But then it crosses my mind, I'm now living in a video game. What am I going to do? Well, I guess I'll start off with the only thing I know to do. I'll separate from the main crowd and start grinding for levels. So I start my long walk to the edge of the lvl 1 mob fields. I carefully walk around the edge of the mob field, cautious not agro any of them. Once at the back of the field, I take a deep breath, saying to myself "I'd better start before everyone else gets out here." I take my first swing. Deedazbeeda: Health: 20 Dam: 2 Boar: Health: 10 Dam: 3 Deedazbeeda swings his sword: ID# 86200 results: Battle: 3 Craft: 7 Loot: 2 MOB: 4 After swinging at the boar, I remember that I've never actually swung a sword before, my strike glances across the boar's flesh, dealing no damage. Boar retaliates: ID# 86201 results: Battle: 6 Craft: 9 Loot: 8 MOB: 8 With my back against the boar, it pummels into me, knocking me down and dealing 3 DAM. Remaining health of player: 17. Deedazbeeda strikes: ID# 86203 results: Battle: 4 Craft: 3 Loot: 3 MOB: 8 This time, I try to hack at the boar, but my strength is weak, the boar just steps aside, rearing for an attack. Boar attack: ID# 86204 results: Battle: 5 Craft: 4 Loot: 14 MOB: 7 Again, it strikes me while my guard is low. I need to think of another way to go around this. 3 DAM remaining health of player: 14. Deedazbeeda's attack: ID# 86205 results: Battle: 6 Craft: 2 Loot: 18 MOB: 6 I see the boar ready for action, I fake a swing and watch the boar's reaction and swing again, my sword meets it's flesh, ah the satisfaction. I see it's health bar slowly go down. 2 DAM dealt remaining health of boar: 8. Boar's attack: ID# 86206 results: Battle: 6 Craft: 1 Loot: 20 MOB: 7 The boar didn't seem too happy about that, he pummels me once more, dealing another 3 DAM. Remaining health of player: 12. Deedz attack: ID# 86207 results: Battle: 9 Craft: 11 Loot: 10 MOB: 8 I feel I'm getting the hang of things now, I stab the boar in it's face, I see a words pop up, Critical hit 3 DAM. Remaining health of boar: 5. Boar attack: ID# 86208 results: Battle: 4 Craft: 12 Loot: 20 MOB: 4 This combat system is seeming rather simple to me, I strike the boar, it charges at me in return. That's exactly what it tries to do, I sidestep it and the attack misses. Deedz attack: ID# 86209 results: Battle: 3 Craft: 1 Loot: 20 MOB: 4 In my overconfidence, I forget to ready my sword, I try to take my chance to attack, but fail to hit. Boar attack: ID# 86210 results: Battle: 10 Craft: 1 Loot: 13 MOB: 4 The boar won't get the best of me, once more I dodge his attack. Deedz attack: ID# 86211 results: Battle: 3 Craft: 10 Loot: 2 MOB: 8 I'm starting to tire out, my swings aren't as good as they were a few seconds ago, my attack misses. Boar attack: ID# 86212 results: Battle: 1 Craft: 9 Loot: 8 MOB: 6 The boar strikes me while I'm worn out. 3 DAM remaining health of player: 9. Deedz attack: ID# 86213 results: Battle: 9 Craft: 3 Loot: 3 MOB: 4 I muster up as much strength as I can, and swing at the boar. The boar tumbles across the field, and extra point of damage being dealt thusly. 3 DAM remaining health of boar: 2. Boar attack: The boar is heavily weakened, and with just being thrown across the field, it takes it's turn just gathering it's strength. Deedz turn: ID# 86214 results: Battle: 3 Craft: 2 Loot: 19 MOB: 1 I try to run to where the boar is now at, but drop my sword along the way. Boar turn: ID# 86215 results: Battle: 1 Craft: 5 Loot: 17 MOB: 5 The boar hits me while I pick up my sword. 3 DAM remaining health of player: 6. Deedz turn: ID# 86216 results: Battle: 5 Craft: 10 Loot: 17 MOB: 7 I perform one last swing, it connects, the boar disintegrates in the air, oh what a relief. 2 DAM no health remains for the boar. Looting: ID# 86218 results: Battle: 9 Craft: 8 Loot: 2 MOB: 1 I gain 30 col, other than that I find nothing of use. And thus, my journey begins. Or maybe they just don't have anyone else to fall back upon. Nevermind them, I have a goal to achieve, I need to find another farming area, somewhere I can just fight by myself. There's a woman I see, she can't barely bring herself to fight, it looks like her child is with her, she must have been dragged into this by her son. The boar rears back, and I see her disappear, just as the boar I defeated did, I can't bear to watch. I run ahead, not looking back. It appears I've found it, the edge of the lvl 1 spawn fields, there appears to only be about a dozen players here. I decide that this is as good of a place as any to settle down and level up. I approach the first boar, it appears to have 12 HP now, but still only 3 attack, good. Quote Report Link to post Share on other sites

Turn 2: ID# 86227 results: Battle: 9 Craft: 12 Loot: 18 MOB: 9 I release the block and stab the boar in the side, critical I hear, but the boar continues to rush my and gores my stomach. ooof, i mutter as he also deals critical damage. Player health 16/20 | Boar health 9/12 Turn 3: ID# 86228 results: Battle: 6 Craft: 10 Loot: 4 MOB: 5 I break free of his hold, and slash at the boar as I strafe his side, he tries to catch me with his tusk again, but he barely misses. Player health 16/20 | Boar health 7/12 Turn 4: ID# 86229 results: Battle: 8 Craft: 2 Loot: 19 MOB: 3 I hack the boar with a nasty chop, another satisfying 2 damage is dealt. The boar tries to headbutt me, but I jump back, he misses. Player health 16/20 | Boar health 5/12 Turn 5: ID# 86230 results: Battle: 8 Craft: 3 Loot: 5 MOB: 9 My mind starts taking over, I swing again and hit, but leave myself open afterwards, the boar takes advantage and pummels me, pinning me to the ground. Player health 12/20 | Boar health 3/12 Turn 6: ID# 86231 results: Battle: 10 Craft: 5 Loot: 8 MOB: 5 With strength and courage I didn't know I had, I pushed the boar off of me, flipping it onto it's back, and stab it with one final blow. Critical Once more, the creature dissipates into nothing but data. I can't help but remember the lady I saw before. I see many average players, standard cloth and sword setup, just like mine. But I see a larger fellow, moving from one boar to the next, it appears he took the chest piece and war hammer instead. He is definitely above everyone else's league. I decide I might as well just continue, I don't want to fall behind. My health appears as full again and the boar I killed earlier is respawned. I gather up the strength and approach it once more thinking "This should be the last one I need to kill before I level up."
