[PP:F1:Complete] EaL Main Quest w/Cyrus

Recommended Posts

They had arrived at the Blacksmith NPC where the now katana wielding player had been titled Blacksmith for his profession. Out of the duo, Cyrus had gained his title and Profession however, Kisodeth had yet to claim such a prize. They had agreed to get both of these quests done as soon as possible for efficiency so without further delay Kisodeth bumped Cyrus arm with her elbow, "Hey quit gawking at your stuff. It's my turn now. And unfortunately, we gotta go to a different area for the Quest NPC." The woman swung her body around, dark raven hair falling off her shoulder as she moved and started her path towards Alchemy. This however left a little lull in their previous conversation where they had started to learn a little bit more about each other.

"If you want to continue asking me questions about myself, feel free. I think at this point I am comfortable giving out more information to you about me." Kisodeth had looked over her shoulder at the male player, she did not scowl at him as she talked which given the circumstances was a little rare. However, he had yet to do anything as of that moment to press his luck against that. So as they followed the little path to the Alchemy section, they had arrived at the Quest NPC. Rolling her blue eyes, the woman told Cyrus to wait there a moment while she did the necessary dialogue to get things rolling. A few minutes ticked by and she head back towards Cyrus and gestured with her head to follow her once more, not given a verbal command by it.

"So we need to go back out into the fields. I hope you enjoyed all that material gathering from before, because we get to do it again." Her voice was an enthusiastic tone riddled with sarcasm, she even did little jazz hands to show she was not all Lady Gloom n Doom. But that was besides the point, she had to do this boring quest all over again, but much like before she would have some company. Making a right, they headed towards the gate and out of the safety zone once again. Blue eyes looked around as she placed her hands on her dark skinned hips, "Alright, let's get to work then...I actually have to pick up some gems, flowers, and water. This alchemy business is going to be too girly for someone like me. But I'm gonna make it badass. Apparently there is a rumor going around about a forbidden alchemy grimoire, I would love to get my hands on something like that. Anyways..." She gestured with her head again as she moved out into the open fields. @Cyrus

Now that everything was official Cyrus kept his katana equipped on him. The beautiful if only low level sword was always strapped to his side. In his opinion it was fitting with his outfit to make him look more badass. He was also now a blacksmith which wasn't as cool but he at least could make his own equipment. Soon enough he would be making his own armor. But for now in his down time he would be crafting weapons to level up his skills. It was the hope that he would be able to craft an amazing sword at least amazing for his current level. After that he would just be selling off his equipment to NPC's and other players. The young gamer was indeed gawking at all of the things he acquired during his previous quest. Despite all of the bad luck they had in the fields everything was made better when he got lucky on completion. The random loot roll he got at the end was fairly high so he took it and ran. Her words brought him back to reality.

It was expected that they would need to travel to to another area to continue her quest. After they started heading towards the fields he picked up the conversation again. "Hhhhmmm how about we just toss some questions back and forth. But this time you have to answer your own question also after getting an answer." Not even waiting for her reply really he started thinking of some questions. Did she seem less evil and possibly more friendly? Or was he just imagining it? Perhaps the fact that they were getting to know each other more was making it easier for her. "What's your life motto? What do you live by?" This question was fairly intense but if understanding each other was growing a connection he was going to exploit it. This wasn't even for the purposes he normally used it for, mostly anyways. Instead it was to strength their harmony as partners and soon on the battlefield.

Getting to work he kept an eye out for the things the pertained to her profession. Unfortunately he didn't have a tool that he could use just one on thing at a time and get results now. He was forced to actually gather stuff. Replying to her enthusiasm about the gathering he found a way to make things interesting as usual. Cyrus had been going to school for business after all. He had a sharp mind for profit. "Or you could always find a way to make other players do the searching for you and gather the materials. I'm sure the lower level players and the zombies would find anything to keep them out of real battle. If you supply a fair amount of Col for X amount of materiel  you can avoid the girly stuff and grunt work." This was just a peek into the dark and brilliant mind of Cyrus. One could only imagine what his true plans were for when he finally got the level and strength he desired. There had already been hints and clues left that he intended to start something great. While he spoke he checked for loot. Not finding anything.

Lifting a hand over her head and smoothing out the ebony strands of hair, the woman gave his a scowling look once more as he added onto the previous game they were playing. Now she had to answer her own question? What kind of.. oh [censored] it! She was not going to win at clawing his face and the more she seemed to 'argue' with him, the more chance there seemed to win a valid argument between either party. She was just too head strong for something like that. So with her hands on her hips, the woman nodded and agreed although reluctant.

As they stepped into the field, the first question from the duo was fired off. Quick like lightning, he seemed to have something gathered in his train of thoughts. When he asked the question, Kisodeth had thought it weird. She didn't have a motto that she lived by or anything, and there was nothing that stood out that would represent a theme for her life, "That's a tough question. I don't really live by what is said on the front of a cereal box or anything. Live fast, die hard? Is that a motto or something? I guess that would sum up my general theme in life. I usually grab [censored] by the balls and if I am going to do something I set my mind to, I'm going at it full throttle."

Kisodeth kicked the dirt and the grass as it sprayed from her boot, there wasn't anything there. She looked at Cyrus and gave him an eyeful and pointed her finger at him, "And you never answered your own question, Jerk. Anyways. I would much rather keep my col rather than give it to some beggar who can do the searching for materials for me. It's not all that hard work, despite it being very boring. And once we are both geared up, we can hunt mobs instead of doing field research like this [censored]. What part of Japan do you live in?" Oh she just got personal with that question and she knew she had to bite the bullet and answer her own as well. Standing there for a moment she shifted her weight on one leg and folded her arms, "I live in Kabukicho, Tokyo." She said with a slight smile on her usual expressionless face. @Cyrus

Cyrus' red overcoat like outerwear flowed in the wind as the looked around. The over coat was really like two pieces for the back and arms as well as a piece that started above the waist and hung loose all the way down. If it wasn't for the shirt he wore underneath his chest would be exposed bare. And it was very possible to remove the shirt just to get that desired effect. However due to the material of the shirt it was very form fitting but stylish for this type of game while his clearly toned body was still visible underneath. The pants however were slim but not too much. Skinny pants were not his style and he would never be caught dead wearing them. Between the red, black and white matching with his hair he looked fairly capable wearing this equipment. Of course he spent a goof portion of time in character creation making sure he looked good right out of the gate. It was in the plan to keep his armor similar to this type of gear going forward.

The first question had been pretty good indeed noticing that she was stumped for a while, There were more questions like this lined up. There was more to Cyrus than a good smile and his flirting. His mind was a fairly interesting and devious thing. "I think you got the game backwards. We're answering our own questions after getting the answer from the other. So I would answer now." Looking toward Kiso he made sure she got it now before continuing. "My philosophy is to live in the moment and never let an opportunity pass you by. Regret is never something I want to dwell on."

Now that Dethy had messed up their order there was a lot of catching up to do. "Just to get us back on track I'm going to answer and then ask." No pause in his speech. "I live in Shibuya at least while I'm in school so I'm actually not too far from Kabukicho. Been down there a few times. What's your favorite thing about yourself?" This was going to be there most interesting outing yet. Their conversation never distracted him from the search for materials. And he was getting lucky again.

THe woman shrugged her shoulders about how she messed up the order of how this little game was supposed to go. Once more she sent her right leg kicking the ground finding nothing in particular in use of materials. She had listened to his little motto and she gave another shrug, "That sounds about right for you. You don't seem like a person who would pass up a good opportunity. That much is evident between the two of us." The woman fiddled with her hair a little as it curled around her hip bone. Her eyes went wide, those blue sapphires now looking at him when he said he lived so close to her.

"That is pretty close, so there could be a possibility we might have ran into one another at one point without even knowing. Funny how that works huh? But I am curious what you were doing in Kabukicho, I mean...people don't visit that place; they avoid it at all costs." She sighed and looked at him, so he would bring up a question like that for her to answer. She said she would answer, but she had to think of an answer.

"Well that is difficult to say since I think my favorite thing about myself is myself. But I am sure you meant something a little more specific. I dunno. I've been told I have really nice lips and eyes. I would tend to agree with that. Did you think I was gonna say my ass or tits?" she laughed, and she didn't know why, maybe it was because of these questions he was pitching at her. The dark haired beauty wondered what he thought his best feature was or his most favorite. But it was time for her question now, "Seriously, I wanna know what you do in Kabukicho. You know we are infamous for our Red-Light, is that what gets you off?" @Cyrus

It was hilarious to watch her methods of searching if it could even be called a search at all. "Perhaps you should try some actual looking and reasoning to narrow down possible places your material could be. Kicking up dirt is probably why you're not getting results." It made him chuckle a little. Essentially they could have just gone with the one material he found and went on with the quest. But if they were already out in the field and already looking for it, it was probably better to gather a lot at once. There was a chance that the rate for finding materials was increased while holding the quest. Just a theory though it could be entirely wrong. "Doors are always open to you. It's up to you to peek into those doors and predict future outcomes and values. And then bust that [censored] wide open."

The question about his reasoning in Kabukicho probably would have been answered regardless of her asking but it worked out for him. It basically gave him a freebie. However he would have never let that be known to Kiso. She would have been a little upset. It was quite true that the area he visited a few times was dangerous but he was able to handle himself fairly well. The answer he received to his question was a little different than he was expecting mostly because the meaning was lost on her. "Well I guess that works. You're eyes are a great feature and hard to miss. However I meant more about the inside. Not to sound soft or anything. But like your personality, your mind, etcetera." If she wanted to just get away with what she said before he really wasn't going to press for more information. His focus was on the sort of sweet laugh she gave. It caught him off guard and it was an interesting sound to hear. Which made him want to hear it again.

"I suppose my best feature would be the way my mind works. Noticing the small things no one else notices. My ambitions to be greater than everyone else. My focus." And now it was time to answer her question. "First I should give some background. I used to live in NYC back in the States. So it taught me a lot about life and how to handle myself. I'm an abroad college student we go looking for trouble and adventures just to have an interesting night. I wasn't necessarily there for the Red-Light district. Or there for myself most of the time. Just for the college memories." There were some details left out just to make things mysterious and interesting. Maybe she would be able to get the rest out of him at another time. "What are is your biggest dream or goal here and in the real world." Another sort of two part question. But this is what would either align themselves further or push them apart. If their goals were vastly different it would be better to end things with these answers.

Cyrus was a little more serious in his search resulting in another success.

Kisodeth shrugged her shoulders on his comment about actually looking for materials instead of kicking up dirt. The woman had half the mind to spray him with dirt with her booted toe in response to that but she went along with it. Rolling her blue eyes, the woman swept a hand over the grass as she leaned over, one knee on the ground and searched a bit more thoroughly; nothing. She got up and grumbled, "Doesn't look like your method is any better," her voice slightly more irritated.

"Yeah and doors could easily swing back and smack you from behind as well. If you are into peeking, that would make you into a voyeurist. So like peeking in on people, huh?" Her look was smug as she contested with his logic side. He might have been a smarter person than she was, but no one was more witty or more annoyingly a smart ass as she was. Which related back to his earlier question and she huffed, "You said favorite thing about me. I said eyes and lips; I don't think I would say my personality is very becoming. I know I could work better on that but I don't give a flying [censored] about. But if you want to get all proddy with it, then I would say my smart ass attitude. Happy?" Her tone was melted ice, not sinister or violent, but more that it was irritated.

Her hand brushed against her long silken raven hair as it bounced over her thigh once more as it curled. She folded her arms and gestured for him to follow her once more, "Let's go look for some water. I need a few vials of that anyways." As they went further into the open fields she had noticed a small stream, this would be a good location to bottle up some water for her alchemical practices later.

Cyrus had commented on how his mind works being his favorite thing about him, the woman shrugged her shoulders, "I suppose if that's what you like about you. When it comes down to you and yourself, does it really matter the opinion of others? I would say your best trait is you indomitable will so far. You are one of the few people I have seen that hasn't backed down away from me or even too scared to come and approach me." When her question had come back around to him she nodded, "Ahh, from the States, huh? You are quite a long way from home there, Buddy.  Biggest dream here? I told you I wanted to survive, and I don't really care how that is made possible. I want to become strong enough so I can defend for myself, strong enough so I won't be taken advantage of, strong enough not be another chicken [censored] wuss here to ride on the backs of others. I am just simply going on my way. As for the real world..."

The woman bowed her head, she would end up having to talk about something personal but it was fine for the moment, "I did a lot of stupid [censored] back home. I got into a lot of trouble with the law, I drank alot, I did bad things. What I want to do is be the best damn tattoo artist this world has ever seen and I was on my way of doing that too if I hadn't been so toasted and decided to play this game that one night. So literally, my dreams are crushed and ruined right now because of where I am which is why I have a strong dislike for anything about this game right now especially its residents."

The woman turned towards the stream of water and saw her reflection in the pool, "I really dislike this world. I hate it so much for tearing me away from what I wanted to do. The man who keeps us here in chains, I'm gonna kill that [censored] bastard if it's the last thing I do. Anyways, I guess it's my turn to ask another question." The woman had sought out a question to ask Cyrus, truth be told she was mildly heated from the conversation already but she was trying to calm herself down, it reflected back to her first day here when she was enraged about her current imprisonment in this game like she was back in the real world. She wanted to be free of all of this.

So she turned up the heat, "If we were not business partners in this game, what do you think you would be doing right now had we not met? What if that door closed on you and we ended up going different ways instead?" @Cyrus

Apparently she wasn't lucky at all and her frustration almost made him bust out laughing. Of course he wasn't stupid enough to do that just yet. Despite how much progress was made she was still a cold double edged sword right now. Rather than turn her frustration on him a simple nod would have to do. It wasn't that he was scared but avoiding some unnecessary rage. "Hhhhhmmm I'm not sure what it is then." Her words about how he used his logic in life rolled off of him. They it wasn't the best of an argument. She was kind of right. It was very possible that in an attempt to take an opportunity it could back fire on him. However he liked to think he was cautious enough to avoid a situation like that. It was true that she might have an edge on him with her quips and jokes.

"I wouldn't say your personality is all that bad. It's just different. Somebody wouldn't be able to handle you like an average woman. Simply put because you're not the average woman. And an average person can only deal with average people." She was irritated though so he left it at that. The suggestion to try the stream was definitely a good idea. So he followed along which was an interesting change for him. Cyrus had been so used to leading. It was part of his personality. Taking charge of the situation and guiding others to follow him to their goals. So while it was just a simple thing being that they were on Kiso's quest it was different. She had no problem speaking her mind and making her suggestions. Since he was having more luck with finding the materials he went first in attempting to gather up vials of water. Success once again. He was pretty good at this.

When she commented on what she thought his best trait was it made him smile a little. Not a big goofy grin only because he knew she would find some way to make a smart ass comment about it. Instead he just nodded. "Thank you. You're not as bad as you seem. Plus I could see that you were a fighter. I would have missed out on something great if I just ran." They were talking about dreams and that apparently hit something personal. For him it was easy to forget that there were people that lost a lot being trapped in this game. He was just a college student. No real job to speak of. Nobody he really left behind. Just some females that caught his attention and a few friends. The only thing he would miss was his family and his best friends. However due to the nature of them being trapped in this world he figured it was only a matter of time until either someone got them out safely or they cleared the game. But he kept those thoughts to himself. It was a touchy subject. "I have plans to build something of worth in this game if we're going to be trapped here. The particulars are fuzzy but I won't be knocked down by this game. And back home I wanted to own my own business. So I guess it's no surprise that I have the need to build something in this game also."

The next question was fairly interesting. If they weren't partners eh? "I think I would still be grinding out and trying to get this katana skill. I had no plans in being stuck on this floor if you came or not. I think it would have been harder for me though. Essentially this team up has sped up my leveling also. It's also made it easier on my mind. If I was alone maybe it would have worn down my mind being alone for so long eventually. But probably not. Being average would push me to pick things up again."

"If we had the time, what would you do for fun here?"

Kisodeth nodded, his logic was sound as it always was. She had shifted her body, kneeling down at the stream as she cupped her hands to take a small swig of the solution. It was crystal clear water and there was no bacteria of any kind in this game as far as she knew, or any harm in drinking or eating anything from anywhere. She had uncorked a vial and slipped her hand through it, but she ended up bumping her hand against a rock in the stream and the vial bounced out of her hand, "[censored]..." she muttered under her breath. The woman got to her feet and saw that Cyrus was able to get it done, "Well, seems you are one lucky duck today. I would have to agree with you on the fact that it has been a lot easier to get things done with you around. Had I ignored you completely at the Inn, I probably would still be there taking my time on doing things. It would have been a major disadvantage to me had I let you slip on by. Besides, I couldn't let someone else nab you. You DO actually help me, so I wouldn't want anyone else profiting off of you or your help."

She shrugged her shoulders answer her question in the process, they had the same mind on it that it would have been mutually beneficial to make this business contract with one another. Had they not though, both of them would end up having to do twice as much work and with less of the rewards. She sighed silently to herself, she was thinking about the advantages and disadvantages of this business relationship and Kisodeth already knew she was giving him enough of a hard time, "Listen," she said walking towards him. She folded her arms in a hugging manner of her body, almost as if she were gonna protect herself from the words she was about to speak, "As you say, I am a difficult person to understand at times. I can be probably too Bitchy as well, but it comes down to the fact that I am really not enjoying my time here right now. I mean, with you...it's fine. I am dealing with it, but on the other hands, there are just too many opportunities I am missing out now. But I have no reason to blame [censored] on you when you are just trying to help me out. So in a way what I am trying to say..."  She rolled her blues and huffed a bit, "Thanks, for being here." She then turned her back on him and shielded herself a bit more before letting her arms go and swing to her waist.

"Fun? If there is such a thing. I guess doing some exploring, I did want to do a bit of traveling back at home. I am sure this place has some interesting areas to explore. I really haven't thought about it since I have been moody and been keeping track of trying not to die here. So thinking of what would be fun here doesn't seem to register in my mind." She had turned around and shrugged her shoulders. Between the eye rolling and the shoulder shrugging, it was becoming apparent she didn't think too much on things. So when it was her time to ask another question she blurted out whatever popped into her head, "You don't snore when you sleep, do you? Cause if you do we are gonna have a problem. Like a big problem..." @Cyrus

Cyrus could only chuckle and just shrug his shoulders. "I suppose I'm just good at stuff like this." Having Kiso around was one of his best decisions in the game so far. And apparently she was thinking the same exact thing. In such a dire situation like this it was better to have at least on person that could really watch your back. Although the circumstances of them coming together were strange and not built on trust. They needed each other right now and it was enough to keep things steady. He was about to take that moment and tease her for it. This was what they did. It was becoming their thing, But before he could get to it the mood change and it made him actually get serious for a moment.

What he wasn't expecting was for her to actually open up. This was the first time she actually spoke her mind like this with some actual attachment behind her words. Cyrus was listening. Like REALLY listening to her words and taking them in. Seeing this situation from her perspective made him think. While he wasn't exactly hard pressed for a quick escape this was probably hell for her. The words fell from his lips with a serious tone. "Thank you for being around too. I'm not sure where I would be right now if I was by myself." They had been together for a while. So it made him wonder if he could even handle the game without her. The feeling that there was something to prove to himself came on strong. If Cyrus would have said it out loud she would try to stop him but it was already made up in his mind.

Listening carefully to what she explained as fun for her. At the moment there probably wasn't much but there had to be a way for his partner to enjoy the small things in this world. She had given enough information to go off of for now. Surely more information would be released over time. But for right now he knew where to start. Even on the first floor there had to be a few places to visit. The question asked was a valid one but it made him smile. "No I don't actually. I hope you won't be snoring in my ear. And you talk a big game but I'm curious to see how well you back it up."  Leaving that subject he went on to ask his question next. "Any pet peeves I should know about?" Dipping another vial into the water he attempted to gather again. And another success.

The woman nodded her head, allowing the earthy black strands of hair to fall off her shoulder once again. Kisodeth had learned to keep herself away from most people that did not suit her, men being the key prospects unless she needed something from them. However, as time had went on by for the two of them, she seemed to let down her guard just a tiny bit in front of Cyrus. Only hoping that it would not come to bite her in the behind one day. But this was an uncertain scenario, at the very moment though she could trust him. But when push came to shove, where do loyalties lie? Where did hers? But honestly, when he thanked her back, she couldn't delve deep enough into her mind to say something smart assy to him. There was a genuine...feeling that made her feel, different about him. She shoved the hair from her face as she bent over to gather water in another vial, having it slipped in her hand the prior time and this go was no different. She had let out a mild cuss from her black lips and then she rolled her eyes.

With her arms resting on her knees, the off tank looked at Cyrus with her sapphire eyes, "No, I don't snore. At least I don't think I do. I'm usually out when I spend the night with a guy and my roommate hasn't heard me snore either. So I believe in this case, we are both safe." She got up and walked back towards Cyrus noticing he had filled another vial, "Thanks. I don't know what is up with me, maybe I don't have the delicate touch for this crafting thing after all. Oh well." She rolled her shoulders into a shrug, "Pet peeves. I have a few. I don't like repeating myself. So if I say one thing, its usually final. If I say I don't want help, I don't want help. I don't like people yelling or screaming around me unless its like a concert then ya know? You kinda have to. I don't think I have any other ticks that I can think of at the moment."

The ice queen brought her hands up and folded them over her chest as she looked around the area. "Let's go somewhere else. It's pretty clear this game doesn't want me to personally collect any water. I don't even know what else to look for. I guess I need to ask another question too?" Her legs started to move and she was walking away from the stream, blue eyes looking sheepish as she searched her mind for a question to ask him. She was honestly running out of ideas, "What can you not get right, no matter how many times you try?" She stopped and looked at him, odd question but she wondered what faults he was hiding underneath all that superior mind of his.

Cyrus was another guarded individual even if he didn't seem like it. He liked to think he was a great judge of character. While he was more social and open about a few things he never went into far details. But he was never two faced. If he didn't like you all smiles were gone and there was no pretending. Everyone starts off generally at ground level and most usually stay there or go in the red. The very few that make enough of an impression gaining either his trust, respect, or interest are the ones that learn more. Even then he's very careful. At the moment Kiso had all three which is rather rare for him. Out here beyond the safe zone she was the first one that he felt he could let his physical guard down some. When she went on to answer her own question a smile came to his face. After getting to know her more these type of answers were expected and were normal for the raven haired woman. It seemed they would both be able to sleep peacefully though so that was a good thing,

They were moving just as she was explaining her pet peeves. They didn't really bother or make much of an impression on him because they didn't apply. But he just nodded anyways. "I don't think I have anything specific as a pet peeve. If anything I just have my values and if those are broken by someone who knows them then I'm irritated." Following along the young gamer took a moment to just taken in the scenery around him. This was also a great chance to see just what was going on around them. Cyrus didn't want to be at a disadvantage having a mob just pop up on them. But they seemed far enough away. Basics of RPG's were to keep a certain amount of distance from aggressive mobs or they would activate. Kiso didn't need to be told this apparently because they were doing fairly well avoiding them. And he would have been the first to redirect them if she started moving too close. For now though he kept his mouth shut and just watched. There was also a question to answer. "Without pouring my heart out I would have to say relationships. They don't seem to ever work out so I stopped trying."

As they searched for a new spot to gather his eyes were peeled trying to find the next piece of material. Rather than giving them to her one by one he was just going to give all of the mats he found away. They didn't have anything to do with Blacksmithing so there was no point in keeping them. The search continued even though he didn't find anything.

The woman shrugged her shoulders, "I bet a lot of people have problems with relationships. I don't have problems with them, because I don't keep people around long enough to form that bond. I suppose if there is one thing I can't get right is life in general. I am a bad, bad girl and I have a pretty impressive track record for it as well. Arested so many times I've lost count, was a junkie, was homeless, parents didn't love me or acknowledge me as their daughter," she took a deep inhale, "All this [censored] I've been through and when I finally get things right, or so I think, something ends up happening and it puts me back down again," she made a clicking noise with her tongue to show her irritation towards the subject, "Can't save myself in any world. But I still try, because I'm a fighter and a survivor. I've asked myself so many times why I do try, wouldn't it be so much easier to just kill yourself when you have no one to weep for you, no one would show up at your funeral." The woman shrugged, "Does the world really need another bloodsucker among them?" She rolled her blue eyes, her long fingers stroked through her silken raven hair as it curled at the tips.

She folded her arms over her chest, there was a clear expression on her face that showed she was angry about something; perhaps the thoughts rolling around in her head. She venomously looked at Cyrus, "You probably think I am pretty fucked up in the head, huh? I don't blame you. I've been told that so many times. I'm no good, I'm selfish, immature. But I say [censored]'em all. Needless chatter among common people who think they are better than everyone else. The hypocrites they are." She had sat down on her knees and plowed her hand through the grass tearing it from the roots and spraying it out in the wind finding nothing of value.

While she sat on her knees she looked away off into the horizon, her eyes getting lost in her dreams as she just sat there and stared into the world. Then she placed a hand over her head, rubbing her temple and spoke, "Cyrus. I'm gonna give you a chance to get away from me if you think I am too messed up in the head. I won't blame you if you decide to break this pact but you should know I got a lot more demons in me than what I have told you." With her hand rubbing her leg for the moment, she stood up, a blank look on her face, "Go if you want to." @Cyrus

As they continued their talk Cyrus was continuing to search. He was turning up a lot more than Kiso was so of course he didn't mind helping her out. There were sure to be moments when he was going to need her assistance with something he couldn't do too well. Their conversation was starting to get a little serious which made Cyrus look in the direction of his partner. The mood as well as the air was growing stiff. When she went on to explain just how bad she just a shrug came from him before speaking. "Just sounds like you survived the harshest trials of life to me. All of that matters less in comparison to who you're trying to be now." While personally his life never got that dark there had been one or two people who he witnessed going through what she went through. And to him the fact that she was able to pull her life together spoke volumes. It's so much easier to just give up and give in to your situation.

"I think you're a fighter like you said. Your strong minded and strong willed. You past only shaped you into something better. While that reckless tongue of yours can use some work you're tolerable." The mood was still fairly serious but rather than let this moment eat at both of them Cyrus wanted to relieve her of some worries. It was possible she didn't care about him at all or what he thought. But he still made a point to try. When she spoke about them breaking their agreement he immediately started shaking his head denying that option. After she spoke the young gamer just spoke plainly. "I'm not going anywhere. I'm your partner now so I accept everything dark past and all. I'm honored that you confided this in me though."

Their serious talking did distract him though and he didn't turn up anything valuable for her quest. It didn't faze him though and the young gamer just continued his search idly.

Kiso had wandered if anything had made sense to him from what she had said. His words that came back took her off guard, she would have blushed if she had the ability to do so, but she didn't and in the way that she could only be appreciative of his words was a small smile his way and a nod of her head. With all that sour [censored] gone and out of the way, the dark beauty laid her sapphire eyes out on the lay of the land. She folded her arms over her chest and looked blankly around her while inhaling deeply and then a displeasing look on her face, "Alright. I had enough of this searching [censored]. Let's head back and get this [censored] stupid quest done and over with. I don't feel like spending an age searching for materials that I might never find. Besides, I'd rather hunt down some mobs then go picking flowers in the meadow. Let's get the hell out of here."

The woman gestured for Cyrus with her head. They started to walk side by side as she wondered what to say or do next. He had been...exceptionally well attuned with her for some reason wondering if he had some extra motives up his sleeve or it could be that she was so badass and ruthless that giving up on this partnership would lead to a dead end for him. In either case she was still thankful, but she had to do something about herself. It was true, she might be truly fucked up in the head but that didn't mean she couldn't cleanse herself of those pains and thoughts. Her eyes kept forward as they walked. She let out a small trickling laughter, "I just recalled what you said earlier, my tongue might be reckless but it does a damn good job of what it needs to do. Anyways, I think after my dark spiel it was your turn to ask a question. I don't know, I somewhat lost my appetite for doing this. Speaking of...I could go for something to eat afterwards." The woman continued her confident stride, despite the intentions of their business relationship; she looked at him from the corner of her eyes, maybe something a little more devious could come from this after all. @Cyrus

The smile that was able to sneak onto Kiso's face was noticed and noted. Cyrus knew that she could do more than scowl and roll her eyes. There was something beyond that tough exterior that she carried and he wanted to know what was behind it. The moment didn't last too long because now they were nearing the end of this quest. They were both tired of just sitting around gather materials all day. Honestly the young gamer had been interested in testing out his abilities against some mobs but the duo had been careful so far in doing so. While they were probably a dynamic duo it was probably better for them to be prepared rather than just jumping in. However Cyrus knew whenever Kiso was ready to tear up some mobs he would be right with her. The comment she made interested him but he didn't want to read too far between the lines. Instead he would wait to her it from her directly. "Lead the way madam Kiso."

While he might have said lead the way they ended up walking side by side back to the city. There was silence for a moment and Cyrus peaked over to his companion and eyed her carefully. She was deep in thought and it made him curious. And then there was a laugh. This wasn't something that had been common when they first met but it was starting to come out more. Perhaps there actually was some sort of bond forming here. The comment she left him with resulted in a nod from the young gamer there was no doubt in his mind. "Yeah I think we've run these question far enough for now. Dinner is on me tonight where do you want to eat?" His silver eyes were searching for her interesting blue ones. There was still so much more he was curious about but it was better to just find out over time rather than ruining the surprise. Before he could forget though he sent over all of the materials he gathered that day.

"On you? Way to word that when you have a female walking right next to you." The woman dismissed the joke with her hand as she almost seemed to wave him off. Her sapphire eyes stalled on the road before them as they came up to the NPC that had given Kiso the quest. A smirk on her face, the woman turned on the ball of her foot and looked at Cyrus, "This'll only be a moment." Kisodeth walked off towards the NPC, started the dialogue only to have her mutter out some words of completion, getting the quest done and then eye rolling through the rest. It was pretty much an uneventful story which was more saturated in detail then it should have been. She smirked once more, closed out all her menus and turned back to Cyrus as she moved and folded her arms over her chest.

"That's done. But there has been a change of plans for this evening for you and I." The dubbed Kiss-of-Death, looked at her companion with a mischievous black laced smile, "We are not gonna buy our dinner tonight at some Inn or place of eating. How about we do something a little dangerous? We'll go an gather some items that are needed, but tonight let's go camping out on the first floor out in the field boar away from all...of this [censored] [censored]." She laughed with her hands gesturing to these common folk.

"We are better than this, and we don't need to waste money tonight. Let's camp out and hunt for our own food. Yeah, it's a little dangerous but I think we can handle it easily enough. There won't be anyone stupid enough to come after us, no one wants to sleep outside a safe zone, and we'll have each other's backs. We don't have to stay out the entire night." She shrugged her shoulders, she kinda felt that Cyrus was more of a hands on kind of guy much like she was. Picking flowers and looking for ore was boring, but when you are making your kills you can get a lot more enjoyment out of things. They were both fighters after all, which was the point of this business partnership.

"Anyways. We got some time to kill for tonight. Let's get what supplies we can muster up and then move out when the sun is setting." @Cyrus

Cyrus just shrugged it didn't bother him to buy Kiso dinner. Chivalry had still been taught to him and engraved into his very being. Even in this game where it was easy to lose your humanity in a place where there was no real law. As his counterpart went about turning in her quest and doing what needed to be done he just stood around going through his menu. It was still looking rather bare even with all the work they had been doing lately. Starting from the beginning in a game was never too much fun. Or perhaps it was just because he didn't like being weak. But before he could even get too deep in thought his partner had returned and was talking about revising their evening.

There wasn't any resistance from his lips when their evening had turned into a camping trip. This was the moment he had been waiting for. The original point of their team up had been that they were just two badasses that would be able to handle the world of SAO. However they had never been able to test themselves truly against the wild. It was necessary for them to wait as long as they did so there wasn't too much complaining while they got stronger. But now they were ready to face the first level. The monsters that wandered the first floor weren't going to be too much trouble for the duo. "Yeah let's do this. I've been waiting to hear you say that. Did you have a specific location in mind?" This was the moment of truth. Would they rise or crumble when faced against the various mobs out in the fields? All their talk of being better than the zombie like players in the city would be for nothing if they couldn't handle themselves.

If not for anyone else Cyrus wanted to at least prove to himself that he wasn't just talking just to be talking. He was a man of action and he would let those actions back up his words.

"As far away as possible without dieing." Kisodeth said in response to the question that was asked. With a gesture of her head, the two traveled around Aincrad's Floor One, the origin of their demise as one would think of it. But that was far in the back of her mind as it was now, she had plans to get stronger and to survive. She wanted to be back home, back where she could make her living. This world had to become a priority in her mind now. As much as she disliked being here, her bitchiness would only go so much farther if she did not keep herself in check. It was one thing to complain about something you could control, but complaining about something that you could not that was just waste of energy.

With their meager savings, they were able to purchase a set of two sleeping bags and a fire starting tool kit which would effectively keep away mobs from the camp site. That was a little skeptical but at least they wouldn't have to sleep on the grass entirely. Sapphire eyes once again rolled when Kisodeth noticed the sun had already started to set, "Well, [censored]. I was hoping we could get this done. But it looks like we have enough supplies for tonight at least. I don't think we can do too many of these outlander excursions in a row." She shrugged and rolled her eyes nonchalantly, almost appearing bored.

"You have equipment on you at the very least right? I got a sword and a shield on me. But I think I am ready to carve out some beasts and test out this combat. I've been watching some other players and on my off times I've been practicing the sword arts. I think I should be prepared enough to get some decent damage in. Anyways, it's almost dark out now. Let's go out and find a place to set up camp and then we can go slay some [censored]." @Cyrus

They were going on a trip outside the walls of the beginning town and he was a little excited actually. They were going to be able to  test their strength against the mobs and monsters of this new world. If he had been with anyone else it was possible that he might have second guessed their travelling. But he trusted Kiso and he would watch her back just like she would do for him. The young gamer didn't even question that thought. For the past few days they were getting to know each other. After effectively acquiring their travel gear they were off. While they would be exposed to the world it would be interesting to spend the night outside of the town. There was always a dark cloud of despair hanging over the town of beginnings. So much doubt and depression was just a little too much for his liking. It wasn't even like he could help them too much. All he could do was keep pushing on and just wish them the best with surviving until someone cleared the game. Honestly Cyrus wasn't even too hard pressed to do that either. Of course he had a life in the real world and family. But they were going to be okay. The only thing that made him want to complete the game eventually was that he didn't want his body to die in the real world.

While they were walking Cyrus did a little stretching which was kind if pointless in the game. "Yeah I managed to make a katana with my knew skill. It has some high damage. But I wasn't able to pick up any armor yet. I'm trying to get something rather specific made. My sword arts with my katana skill are pretty effective though. Together we should be able to take down monsters strong enough to drop some loot." Walking out of the gate with Kiso this moment was when their real adventure started. They had been all but playing around up until this point. They were fairly behind the frontlines at this point. But that time spent had not been done so idly. They knew a lot about their world now and would be able to catch up fairly easily if they tried. It was time to set his master plan in motion too.
