She couldn’t keep dreaming about the bathhouse if she couldn’t even kill this fox. She could have stayed out here all day, but she had run out of time. Surely, her friends would like something practical... Maybe a weapon, or armor or something. She bit her lip as she sunk deeper into the sand, smiling slightly and actually wishing the sand would pull her under. Hinata couldn’t help but burst out laughing when she realized that she was contemplating death over having to keep fighting this fox. She scolded herself who was clearly hell bent on giving herself a hard time. She talked to herself like she was just a little kid despite looking like a hardened fighter now. Well, that was all they had to do. Now that she was tied up in her mind she confessed to overeracting. She waasn’t going to accept that she had missed so she redoubled her efforst and actually hit the fox this time. It wasn’t up to her whether he lived, but the rng system whatever that was around here. All she knew now was that she had a bunch of free time. She turned to her friend and asked, “so, want to head on to the beach and take the rest of the day off?” As she spoke she took off her outer clothes to reveal that she’d been wearing a bathing suit the whole time just for this occasion. She’d stay outside with Prim if she wanted or she’d go inside if she was amenable to her offer. She’d talk the rest of the day away and then go home. She was sure this fox was going to die within another hit or two. She tried to attack and she was quite successful to the contrary. It wasn’t anything special but it was no big deal. She went into this knowing that she wasn’t going to dominate her opponent. She gritted her teeth and said, “yes, concede, yes,” to the fox and hoped that the pressure would be alleviated from her body as she plunged her dagger into it for the final time. She knew that this was just a way for the higher ups to make sure people weren’t getting too cushy since no matter what someone was going to end up suffering in this kind of fight. She kind of regretted getting so emotionally into this fight when her thoughts brought emotional memories into her mind. But that was enough of that. She looted the fox and ended up with a happy sum of money. She was going to buy some stuff soon!
