» About: Joe Maxwell is normal young man with a problems like everybody else. He goes to college, he has a job and pays the bills like everybody else. The only difference between Joe and everybody else is that he escapes from the world into SAO, which grants him the possibility to be the person he decides to be. When he was a kid, his parents died and the foster family that adopted didn't like him. He grew up being alone and hated, so his escape were school and games. He didn't have much while growing up but he did what he could with what he had. Even though he didn't have the best childhood, he doesn't regret it. After some years and finally getting to college and having a good life he decides to try out the game SAO. After getting in the first day...

After getting stuck in the game just starting, he hopes to not die (if it's for real or not) and be able to beat the game, so in turn he can escape to the real world. But until he does that, he will fight to the best of his abilities. Because of this he is not able to trust the other players very well, which makes him kind of a solo player, most of the time but... he know that will have to change... if he wants to survive.

» Personality: He's a very lonesome kind of person. He didn't have that many friends growing so he learned how to survive on his own. He's not very trusting of strangers but his willing to put his fear aside in order to survive the game.

. Loyal: One's he finally decides to rust someone, he makes the decision of being a friend for life.

. Survivor: He knows how to go at it alone and can make his own path in the game.

. Calm: Few things phase him thanks to his smart and calculative thinking. He prefers to not show his emotions in order to make non rational decisions.

. Distrustful: Due to his background it is hard for him to trust anyone, even in a video game.

. Skeptic: He doesn't take everything as it is thinking that everything around him has an ulterior motive.

. Tactless: He doesn't really care what other people think so he always speaks his mind, not thinking of the consequences.
