Reytac 0 Posted 2 hours ago #1 Share Posted 2 hours ago Click Click Boom: Purveyor of Gadgets, Gizmos, and more! (Don't mind the smoke, watch your step!) It wasn't much - a humble, small tent, and a small cobbled together work bench inside. A sign, staked outside proclaimed its purpose to anyone who observed it. Small enough, light enough, to be stored up and taken with the owner on the move. When set up, inside, there is a sturdy work bench with a vise and clamp on one side, with a tool stand welded together placed next to it with well oiled tools adorning the rack. A flicking globe hangs in the center, lighting the small white tent. A lamp, with a lightly lavender-scented oil inside burning away merrily. A low slung table with large dividers set upon it, with a sign above each section - "SparkStones: When you need to hit a bit harder" Rests above one, with a single, lonely, twisted root bundle inside of it. "Traps: Area Denial, Anyone?" This section of the table lies barren. "Bombs: To Whom It May Concern" This section of the table lies barren.
Reytac 0 Posted 2 hours ago Author #2 Share Posted 2 hours ago Reytac clapped his hands together as he finished hammering the sign into the ground. For now, he was only a short distance away from the outer gate of the major city on the second floor - he'd been tempted to roam, see where he could fit in, but still felt like he wasn't strong enough to realistically handle the threats on higher floors - a combination of level, and gear. So for now, here he was. Maybe later, he'd set up somewhere else more permanently. "Well, it isn't much, and it certainly ain't home, but - it's mine." Rey moved inside and looked towards his table, where he would be displaying his wares. He picked up the single Sparkstone he had so far and tossed it back and forth between his hands. "I'll need to make sure to lock these down for now. I don't think most people would steal, but killing isn't the only way to get an orange tag." He sighed - that meant more work, getting glass cases to hold his wares.
Reytac 0 Posted 2 hours ago Author #3 Share Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Reytac got started - time waited for no one, and just like leveling, grinding on a profession was something that needed to be done, or it wouldn't get done. No one was going to make these things for him. He pulled a small wooden stool out of his inventory and plopped it in front of his work bench, and began working. It was delicate work, fiddling with rocks, geodes, crystals, and roots. For working with the engineering thing, from what products he had, it was easier to stick to the mineral materials, as opposed to organic ones. He could see a use for them in one of the recipes, but right now he just wanted to make a casing or two. His first attempt at making a casing for a Sparkstone, ended up in an abysmal failure. Rey was trying to open a dense metal-laden rock. But one strike from his hammer went a bit too hard, and he ended up crushing the rock against the table, ruining it for a casing. He took in a slow breath, then exhaled. It was very important to remember that he was a fresh, brand new engineer, and didn't have a trainer sitting over his shoulder watching him now. The second time, went a bit more smoothly. Using a chisel to concentrate the force of the hammer some, the brunette tinked his way through a rock, cracking it open. Carefully he knocked away the sediment inside, then lacquered the outside of the stone, adding a hinge to it as he worked. Once he had the innards to combine with this, he'd be able to market this one as a success! Once he had the rest.
