She was in a safe zone. Well...kind of... just on the outskirts of Dayurga...she was chasing a rumour of a haunted house. She was a little nervous about it, but wanted to do this on her own. Alinta knew Scar would be here in an instant, helping her, guiding her. Offering her words of support as she stepped out of her comfort zone but... she had to do this. She had to do this on her own. Alinta --> Scar: I'm by Dayurga. I'm going to try and get a familiar today! There are all these cute and creepy puppets that inhabit an abandoned house on the outskirt of the safe zone. I'm a little nervous. She sent the message, letting him know where she was. Where she would be. This floor wasn't very pleasant. And Alinta wondered if it would be too much to ask Scar to join her in a bath. The lewd thought caused the woman to pause and slap her cheeks. No. None of that right now. She pulled out her spyglass, looking through its small lens so she could get a closer look at the house before approaching. High on stilts it was dry enough, away from the marshlands. It looked abandoned, an through its window she could see movement. It's okay. they're safe. You're safe. You're fine...you can run away if you need to. Alinta took a deep breath and a step forward. Toward the first quest she would ever complete on her own. And the scent of rotted marshland was steeped heavily in the still air of the floor. The woman missed the fresh breezes of the lower floors. The warmth of the sun. Here, it all felt muted...dreary. But, she supposed that was why the rumor lead her here in the first place. Alinta didn't want some simple animal for her familiar. She wanted something interesting, something fun something she'd never get to have in the real world. Otherwise...what was the point in this game? Rotten wood creaked beneath Alinta's feet as she stepped onto the forgotten houses porch. Red ropes hung from the awning, covered in little paper dolls. Warding away evil spirits. Cute Alinta thought. She loved things like this. Another message was sent to her boyfriend. Alinta --> Scar: Floor 12 is filled with marshlands...where I am is safe but...its gross. I'm going to need a bath when I get back to the inn. A pause. A deep breath. Then a quickly typed second message filled with typos; showing just how nervous she was to send it. Alinta--> Scar: Uouy canjoun me if oyu want. Scitter The woman jumped. Turning to see nothing behind her but the scattered dust and dirt, lifted up by something that had just ran past. The familiar! Alinta scrambled, turning to follow the footsteps down a dark hall. "Wait!" She'd call out to it. Not even sure what she was looking for. "C'mere! I won't bite!"
