Or maybe it belongs to the minotaur's.

Nothing bad happens throughout his time in the third house. Takeshi puts on his helmet again and moves on to the fourth, which is vastly different from the others in terms of size. It has a total of three floors and some balconies. Its architecture style is also Victorian, but leans in a more medieval appearance. An elaborate, holy symbol is sitting at the summit of the highest roof of the house, leading Takeshi to conclude that this area must have been religiously used as various occasions. Adoptions, meetings, or simply living in reclusion from society.

He enters the house to notices that the living room is slightly less furnished than the last. There is a large, round table and some chairs. No small boxes are present, and there is a window pane with a depiction of people kneeling before a figure surrounded by holy light. Takeshi approaches the window to examine it further, realizing that the appearance of the figure do not look divine at all. It wears green robes, and most of its body parts are human, save for a pair of bat wings at its back. However, the head resembles that of an octopus's, complete with tentacles.

This isn't a religion at all. This is a Cthulhu cult.

As Takeshi steps away from the window pane and turns his head towards the staircase, he is surprised to see a large, anaconda sitting on the staircase, looking directly at him in return. It hisses as it slowly approaches him, a red marker appears on top of it to indicate its aggressiveness. This must be the 'guardian' of the main tree house, and it is probably under a spell due to a foreign marking on the neck and its bright, glowing yellow eyes.

Though he knows that an ananconda isn't venomous, he is still a little concerned about fighting against this one as such a snake can wrap around its victim and crush them to death. Even worse, he isn't sure if it possesses special abilities besides a death hug. The only good thing about this particular snake is that it moves quite slowly at default speed, so at least he may have the time to possibly read its next offenses. The fight begins as the ananconda suddenly jumps forwards and moves its body around to use it as a thick whip.

Takeshi can barely block its whip-like attack as he is struck at the face, the force of the impact penetrates through his great helmet as he is rendered dizzy and hurt, prompting him to back away from the ananconda immediately. It doesn't stop here and continues to slither onwards, making another leap at a presumably safe distance from Takeshi.

Forcing himself to recover quickly, Takeshi unleashes his Sword Art at its direction and by pure luck, the blade strikes through the flesh in three quick successions. Blood squirts onto the table as the ananconda falls onto the floor, making a loud thud. He plunges his sword downwards to its head, but it dodges that and slithers away from him until it stops at the base of the staircase, hissing loudly as it opens its jawless mouth. Takeshi raises his shield upwards and lets it come as he whispers, "Come and wrap me up..."

The ananconda slithers speedily as Takeshi anticipates a whip attack. But instead, it keeps on going until it reaches his leg and proceeds to wrap its large body around it. Takeshi falls down as he feels a sharp pain emitted from the weight and pressure of the ananconda, it squeezes a little harder before moving its face towards his. 

Takeshi attempts to swing his sword at its head, but it dodges again and keeps doing so for one to two minutes before squeezing his leg some more, increasing the painful force of the imminent crush. Takeshi manages to knock its head with his pommel twice before it retreats in case if it gets mortally wounded when he gets the chance to do so. He leans against the table as it is a little harder to get up now, his legs constantly shaking. The wound that was inflicted by the lizardman's spear earlier is still in effect, but the blood around it is getting dry.

The ananconda moves on to slither around Takeshi as it is going to attack him from behind. Takeshi quickly keeps track of it as best as he can, at the cost of enduring its increasing movement speed.

The sounds created by the friction between the ananconda's body and the floorboards are loud and clearly audible as it gradually picks up its speed. Takeshi notes this and immediately found a way to counter its next attack. He removes his helmet to hear better and closes his eyes, much to its utter confusion. It keeps moving while he remains static, and as soon as it slithers up the table and stops, it quickly leaps at a great distance towards his head.

Unfortunately for the ananconda, the table shakes at the moment it takes off, and Takeshi can hear its rumble. Quick but calm, he swings his sword in a 360 degree motion, instantly activating his Sword Art as the blade actually makes contact with the ananconda's head, decapitating it. The body is also damaged at some point as Takeshi swings for a second time speedily for extra measure.

Slowly, he opens his eyes and sees the ananconda's headless body. He looks at his own sword in a way that he seems to not believe that he actually did it, though he expects his success. He turns his head around the floors and sees its living head, biting at thin air. He approaches it carefully and smashes it with his foot, doing so repetitively until it is nothing but a mess of gore and blood. 

"Tch", he mumbles as he takes the ananconda's body and helmet, taking them outside while having enough of investigating the house. The rain stops completely as he finished gathering firewood and make a fire to warm himself. He skins, guts and cuts the snake's meat to manageable pieces and roasts them in a fire. The meat tastes exactly like chicken, and it is nourishing enough for a meal.

Takeshi looks upwards to the orange sky as he takes out a cigarette and lights it up. The sun is beginning to set and he only has a few hours before he can reach back to the elf city in time.
