The bound and gagged man stares terrified at the large man as he slowly approaches and removes the gag from the bound man’s mouth. “Now I’ll free you no matter what because no one deserves to tied up and gagged like an animal ready for slaughter but am I to assume you’re Cassin?” Alec asks in a deep soft tone. The bound man coughs and clears his throat. “I am Cassin good Sir and you say my brother Ali sent you free me? If that is truth then I thank you and owe you a great debt.” the bound man stated rather formally given his current situation. Alec nodded and reached down easily slicing through the mans bonds with the serrated blade of his battle axe. After freeing the man Alec reached down and offered Cassin a hand to rise to his feet which he accepted and stood facing Alec and giving him a formal nod.

Alec returns the mans nod and begins turning to lead the way out of the cave. As he turns he catches out of the corner of his eye the man Cassin reach into a hidden pocket of his robes and slid a gleaming golden ring onto his finger that he had obviously hidden from the Thieves earlier so not to have it stolen. Alec didn’t give the ring a second thought as he remembered what the drunk man Ali had said about a cave full of riches and treasure so Alec began searching the cave in hopes of finding at least one of these treasure chests the intoxicated man had rambled on about. Alec systematically searched the confines of the cave. Alec systematically searched the cave but came up empty handed. The Thieves must have moved the treasure from here to some other location for safe keeping and protection after having it found by Ali and Cassin. It made sense to Alec at least as he turned to Cassin and gave him a nod. "Lets get out of here and back to town." Alec stated as he turned to the cave mouth and found it blocked by two more Thieves brandishing their knives and glaring hatefully at Alec.

As Alec turned and saw his path blocked by two more of the Thieves brandishing their knives Alec calmly raised his shield before him to defend against their attacks and readied his Axe of Rending to swung at whichever approached him first. “If you’re looking for your friends.” Alec began flatly. “You won’t find them here, but don’t worry I’ll send you to the same place I sent them and you can be reunited in the afterlife.” Alec finished as the lead Thief darted toward him knife blade flashing. Alec calmly stood his ground and swung his serrated axe head down at the leading Thief and tore a viscous wound in his side that vented red pixels into the air as he and his companion charged in stabbing and slicing. As the their knives darted Alec shifted his shield to counter diverting all but the most minor of damage away from himself safely as his shield tore into the Thieves and left them bloody and cut as he exploded in a ball of fire and super heated gas that washed over the Thieves forcing them to retreat away from the big man.

The Thieves bobbed and wove dancing in front of and behind each other trying to lull Alec into a flash sense of security and make him drop his guard and make a foolish mistake. Alec saw an opportunity and swung out with his axe scoring a solid hit that tore a fresh wound int he Thief reopening the old wound to begin bleeding profusely again. But Alec had fallen for their ploy and they both dove on him slashing and stabbing repeatedly luckily Alec’s armor held and he only received minor scratches from their attacks. Alec swore at himself for being led into their trap he had to fight smart and not leave himself open for such faints and ploys in the future. Alec took a deep calming breath and raised his shield back up before himself and readied his axe he would teach these Bandits he was no easy prey he was their demise.

Alec watched calmly and patiently as the pair of Thieves continued there dancing and whirling trying to distract him and make him falter. Alec stood solid and still patiently watching till he saw a opening. As the leading Thief dove forward Alec swung his serrated axe head down at the Thief but the Thief dodge at the last second and Alec barely missed the man tearing a gash in his robes instead of his body. Both Thieves darted in at Alec stabbing and slashing like wild. Alec slid his shield around deflecting most of the their damage away and only receiving minor scratches from their knives as his shield tore into them opening wide cuts that leaked red pixels into the air. This fight was almost over, Alec just needed to maintain his composure and level head and he would walk out of here with Cassin in tow and return him to his brother Ali.

Alec stood still waiting for the Thieves to make their move and commit but they kept dancing and prancing around staying out of his reach. Alec had had enough of this as he growled in frustration and jerked forward slashing at the leading Thief with his battle axe but Alec had fallen for their ploy and his attack was rushed and off balance as he swung out in frustration missing wildly and ending up off balance and on a knee. They Thieves launched themselves at Alec stabbing and slashing maniacally as Alec raised his shield up over his head to defend himself from their whirlwind of blades. Between his Heavy Armor and shield the damage was drastically reduced to again only minor cuts and nicks as if he had a bad time shaving. As the Thieves finished they danced away and allowed Alec the chance to stand up as he rolled his shoulders to relieve tension and took a deep breath to calm himself.

As the Thieves continued their dance and movements Alec stood patiently taking deep calming breaths to sooth his nerves after falling for their ploys but he began to see a pattern in their movements and as the leading Thief darted in Alec swung his serrated battle axe blade down and chopped into the Thief. The Thief’s armor hiding under his robes absorbed most of the damage but Alec’s strike was perfect and tore a gaping wound in the Thief’s body that caused him to begin to shake and jolt before exploding in a cloud of red pixels that rained down and disappeared. With Alec destroying his companion the remaining Thief came in like a shark as he stabbed and slashed at Alec. Alec moved his shield and expertly to block the attack without taking any damage at all form the lone Thief’s attack. Alec shot the Thief a menacing grin as it was now down to one on one.

Alec took deep slow calming breaths as he watched the Thief’s moves trying to discern a pattern in their use. As he watched he became entranced by the subtle gentle flowing moves and had to shake his head to refocus as he swung out with his serrated battle axe, but at the last moment the Thief twirled and sidestepped Alec’s swing causing Alec to cleave only empty air. However mid spin the Thief stumbled and tripped flailing out and missing wildly on his attack at Alec. As the Thief righted himself and danced away from the large man Alec took several deep breaths to recenter himself and calm his mind as he continued to watch the Thief’s moves as he hunted for a pattern he could use to gauge his next attack and help ensure a hit the next time he swung out at the Thief.

Alec eyed the lone Thief with a hard eyed glare and a scowl firmly etched onto his features. The Thief’s dancing and whirling became much less effective with only the one man and Alec easily tracked his movements as he moved back and forth. Alec waited patiently till the Thief finally advanced and as he neared Alec swung out with his viciously serrated battle axe blade and landed a solid strike against the Thief as he darted in. The Thief’s armor absorbed most of the strike leaving only a tiny scratch where Alec’s axe had truck then the Thief’s blade darted in and Alec moved his shield to block as he took a tiny scrape to the side his shield dug into the Thief slashing a mighty gash it the Thief that caused the man to begin shaking and twitching before exploding into a shower of red pixels that rained down and disappeared.

With the last of the Thieves defeated Alec glanced over his shoulder at the man he had just rescued and offered in his deep baritone rumble. “Well Cassin lets see about getting out of this desert and back to Fotazela and your brother Ali. He was really missing you and was very anxious for your safe return. So lets get out of this cave and back to town. What do you say?” The man Cassin answered his voice finally starting to gain some stability. “Yes please good Sir. I would very much appreciate a cool drink and a soft chair to rest in.” With that Alec led the way out of the cave and into the now cold desert night as he led the man he had just rescued back to the town of Fotazela and made his way to the Desert Rose Inn and the tavern situated next door.

As Alec opened the door to the tavern for Cassin and followed him inside he instantly heard an exclamation from across the bar. "Brother!!!" was the first thing Ali shouts at the sight of his brother entering the tavern, right before he rushed across the tavern to the door and hugged the one he thought of as most likely dead. The brothers share a long and heartfelt embrace as neither likely thought they would see the other again and obviously were very close to each other. As they gush over the joy of seeing each other and how they both assumed they would never again have the chance to say good bye to each other. Alec stands off to the side not wanting to interrupt the heartfelt emotional outpouring coming from the two men as they continue their long drawn out embrace of each other and gushing of emotions and fears. As the brothers finish their emotional reunion scene, Ali comes over to Alec and places a large pouch filled with Col coins in his hands "I can't thank you enough for this. I won't forget what you did for me, please accept this as a small token of my gratitude." he adds with a joyful expression. With one more "Thank you!" he goes to his brother and they celebrate his return with opulence.

With that a <<QUEST COMPLETE>> banner pops up in Alec’s vision and a triumphant chime can be heard in the air. Alec turns to leave the tavern opening his inventory and unequipping his weapon, armor and shield and heads next door to the Desert Rose Inn with his friend and trusted travelling companion a much needed meal, a cool drink, a warm bath and a nights worth of sleep Alec felt a sense of accomplishment today and looked forward to what tomorrow held. Maybe he’d go check out the Sixth Floor tomorrow. As he looked down to Humphrey Alec asked his friend. “So what do you think about getting out of this desert and checking out the Sixth Floor tomorrow?” Humphrey responded with a loud and affirmative growl that made Alec chuckle as he too was done with this floor and its wretched desert and all its gods forsaken sand.
