Standing in front of the small mirror in her forgery, the woman turned her head left and right as she ran her hands through her hair. Before being trapped in the world of Aincrad, Jevi had dyed her natural hair purple. Her reasons for such a drastic change to her silky brown hair was so that she would be different, stand out from the rest. A cry for attention, she hated to admit, but that was what it was. The woman regretted it, finding a job was difficult, and she was never taken seriously, or seen as a punk or troublemaker. She could have chopped it all off, or she could have dyed it back to its natural color. That was, of course, her idea before Sword Art Online. Her outside world features scanned at the start of the game were now her avatar's features. Lucky for her, however, there were Alchemists in Aincrad with vanity items used to change the color of one's hair. So, after a quick trip to the shops on Floor Eleven, Jevi had returned to her natural brown hair. 

Once she was satisfied with the look of her hair, she stepped away from the mirror. Grabbing the hair tie off of her wrist, she took her hair in her hands and settled it out of the way in a ponytail. ~"Guess I should get back to work.. that dye wasn't exactly cheap."

On the opposite side of her shop was a large chest where she kept all of her building materials. Stepping over to the container, Jevi tapped the air just in front of the chest's lock. A box, similar to her inventory, opened up revealing her list of materials to use. Her yellow eyes went wide and mouth went crooked; it was empty. ~"W..what? [censored].. You've got to be kidding me." The girl growled and slapped the info box away. With a heavy sigh, the woman went into her own inventory and equipped her Desert Hawk armor and Izunami. she had been dealing with the heat too much on this floor. Profusely sweating and feeling as though she would pass out from the desert sun. That being said, the woman decided her best bet would be to go to the extreme opposite. ~"Warp; Floor Four!" The ball of blue light enveloped Jevi, and as it faded, her avatar was gone.

As the woman's body materialized onto the Fourth Floor, a gust of chilling air hit her exposed arms. She felt her whole body cool, going from the extreme heat to the extreme cold, and as the fog of her breath escaped her lips, the woman began to shiver. Delving into her inventory once again, the woman equipped a simple pale blue cloak that fell over her shoulders. It was not much, but at least it blocked the wind. The woman's heavy boots crunched into the snow as she stepped off of the platform and made her way through Snowfrost's town square. As she looked at the all too familiar town, she sighed sadly, disappointed in herself. She was still only level fifteen.. and her boyfriend.. at least, she hoped he still saw her as much.. was a front liner. She promised herself that she would get stronger for him.. but here she was, still falling behind as usual. She looked up at the snow as it fell onto her face, wondering what he was up to, and what Opal was up to. It had been a bit since he had seen either of them.

As the brunette exited the safety of Snowfrost, she figured it was a good time as any to start searching for materials. With the opening of the new Floor Twenty One, players of a high enough level would be able to start using Tier 3 weapons and armor. However, Jevi was only able to make Tier 1 equipment at the moment. If she was going to make more money, and be seen as useful, she would need to get her ass in gear and level up, both her craft and her power.

The woman searched for any sign of something she could use to craft a weapon or armor. She then caught the glimmer of something silver in color out of the corner of her eye near the stony side of a mountain. Moving over to investigate, Jevi brushed the snow off of the shiny object to reveal a vein of iron ore. Tapping the air above the metal, the woman transferred the contents into her inventory. She smirked, ~"Off to a good start I suppose."

After picking up the iron ore, Jevi continued the search for more metals. She kept her gaze close to the side of the cliff, hoping she would find some more iron that was part of the same vein. She considered seeing if there was a cave entrance into this mountain, where she could really score big on materials. However, the probability of running into monsters in a cave unannounced was higher, and, despite the higher mitigation from her armor, she would have some trouble taking them down. 

At the base of a tree near the mountain, she saw a large bump in the ground, covered with a blanket of snow. Feeling hopeful, the woman brushed the snow away with her boot, only to reveal more snow. She continued to dig; more snow. Crunching her boot right on top of the pile, she found her foot sank all the way through. It was just snow. ~"Tsk, damn.."

The woman sighed and continued her search for crafting materials. As she walked down the snow covered path, all she saw was snow, snow, and more snow. All of the lumps in the snow, that she expected to be hiding some sort of metal like before; nope, more snow. She would not have been surprised if she found a chest out here, to open it and just find snow. She growled and punched the nearest tree next to her, ~"Why the hell did you pick the floor covered in snow you idiot?" she cursed herself under her breath. The woman's punch to the tree was answered, with a pile of snow landing on top of her head and armor. ~"God f***ing dammit!" she shouted.

After the woman shouted, she heard her voice echoing off in the distance, until everything was silent but the wind, and the low bellowing growl becoming louder and louder. Her eyes went wide as she reached under her cloak, grabbing Izunami by the handle. She turned in place, looking for what was making the noise. Was it a wolf? a bear? Or something the developers created just the scare the [censored] out of the players. The woman bit her lip as she slowly pulled the sword out from behind her, brandishing the rainbow curved sword, waiting for the predator to strike. From behind one of the larger trees, Jevi saw bright piercing red eyes staring her down. It was not until it fully emerged from the back of the tree that Jevi saw it was a single dire wolf. The beast stood, on all fours, just below Jevi's height, and must have weighed twice as much as her. It snarled, revealing its large, slightly blood stained teeth.

The woman stared down the large canine before lifting her blade up to the beast and rushing at it. She brought the blade up over her shoulder and she ran forward, her blade emanating a red aura. She delivered six consecutive slashes with her curved sword, all from different angles. She riddled the face and shoulder regions of the wolf with small cuts, which soon disappeared. After the last cut with her sword, the wolf fought through the pain this player delivered to it and chomped down on her wrist. The woman yelped in fear, rather than pain. The wolf then wrenched the woman to the side, knocking her off balance. Using its large head, it bashed into Jevi's chest, repeating this whole motion two more times before releasing its victim from its grasp.

As the girl was knocked back, she looked down at her wrist. It was full of deep red gashes from the wolf's razor sharp teeth. She was lucky that her hand was still attached to her arm. She froze, for she was absolutely terrified. What had she gotten herself into. The woman's yellow eyes could not look away from her wrist, even though the wounds were slowly starting to heal. As she brought her gaze back up to the wolf, it was already charging at her.. and already too late. The beast tackled the woman, placing its two paws, each the size of her face, on her shoulders, pinning her to the ground. The wolf began to gnaw at her armor, trying to pry her open like a tin can. The woman grunted, imagining the pain while watching another large chunk of her health deplete.

With a solid burst of adrenaline rushing into her body, she threw her gauntleted hand out, keeping the wolf from chomping down onto her body once more. While holding the beast at bay, she was able to wiggle her other arm free and grabbed Opal's old sword, shoving it into the mouth of the wolf so the beast could not close its jaw. With a yelp, the wolf stepped off of Jevi, shaking its head, trying to free the sword from its mouth. The woman quickly got up and thought about running for a moment, turning her back on the beast. She then eyes her own health bar, and saw that she was fine. Her eyes went a bit wide, she was doubting herself more than she should. She could handle this.

Jevi then smirked, "Dammit Jose.. you made me soft." She turned around, to see the large wolf had dislodged the sword from its mouth and launcheditself into the air at Jevi, going in for the kill. Pulling back her fist, Jevi let a punch fly, right into the cheek of the wolf. With a yelp, the wolf crashed into the snow. Jevi did not do any damage, because of her lack of Martial Arts skill.. but at least she had a moment to get back to her sword. 

Rushing forth at full speed, Jevi managed to get a hold of the blade once more before the wolf came back. A moment later, the wolf was making its move again at her. Jevi held the blade at her hip, the rainbow blade glowing red, her eyes glowing the same hue. With a powerful step forward, she slashed through the wolf, leaving a large gash. She responded with five similar cuts along its body, the last one knocking the wolf back into a tree. "I will not sit here and die."

Jevi felt her muscles tense up as she saw the wolf slowly stand back up on all fours and shake off the damage she had just dealt to the beast. Its health was deep into the yellow, beginning to fall into the red. The wolf glared at her with its red eyes, slowly circling the brunette. Jevi stared back, ready for anything it threw at her. With a loud roar, the wolf ran straight at Jevi, looking to smash its head into her chest to knock her on her back. Lifting her sword straight up over her head, she brought its full force down on top of its skull, causing it to flinch and miss its target, now with the wolf running past her, she cut up the opposite side of its body. This attack was not as critical as a strike as last time, but anything beats that thing getting another devastating hit on her right now.

Jevi began to breath heavily, her energy starting to deplete form using her strongest sword art the entire fight. Her yellow eyes glared at the wolf across from her, who was losing its health rather quickly. She grabbed her sword in both of her hands, tightening the grip around the handle of the blade. The wold lifted its head up into the air, letting out a piercing howl. Jevi took this as the opportunity to rush forward and slash it across the neck. As she did so, it stood up on its hind legs and began to lose its balance. Jevi continued to cut through the wolf's stomach, all the wile the wolf was swinging its own claws at the woman, cutting her at her face, arms, and chest. With one last, powerful slash, she knocked its head into the snow. The beast let out a yelp as it scuttled backwards away from the attacking woman.

As the wolf retreated backwards, feeling defeated to the brown haired woman, she mustered up the last of her energy and continued on the approach. She took two steps forward, raising the curved sword above her head once again. She saw the wolfs eyes, with its head still lowered to the snow, look up at her as she brought the first chop straight down on the top of its head. Pulling the blade from its cranium, she brought it up over her head again and again, slicing downward until the wolf was no more. With the last hit, the wolf exploded as if it were made of glass.

With the fight over, she stumbled backwards, trying to catch he breath. She looked at her health bar, still in the green and no where near leaving her in danger. Though she did not get any loot from the monster, she had fended it off herself. She grinned, leaning her back against a nearby tree. "I did it.." she said, looking up at the falling snow above her.

Jevi let her back slide down the tree as she regained her composure after the fight. If she had not been so careless while searching out here, she would not have had to fight that wolf. She pulled her knees towards her chest and let her forehead rest atop them, trying to calm herself down from the panic attack she was having. What if it were something more powerful? Like a field boss, or just a tougher enemy meant for higher level players on this floor. She took in a shaky deep breath before picking her head back up and expelling the breath. She couldn't think about that now, she was still out in the wilderness, still looking for materials. 

Taking a quick look around her area while sitting in the snow, she searched for any sign of a material to use. Of course, just more snow. ~"[censored]." she said with a chuckle.

The woman placed her hands on either side of her as she pushed herself up onto her feet once again. The snow on her shoulders and knees slid off as she straightened out her body, using her hands to brush off the rest of it where she could reach. Kneeling to the floor, she picked up Izunami and placed it back in its holster under her cloak. The woman decided to turn around and start her search again a little bit closer to the safe zone of Snowfrost, just so she could make a quick escape if things were looking back. As she started to make her way towards the beaten path, her foot got caught on something, knocking a good amount of snow off with the force of the kick. Her eyes looking down to investigate revealed another small vein of iron ore. Smiling, Jevi bent over to collect the material.

Before she stood up fully, here eyes caught glimpse of another vein just next to the one she had just mined from. Slightly shifting her body, Jevi brushed the snow off of the adjacent material to find it was the same yet again, some more iron. Repeating the same action from before, she placed the material into her inventory. The woman stood up straight once again, taking a quick look around the area to make sure that there were no more monsters trying to sneak up on her from behind. Though she was scared of being attacked, she felt proud she was able to fend that wolf off on her own. She smiled softly as she lifted up her hand to open up her HUD to check how many materials she had gathered so far. Only three.. Not much, but it was better than nothing.

As she brought her hand up to close her menu, her eyes looked at the small letter icon on the other side of the screen. She only stared at it for a second before tapping the button and setting up a message to Grave.

She sent off the message with a tap of the button with a smile. After sending the message, she heard another growl. This time, it was not as deep and threatening as the Dire Wolf. As she frantically looked for where the sound was coming from, she saw a smaller looking wolf glaring at her, baring its teeth. It did not look young enough to be a cub, but was no where near the same size as a dire wolf. The woman reached under her cloak once again, grabbing her curved sword.

The brunette smirked as she stared down the wolf. She had taken out one of its larger, more threatening brethren, she would be able to handle this smaller canine with ease. The woman did not herself become cocky, though, for the moment she would, the wolf would be able to get the best of her and make quick of her. She decided to take this fight into her own hands, and use the practice to hone her skills. With a step to the right, the woman ran at the wolf with a cut from the hip, followed by one from the opposite shoulder, completing a star like pattern on the wolfs body. The single attack alone, despite not being a critical, sent the wolf tumbling back into the snow, suffering from quite a lot of damage. Jevi chuckled and extended her hands out to the sides, ~"Come on, is that all you've got?"

As the wolf tumbled and struggled to get off, Jevi lowered her curved sword to her hip and took the initiative to attack once again, before the beast had a chance to counter. As she drew in closer, the white wolf was able to get up on all fours and face Jevi, lifting itself onto its hind legs to prop itself up onto the woman attacking it. Just as she had with the dire wolf, she took the opened body of the wolf as the opportunity to take it down. As the wolf's paws landed on her shoulders, she began to slice up the beast's chest and stomach with her Oval Crescent attack. The beast opened its mouth wide, looking to take a bite at Jevi's head. However, with the last strike with her sword, the beast returned to its basic form; nothing but data. The white crystals fell to the ground and disappeared.
